payback in 3 yrs which is impressive. It is also on East and West roof so sub-optimal but performs strongly so panels are good. I would definitely recommend Aldi Solar to anyone looking for a good system with very stong payback economics, we've been very happy with ours.

The main challenge has been dealing with the installation contractor. While communication between Aldi Solar and me has generally been good, the communication between Aldi and the contractor can sometimes be slow or unresponsive. That said, I suspect this could be a common issue regardless of which installer you choose.

Overall, I’m happy with the system and the customer service, and I think it offers good value for money.

supply, which is not able to be reduced. The app is easy to use and keeps me informed as to how my system is going, including battery status. I cannot recommend Aldi Solar highly enough. It has been well worth the cost, which was modest, particularly after rebates. My last cost for electricity was 10c.

and the system.  Ordering online was easy, and my emails were answered quickly and sensibly. There were some unexpected hiccups, however.  There was a long delay after we paid a deposit to Aldi Solar in setting an installation date.  The first install date was then cancelled with less than a week's notice, without setting a new date, nor any indication as to when the install may occur. I complained about this furiously,  and a new installation date was set about 6 weeks thereafter.  The installation went smoothly. The Aldi Solar app is simple, easy to use, but lacks many useful features to enable greater choice of when to feed from the battery into the grid to take advantage of high feed in tariffs. We are saving a lot because we use solar power to charge our EV and run our pool filter. But we could be saving much more if we had greater control, through the solar app, when to discharge from the battery into the grid to maximise feed into greed credits, and avoid being charged for feed into grid during peak times. Given the excellent price, relatively few hassles, and massive savings with our EV and pool, we are very happy.

I’ve had my system (panels, inverter, battery) installed about a year ago. The crew that came to install it were great, focused and got the job done efficiently. They even came back to inspect it a week later and check in on it The system has done a great job and we are now seeing only 20% grid utilisation saving us heaps Only thing is I would have loved more programmability of the inverter to set custom policies Very happy with it

make sure all was right - it was approved by the elec. authority the next week and we were up and running. The system has been operational for just on a year with no issues and it has reduced our electricity bills by 50%.

Aldi solar were good to deal with, everything was sorted remotely via email with a few calls. The system was installed by professional installers who did a good job. The equipment while the brand isn't mainstream looks of good quality. The app is reasonable but could improved. All in all, very happy for the price and service.

So far so good no problems, system is working fine and the battery shows plenty of excess power left every morning. I have a 2-person household and we don't use much, but we can use as much as we won't now and never worry about switching on the air conditioner anymore. Show details

contact. I eventually got a response from the installer that it had been submitted and to await for AGL, my actual provider, to connect the system to their meter/plan. That also took some time, but the wait was worth it. I have been enjoying minimal electricity bills since April this year. I am looking forward to my summer bills also being minimal especially with the AC running a lot of the time. I would have given 5 stars if the installers had been timelier with their paperwork submission.

To those giving poor reviews, chase your installers to ensure they have submitted your paperwork to your states provider. Be persistent. You will get there!

Do Not Risk it, Charged close to $10,000 and system has never worked. They use Tempo which is a reseller and they have minimal support. The solar panels and Battery went in ok but our bills have gone up. Apparently the system is using the grid only and not our solar or battery. Nearly been a year and it’s never worked. If I could give less than one star I would. Do not purchase from Aldi Solar. They have not completed the work and it has now been 4 months since the installation date. This has now been escalated to Office of Fair Trading Queensland, QBCC and the Clean Energy Council. Really poor form and I am regretting my decision more and more every day. installer, Tempo sorted that out and now is all good. Battery is only 5kwh but big enough for my single person household. so far I have generated 6mwh, by the time I get to 1 year it will be close to 7mwh. even with a small fit tarrif it still works for me. I regret not waiting a bit longer as now Tempo supply a 10kwh battery and that is a better deal. With gov power rebates etc I have paid zero in power bills and I now have no gas connected, this saves me $300 per year just on gas service charges. The ROI I estimated was going to be 5 years, the price of electricity will go up every year now, the ROI will be shorter, every kwh I use from the solar panels and solar battery saves me .25c, the fit tarrif is almost zero so don't install a system just to export power to the grid. I found Tempo very easy to deal with and any queries were answerd in a timely maner. Compaied with some of the quotes the price from Tempo was very good. I'm not sure how good the warranty is as I have no issue with any of the components so far. The system was installed and passed of by the electrity inspector with no issues, he did check everything. Since there are very few reviews available on the actual product and service, I’d like to share my experience as it unfolds. The online ordering process was simple and straightforward. I did encounter an issue with uploading photos, but it was quickly resolved after ALDI Solar reached out via email. Now, I’m anxiously awaiting the installation and looking forward to seeing how everything goes from here.
