ALDI Solar

If I could give less than one star I would. Do not purchase from Aldi Solar. They have not completed the work and it has now been 4 months since the installation date. They did not install my awning as promised, the solar system does not include my Hot Water when advised it "should", and they have yet to lodge the EWR form so I can receive my tariff for power fed back into the grid. After trying to get this rectified, they have now stopped replying to my emails. This has now been escalated to Office of Fair Trading Queensland, QBCC and the Clean Energy Council. Really poor form and I am regretting my decision more and more every day. Please do yourself a favour and avoid!

Hi I installed a solar battery, hibrid inverter and solar panel new from Aldi Solar last March. Since then I have powered my entire house, air pump hotwater, inverter cooking stove and airconditioner for heating and cooling. I live in Frankston, not ideal for solar panels. The system has worked well so far, minor issue with the subcontract installer, Tempo sorted that out and now is all good. Battery is only 5kwh but big enough for my single person household. so far I have generated 6mwh, by the time I get to 1 year it will be close to 7mwh. even with a small fit tarrif it still works for me. I regret not waiting a bit longer as now Tempo supply a 10kwh battery and that is a better deal. With gov power rebates etc I have paid zero in power bills and I now have no gas connected, this saves me $300 per year just on gas service charges. The ROI I estimated was going to be 5 years, the price of electricity will go up every year now, the ROI will be shorter, every kwh I use from the solar panels and solar battery saves me .25c, the fit tarrif is almost zero so don't install a system just to export power to the grid. I found Tempo very easy to deal with and any queries were answerd in a timely maner. Compaied with some of the quotes the price from Tempo was very good. I'm not sure how good the warranty is as I have no issue with any of the components so far. The system was installed and passed of by the electrity inspector with no issues, he did check everything. Since there are very few reviews available on the actual product and service, I’d like to share my experience as it unfolds. The online ordering process was simple and straightforward. I did encounter an issue with uploading photos, but it was quickly resolved after ALDI Solar reached out via email. Now, I’m anxiously awaiting the installation and looking forward to seeing how everything goes from here.
