Very disappointed with the installation of our solar battery and the after sales service from Solar Secure. We were promised and quoted (in writing) that the battery would be installed on a concrete pad. pile of blue metal. The base is uneven and after only 2 weeks has moved and is now crooked. Plus it looks terrible. I told the installer on the day this was not acceptable and extremely unprofessional and he said he will come back and fix it. I then contacted George from Solar Secure who agreed (in writing) that this was unacceptable and said they would organise for the installer to return to fix the issue. I followed up a week later when I had heard nothing, only to be told by George, they have now decided that the installation is fine and they won't be rectifying the issue. To say we are disappointed is a gross understatement. Be very careful dealing with this company. Our initial experience during the sales process was fine, but the after sales service and installation leaves alot to be desired.

I do NOT recommend Solar Secure.

remaining money on the 12th of January installation day. No show by 0930 contacted several times and left messages finally heard back that held up at first job but would be here today. I called again later after 1pm and told installer had not gotten back to office for update. I called again at 4pm advised they were still waiting for installer to contact office. When I called and complained about timelines I was told they did not say installation would be December firstly (I have the txt messages) The I was told sorry I had to go home OS that was the reason things were taking longer(he was not the installer) finally I asked do you only have one installer (the answer was yes).I then told them I was cancelling order and required a refund. Many txt messages asking for another chance etc. Finally told they had processed the refund their end. Then nearly a week later I was contacted by the office to ask if I really wanted to cancel my order, I advised them I was told the previous Wednesday that the refund was processed their end to which she said "oh I don't know But give me your A/c details and I will ensure its process" Communication awful get it all in txt and save so you have a time line. Would not recommend at all. Maybe its only the Qld branch that has problems.

was impressive. He did a very clean and tidy job with the hardware. He also made sure I was comfortable with the technology before leaving by walking me through the App and showing me exactly how to track my energy usage. If you’re looking for a professional team that actually cares about the details, I highly recommend Solar Secure.

Worst company. I signed the contract last November for a December installation. Since then, they kept asking for additional fees, pushed the date back to January or February, and then hiked the price again in March. After breaking our agreement three times and raising the price, they finally told me they can’t even install the solar panels—only the battery. Show details

initially decided to go with Solar Secure, as they seem to have good reviews and comparable price for their solar panels and battery. However, following my very disappointing experience dealing with Mike from Solar Secure, I wonder if these reviews are even real. He boasted how good they are and how good their reviews are from the get go. I should have known that’s a red flag!

Mike makes empty promises and leave me hanging with no further communication. Once I have signed the contract and paid the deposit, I have been ghosted. He doesn’t update me the process, nor provide me with their contractors license number and public liability insurance, which I urgently require due to strata minor renovation application and he said he could provide me with it. Anyone who lives in a strata complex knows that this application takes time to be approved. I have been chasing Mike up for their contractors license number and public liability insurance since last Friday 13/03/2026. Up to today, nothing. You would think they deal with strata complex all the time to have it at hand to provide to their customers. He hasn’t answer my calls either and no updates. It’s a very frustrating process with these people.

He also lacks attention to details and is careless. I have corrected his mistakes 4 times in each quote that he had sent me. He tends to leave out the items I have requested or have my information written incorrectly, despite telling him all the information clearly via phone call. Then tried to make me feel bad for asking him to amend the quotes before I sign it. Honestly, he sounds like a sales person working in their call centre in India. I suggest people to check their quotes thoroughly.

I have also emailed his ‘manager’ Ruby to help me with providing their contractor’s details, who is also unresponsive. If the pre-sales is this bad, I wonder what post-sales and post installation support would be like, especially if your system becomes faulty. Solar Secure should also review their staff performance and services who are tarnishing their company’s brand and reputation.

Today, I received an email from Mike informing me that they can’t proceed with my solar installation after mucking me around for 1 week. This was also after I told him that I want to cancel the installation and contract. So I am currently waiting for a refund from them. It’s their loss for losing $10k business from me. I would not recommend Solar Secure to anyone looking for a solar installer. It’s an honest review and lesson learnt for me.

I was told that they will install the Solar panels on 20th Feb 2026 and panels and batteries were delivered to my house on 19th Feb 2026. Its 9th March 2026 today and still no sign of getting those panels installed. There is no communication whatsoever from Solar secure to advise me about the delays. Nobody cares to contact me or update me. Feeling so frustrated and helpless now. I am not sure if I can cancel my contract and return those panels. Right now those panels are just a burden on me as they are just occupying space in my garage. If you are thinking of going with them, pls read my review first. Maybe just find a better alternative in the market.

My experience with Solar Secure, particularly their Salesperson -Jovial was very good. He responded to enquiries (phone, email & messages) quickly with what I needed to know. It was a pleasure dealing with Patrick for my battery. I had other quotes from other companies and Patrick offered me a 40kw storage battery for a little more than other company was offering me for a 10kw system. He was very polite and helpful and followed up once battery got installed. Highly recommend him to anyone wishing to purchase a solar system. Show details
