ALDI Ambiano Vacuum Food Sealer with Inbuilt Roll Storage (Jul 2019-2021)

good while it works properly – worked well for about 20 seals them stopped auto heat sealing as vacuum seemed to not work completely therefore the heat seal doesn't turn on...still works to some degree with manual heat seat but I will be returning for a replacement... Aldi replaced with new unit...works well so far

New Vacuum Sealer on the Block! – Yeh no-one's paying me for this review. So....genuine. As a long term vacuum sealer lady, this is one sexy beast. White compared to everything I own is black bleak. I've done and worn through 3 Kmart models. I'm a budget pensioner. I've bought more expensive models that don't do the job. A sealer needs to have as a basic model, an inbuilt roll compartment, and a cutter and other basic features like, pulse or full vacuum. KMart has that. But it doesn't have a a cord winder underneath the machine. Heaven! THIS machine has it all. Vacuum Seal on pulse. Good for ice cream cones. And like most machines a choice for wet/dry cos I'm a nut who freezes her fish sauce. Hey! Takes me forever to plough though that stuff before it expires! I'll let you know how it goes. Cos, I've vacuumed everything at present. Including my custard powder.

Broken from new - wish I kept my receipt to return it – Purchased from Aldi - and unfortunately didn't keep my receipt - and didn't use for a couple weeks after purchase date. Clip on side doesn't connect properly when lid is closed and it won't work unless you can force it and keep it down. Disappointed as I've wasted my money on something very poorly made. Don't buy or keep your receipt.

Great product, easy to use – We have recently decided to start buying our meat in bulk from a quality butcher and decided we needed to freeze this meat a better way than the old freezer bags or zip lock bags- hello vacuum sealer! The Aldi one came recommend to us from family members and it was in the special buys that Wednesday. Our meat delivery had arrived a few days earlier than expected so off to Aldis we went. They had plenty in stock and plenty of extra rolls too. Stocked up we headed home to try out our new toy. (No rolls are actually included with it so make sure you grab a box or 2 of rolls). Opening the box the machine was wrapped in a plastic bag with some extra cardboard in the box holding it in place. Minor thing with the plastic but we should all be doing our bit. A simple quick guide was attached to the machine itself with a more comprehensive instruction and warranty card inside the box. I found the quick guide sufficient to get me on my way. I love the handy roll holder and cutter inside the machine, very easy to use. Once plugged in and turned on I was ready to begin! I cut my first bag from the roll - of course I made it too big for the first one (I was bound to make it too big or too small of course) but that wasn't a problem. After sealing the bottom I placed my meat inside then vacuum sealed the other end. My first attempt wasn't really working so good and I was starting to think uh-oh, I've got the dud! However upon a little investigating and reading the quick guide a little more carefully I realised I hadn't closed the lid properly. You have to push down quite hard on the corners until you hear and feel them click in. Then I started the vacuum seal again and it instantly worked perfectly. Push the 2 release buttons once it's finished and voile! 1 perfectly vacuum sealed bag of meat ready for the freezer. Overall I used one whole roll for approx 14kgs of meat. I had to cut one more bag from a second roll but I know I made the first few bags a bit bigger than required so I easily could have bagged the whole lot with the one roll. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. Works exactly as it is supposed to, very easy to use and a great price to match. Straight off the bat I give it 5 stars. (If it dies in less than a year I will have to update my review)

Worth looking for a name brand – This started well, sure the option of cutting your own bag size is an advantage. Length of fully operation time is less than the year warranty given. Though in the beginning was functioning well, though noisy, it now only seals. The vacuum aspect of machine stopped working. It goes through the process of vacuuming but after 20 seconds of non completion - well there is something wrong with the machine. Did I get a faulty product maybe. Unfortunately replacing this item from Aldi definitely won’t be on my shopping list again. Will be looking for a brand name that I am comfortable with.
