get them back online without having to physically go and manually reset them as if you're going to do that every time when it's so regular. I got these from Aldi cuz Aldi usually has good quality products was bitterly disappointed.
Absolutely trash cameras. Take 12hrs to charge, and you'll be lucky to get 2 weeks of life if you have a high traffic area... motion sensor just kills the battery. suggest either replacing the splitter cable or hard drive unit so I did the splitter cable at first as it was a lot cheaper but this did not resolve the issue. Then the hard drive started making ticking like noises and then completely died. So I purchased a new hard drive unit and now I’m having initialising issues. I have contacted tech support again and am waiting on a reply. Lastly the app doesn’t work as in i can not see any live video on the app, it just shows 4 blank screens. Never had so many issues with a piece of tech in my life. Avoid all cocoon products as they are junk and shouldn’t be in business selling such inferior products!
Not good at all as described – Very poor usability. Goes offline most of the time. Very hard to get a live stream when needed. Wake up does not work at all. Goes offline most of the time. The App is often not able to retrieve data from the cameras & Batteries barely last a week – The App takes ages to access the selected camera and often cannot access it at all. re-charging after only a few days up to a week at best. With 4 cameras this results in a continual cycle of charging at least one of them all the time? The cameras also appear to detect motion from outside of the field of vision - they send an alarm when there is nothing there.
About 2 years in use - high quality night/day ; very user friendly interface – I like it some muct that I am currently researching options to add more cameras to my existing install or how to expand using hdd provided with my original system purchase; consideing the price for 8 units I migh get new system adding my installed cameras to it. finally told me some pcb thing in the dvr is damaged. There is not replacement dvr available i repent buying this security system every day now. I repent the big sum of money i paid for installation. Support has no solution to the problem instead they suggest but the whole 8 camera security system now. And still i see there is no replacement dvr for the 8 camera system so when this stops working in 1 years time again i will be sitting helplessly after having spent on 2 security systems with this brand and suffering to pay a big amount for camera installations.

Well, it did work fine up until now. 6 months out of warranty and I have no video files to view. I contacted customer support at winplus. As I thought, they claim the hdd has failed, they recommend me to replace the hdd. I did, costing me another $75. The same problem lost disk I have spent hours trying to get this thing to record with no success. I contacted winplus support again. I stated to them that this unit doesn't comply to Australian consumer law, 18 months and the unit has failed. This is not good enough. Now I have to find a hdvr from some where and one that works the way I want it... DON'T BUY COCOON CRAP!

are only good during the day time. Recording is poor quality. Messaging when motion detection is on you receive messages almost every minute when nothing has actually been detected. Only way to solve this is by turning it off then what’s the point of having it. Very poor quality . ACC should ban Aldi from selling these types of products as it’s just a rip off.

replacement DVR. They're only advice was to try another DVR nodule from someone like Jaycar. They also suggested the power supply could be at fault. I checked the power supply under load and it was fine. I purchased a DVR module and a compatible disc drive for $185. The drive for the cocoon DVR arrived at a cost of $55.
As a disabled person I need the camera system for visual information when people arrive at various areas of my house. System is very good while It was working, but longevity appears to be a problem as is the lack of spare parts availability. If I could have purchased a new DVR I would give them four stars.
You get what you pay for, it's not good quality for this model – I purchased 2 units because I needed 8 cameras to cover the area I have. object moving faster than a very slow walk is blurred particularly if it's more than 10m from the camera. playing back recorded images that were not still were all blurred.
Forget snapshots of any thing with movement. Basically unless the image is still and within 2m of the camera you have little hope of making out an identity.
With my setting on high quality I only get about 2 weeks of recorded history before the data is rewritten over. I would have ti use the lowest setting to get a month of recordings and the quality being so bad what's the point in having the system. yes I can change to a larger drive but then I may as well have purchased a better system to start with.
After about a month I notice that the system would reboot almost every hour and also when I try to use the mouse. the system would freeze reboot and then I could access the menu and use the mouse.
I tried to connect it to the web but my mobile app could never find the connection I also considered that being such poor quality I didn't trust the internal security to open the cameras to the web.
Finally after about two months I noticed the picture quality getting worse particularly at night the multi screen dividers were ghosting over a single image and obscuring the video. not to mention spiders seem to love the cameras I have to clean the webs off almost every day and even spraying a residual insect spray around the camera doesn't seem to stop them making webs around the camera. I have a lot of great spider videos the problem is the web reflects the IR lights and blocks most of the image.
I have seen a lot of professional setups and they look far better quality and seem a loot easier to use than this system.
Impressive – For $199 this four camera security purchased from Aldi is tremendous value. Easy setup, picture quality very good and custumor support service from Winplus five stars. Very happy with purchase.

function to select area of monitor and sensitivity adjustment, but after trying all possible combinations, it's either too sensitive or doesn't detect at all.
Overall, we got what we paid for. At $199, it serves our main objective of providing a deterrent and monitoring online when we are overseas. However, coupled with an existing alarm monitoring system, has the motion detection failure covered.
