Good cheap steam cleaner I've n]been waiting to get – I got a Lumina at a second hand shop and is working great. I didn't want to waste money on a new one if they turned out to be useless. One fill up lasts for ages and I have used it in tricky to clean corners and around car engine bay and under my motorhome to clean off a couple of decades of grease build up. It's not magic but it helps a lot. If it fails, well it only cost 8 bucks. Show details
Did you read the instructions? – Mine is ok bought it second hand at an op shop. One of the first things I had to do was descale the steamer with vinegar. If you look inside with a torch (make sure unplugged first) you’ll see a ton of white mineral buildup. This can cause issues with pressure and if pressure has no where to go then it’ll leak. Also I notes here from other reviews… Read more
that it seems many people have not read the instructions at all. The instructions clearly state that the light will come on and once the steamer is heated to desired temperature it will turn off (it will not turn green or any other colour) also there is a lock and unlock button on the handle if it’s locked then no you can’t remove the lid for safety reasons if it’s unlocked and you have removed the wall socket plug then yes you can remove the lid, again this is in the instructions. The spinning lid means nothing it just means the device is turned on and you have locked the lock button. My only issue is that after using it for 40 seconds the light comes back on then you need to stop using it and wait for the light to turn back off again so it’s heated again to desired temperature.
Product is usable after lots of tinkering and trying – The screw on cap for water was broken when we took it out of the box. It won't open or close. Opened long enough to get water in, but wouldn't close properly and spewed hit water everywhere. EDITED!!!! The maker never got back to me, but I find figured out that the cap would not ever release if ANY pressure was in the container. On e I figured… Read more
out the extreme safety measures built in, it works fine. I've used it lot. But it would have been nice to have a call back or instructions that explained how it worked.
Brilliant and so versatile! – This hand held steam cleaner is excellent value and has a multitude of uses. So far I have used it with great success for: *mirrors *glass shower screens *bathroom sinks and taps (it even removed ancient yellow marks and paint drips) *kitchen cupboards *cleaning the outside of the fridge *cleaning up spilt coffee grains stuck on a tiled floor… Read more
(unfortunately, one by one).
It has performed brilliantly! It does need refilling often, but I can do a mirror and the sink in the en suite in one go. The only downside is the scrubbing brush did melt a bit, but it still works well. Also, you must let it cool down completely to refill to release the steam and pressure, but that is simply for safety.
I look forward to cleaning my sliding doors with the glass cleaner and the grooves with the straight nozzle. If Aldi release it again I will be buying one for my 77 year old father to clean his bathroom with ease.
Absolute useless steamer – Only lasts about 5 minutes could only clean couple of tiles in shower then had to wait at least another 5 minutes to refill at this rate you would take hours to clean a shower - it went back Show details
