Check product thoroughly – Purchased Stick Vacuum in late January 2023 for $100 from local Aldi store. Was aware that it was a budget brand but the features and build quality made it seem a worthwhile purchase to use as an occasional backup vacuum. The vacuum appeared to work well and while probably not up there with the much more expensive brands did what was required of… Read more

it. Cleaned dust canister and metal filter after most uses so did not notice any lack of performance. In the last moth had noticed some fine dust being emitted from top of filter and a build up of same in the top filter which is unserviceable. When referring to the manual to try and find out why this was happening I discovered that the HEPA filter that should sit within the outer metal filter (and not visible from the outside) was not there. I was annoyed that I had not investigated this more thoroughly earlier but as this part of the vacuum was pre assembled out of the box I had erroneously assumed it was complete. My request to the after sales support for the supply of the HEPA filter was refused on the grounds of the delay from date of purchase and that I did not follow the instructions in manual not to use the vacuum without the HEPA filter. Whilst my request was handled promptly I feel that it was reasonable for me to expect the filter to be in place. The bottom line is that you should carefully inspect these products from purchase and that the cheaper product might not be the most prudent buy.

PATHETIC – Won't even pick up a grain of rice. No suction even on timber floors. Won't automatically turn off when fully charged. You have to put it on a timer as instructions tell you don't overcharge. Lost my receipt so can't return. Wouldn't give it to my worse enemy. Can only give it to a child so they can pretend there vacuuming. Show details

Vacuum with no filter – Vacuum was hardly used but was working really well until I noticed a burning smell coming from the motor. On further investigation it was discovered that the dust that was being vacuumed had apparently gone up into the motor because the filter that was supposed to have been attached to the motor was missing. As it was still under warranty I… Read more

enquired from the manufacturer only to be told that we should have checked the vacuum out when we first bought it. Supposing it was a microwave, would I have been expected to check that out somehow? How ridiculous. So now I am stuck with a vacuum that doesn't work because they had omitted to put the part on the motor.

This is a disposable product that will end up in landfill – I purchased my Easy Home VC-R01-WG 2 in 1 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner from Aldi a few years ago. At first I was happy with its performance, the turbo option worked great, but after time the battery pack started to fail. Replacement batteries are not available for this model and although it only uses five 18650 batteries it’s design makes it difficult… Read more

to change them because they are welded together so the average person at home can not tackle this repair without special equipment. It is great product and everything else works perfectly, it’s unfortunate that this is a disposable product that will end up in landfill.

good value for money – Purchased Sept 2020. Works very well. I have mainly wooden floors with only one room carpeted and one very shaggy mat. Has a boost option for stubborn spots. Easy to empty and clearly able to see how full the chamber is. Charge lasts about 30 minutes which is plenty for my house. Not too heavy to use and plugs in easily to the wall bracket. Only down side is the wall bracket does not hold the vac properly, tends to slide down.  Show details

What a great lightweight vacuum cleaner – This vacuum cleaner clearly does the job. Its got plenty of suction power - especially in turbo mode and that spinning brush head lifts up dust that other vacuum cleaners leave behind. Make no mistake - this does not replace your big, heavy duty vacuum cleaner though it might for a rented room or small apartment. It great for a quick interim… Read more

vacuum like vacuuming heavy use areas such as entrance ways and hallways. The dust cannister and filter are very easy to clean and there is reasonable dust capacity for a lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner. Of course you can always use it as a hand held vac as well and it also comes with a brush head that is tucked away just under the inlet. I give it the thumbs up

Aldi 2 in 1 cordless vacuum – I purchased this in March 2019 it continually slows down during use and sometimes cuts out. The Turbo turns off. I'm over it and are taking it back. Otherwise it's a good vacuum. Show details

Don't purchase – Over 12 months but hardly used on carpet ..... then motor made noise and just packed up. Would not recommend as I've had other vacuums last for years and still working. Yes, they cost $300 and the stirling stick $100. Now have to throw it out ......no wonder we have problems with landfill! Show details

Easy Home (Aldi) 2-in-one cordless vacuum cleaner – I have found this to do a good job but I have not used any other stick vacuum cleaner so cannot compare it. As usual for the products Aldi sells, it is most excellent value at $99.99. The handpiece removes easily. It has a short pullout nozzle on the handpiece so won't reach awkward tight spots but I don't know one that does. That's a job… Read more

for the 'old' dustpan and brush.

The brush for carpets is relatively easy to remove by pushing on the black lever from the back towards the front (can be a little tricky until you get the hang of it) and it easy to remove the hair etc. caught up in it .

To empty it perhaps put on a pair of rubber gloves, put a large piece of newspaper down and dust it all off. There are 2 filters which need cleaning, these are washable as is the plastic mesh section.

There's a hanger for the wall which gets it off the floor and out of the way.

My one 'bugbear' is that I keep hitting the turbo button as it's close to the on/off switch. I have to remember not to slide my hand further down the handle. An unusual feature is that the handle folds for getting under low furniture.

It did not take as long to charge as I thought either. The charging port is near the top of the handheld handle on the side. The charge lasts 30 minutes which has been more than enough to do my 2 bedroom unit.

On the whole I am very pleased with it. Excellent value.

Aldi Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner – My Samsung bagless vacuum failed (only a power cable) but instead of repairing I bought the Aldi machine. With 3 years warranty and Aldi's easy return policy it is a no risk proposition. My Samsung was the best machine I've ever owned but at somewhere near $500 compared to $99.99 for the Aldi I think it was worth a try. The machine is… Read more

straightforward with on off switch on the body, skinny and not so long retractable power cord and easy and typical fittings with an assortment of 4 nozzles, telescopic pole and clip out dust collector. No special power heads or anything, then again not much to have to fuss with as far as attachments go. Those powerheads wind in hair and fabrics and their operation gets knotted up.

It's a very strong sucker and will lift your rugs and grip to your wooden floor. It will remove your dust too.

There is a suction regulator on the handle of the hose attachment to reduce this force but it isn't quite enough to work perfectly. It probably works much better on a thick carpet than my rugs on wooden floors which it wants to drag along. It did a great job on the car upholstery and attached floor carpet. It is more powerful than the Samsung.

There is a washable filter inside the dust collector. The collector is unclip and dump but unlike my well designed Samsung the dirt gets trapped around the filter inside the collector and you have to fuss around a bit to clear it. The Samsung has a filter separated from the dust collecting capsule so the dirt just tips out effortlessly.

I might make some modification to reduce the power, maybe drill a small hole in the attachment head and see if that makes it better so it doesn't drag my rugs around.

My conclusion not bad at all and much better than any other cheap vacuum I've bought in the past. Not many products offer a 3 year warranty either. 4 stars cause it's value for money but in typical Aldi style you might find one in the store this week and you won't see the product again until 6 months later.
