Very good value – I am a masters competition rower and find it excelent to work out on during off periods. Set at top 8 on mine it best mimics the standard resistance of 100 for a Concept 2 workout for over 50s. Putting in a 20min workout at 27spm several times per week keeps my fitness up. The rail is long enough to accommodate all sizes and feet allow you to come up on your toes. Show details

Rope snapped after less than 40 uses – This machine and my experience using it was going smoothly until tonight the rope snapped and made we fall backwards and hit my head on the wall behind me. This happened after only 6400 strokes in total. I have not even used this 40 times for 15 mins a time and now it’s useless! Literally worst $200 I’ve ever spent on a new product. Thankfully it has a 2 year warranty so I might be lucky enough to get something sorted out from Aldi- we will see.

You get what you're paying for it – It's $200, basically the cheapest in the range of rowing machines. The ones you see in gyms go are over $1,000. It's good enough for a decent workout and you'll definitely lose weight or increase fitness levels using this. But it won't translate into actual rowing. Show details

Great machine fantastic price – Great machine, however when my son uses it the seat gets stuck on the rail, with further investigation Im finding the rubber roller on the bottom of the seat (theres four of them ) that runs back and forth along the channel gets lop sided and jambs the free movement of the seat running back and forth, any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated, other than that great machine so far Show details
