While it made me a little hesitant to make the initial decision, they kept us informed on all the main milestones, and communication has been solid ever since the battery installation. Now that I can see it wasn't a consistent issue, I'm much more comfortable. Their great service on the ground more than made up for the initial quiet patch-I have no regrets choosing Resinc and would definitely recommend them!

Take your time and get three companies around to talk you through their products and installation. Do not rely on zoom for a polished spiel backed by a professional presentation. Certainly the Resinc staff who contacted us (my wife) throughout the installation were polite, friendly, helpful and apologetic. We wanted our colorbond roof painted before installation so our delay last year was at our request. Subsequent delays were contractor driven. Some of these were understandable with high winds and extreme temperatures causing safety concerns for the workers. In essence though the contractors did not finish till 3 February 2026 in a saga that commenced on 26 November. Communication with the contractor was problematical throughout as to when workers would turn up, what needed to be done or why delays were happening. The contractor pointed the finger at Resinc for ordering the wrong parts/equipment. Who knows what happened other than I am unhappy. As an aside the initial progress of solar panels on my roof inspired my neighbour to install them on his. Not quite as many as me and not the same batteries but his was up and running in two days. Be careful and good luck.

cost. At the time I trusted that the higher price reflected added value, but in hindsight this is impossible to justify.

RESINC also uses subcontractors (Zeneco Energy in my case), so the quality of the work really depends on who they send out. The installation itself ended up acceptable, but it didn’t feel like I was dealing with a cohesive in-house team. It felt more like a sales company sitting in the middle and marking everything up.

On the battery side, the experience was slightly better. Their battery pricing initially showed the same pattern – a premium price on their preferred brand, which I consider only average quality. However, after firm and repeated pushback from me, they did sharpen the price and that helped make up, at least in part, for what I consider overcharging on the original solar install. Ironically, their pricing on non-preferred battery options was reasonably competitive once challenged.

Where things really broke down again was when I asked about adding a few extra panels at the same time as the battery installation. I had assumed this would be more cost-effective as the subcontractors would already be on site. Instead, I was quoted an even higher effective price for those additional panels, to the point it became completely unaffordable. RESINC saw no issue in valuing a simple five extra panels at a third of the cost of the entire system (16 panels, inverter, and ALL the rest of the initial setup). I ultimately had to abandon the idea and look at other suppliers later, who still came in at around half of what RESINC wanted to charge – even though those other companies would have to make a separate trip.

I also wasn’t comfortable with how RESINC handled quoting and invoicing. They added extra items to the quote as a “buffer” for potential requirements, with the assurance that any unused items would be removed from the final invoice. When it came time to pay, those reductions did not happen automatically; I had to insist on having unused items removed. There was also a situation where the subcontractor informed me that RESINC had instructed them not to complete part of the quoted work, but only after I had specifically asked about it. Although this portion of the installation appears to have been carried out in the end, RESINC showed they were willing to charge for components not delivered.

In the end, I am reasonably happy with the overall system, especially after negotiating the battery price. However, the combination of exorbitant initial solar pricing, reliance on subcontractors, aggressive quoting practices, and the effort required to correct the invoice means I cannot comfortably recommend RESINC. Zeneco’s work on site was adequate but unremarkable; the main problem lies with RESINC’s premium cost while delivering no additional value for it.

Edit: Turns out Zeneco are just as guilty of cutting corners during installation, requiring the wiring to be re-done in order for the whole set up to be brought up to safe standards.

So RESINC is not only expensive, but potentially unsafe without corrective measures.

felt like they were simply trying to sell us a rebate or push us into making a decision. They took the time to do their due diligence, explain everything properly and make sure the system was the right fit for us.

The installation process was excellent. The team took their time, made sure everything was completed properly and explained how the system worked before they left. Having blackout protection was also important to us, and the system has given us that extra peace of mind.

We love using the app and regularly monitor how the system is performing. For the most part, the system looks after itself and has been very easy to live with.

What has impressed us most has been the after-sales support. The follow-ups and check-ins have been above and beyond, and the team has continued to help us understand our system and get the most out of it.

Overall, we’ve had a fantastic experience with Resinc and would happily recommend them to friends and family. If we had to make the decision again, we would absolutely choose Resinc.

like for like basis than all the installer quotes we received, the difference between the lowest and highest other quotes was $10k and $15k. We went with RESINC due to the track record of quality installations. Overall we are happy with RESINC but we did have some issues with day 1 of the install, which after some pressure, RESINC resolved and the end installation was great. We had an electrician come to our home to complete work separate to the solar system and the electrician commented on what a great install it was and one of the best he has seen.

A frustration with the process is that post installation we needed to get a smart meter, the RESINC installer told us a smart meter will fit in our current meter box. However, when the contractor came to install it, he showed us there was never going to be enough room. We had to get the meter box rejigged, which cost extra money and time, ultimately resulting in not getting the true benefit of the solar and battery until 10 weeks after the install. It would have been helpful to have known all this in advance of the install, we could have arranged the meter box upgrade and smart meter install prior to the solar install. I don't see this as a unique situation to RESINC but probably more of an industry wide issue.

A separate issue (again not directly RESINC fault), was no final meter was completed when the smart meter was installed and AGL sent us an estimated final bill, which was no different to our previous bills. We challenged this and AGL had the returned meters read which said the estimate was accurate (to the cent) which is impossible as we had solar and battery for 2 of the 3 months of the bill, again we challenged this and AGL told us we should not have switched the solar on until the smart meter was installed and that we broke the law. This encounter resulted in us being approx. $250 out of pocket paying for electricity we never used. This is something solar installers should / would know in advance, with the 6 week lead time we had on the install, we could have had a final meter read, install the new smart meter and be charged correctly post solar and battery install.

The aftercare from RESINC has been great and overall we are happy we chose RESINC and do recommend them if you want a premium installation and great aftercare service.
