ALDI Stick Mixer

I bought a mixer ( Ambino 4 -4-Blade Stick Mixer)and after 8 months, it stopped working. I called the warranty service. They didn't give me a correct answer based on the specifications on the label. It seems that this company is not loyal to its brand, or maybe it has sold enough of this machine and made a profit. In any case, I don't recommend this.

for the whisk. Robust construction – the stainless steel body with soft touch handle feels solid and made to last. Attaching - easy to attach and firm attachment of parts. Quick release buttons - are easy to use to detach parts. Variable speed controller – 12 speed turbo provides a big variety of speed for the different functions and needs for preparing ingredients. Power – its 800 watts is plenty of power for all the jobs it has been used for. Fast – very efficient in chopping, etc. Comfortable – to hold the unit. Cleaning - easy, just wash with warm water and detergent. Manual – simple, easy to follow. My wife – loves using it especially after the frustrations of the previous one.

CONS: Wife was worried at first on reading the instructions that stress not using the device longer than one minute at the time. She thought it would be insufficient time. But on using it she’s found that things are chopped and blended in much shorter times. So it’s not really a con.

USES by my wife : Chopped vegetables such as carrots, onions, garlic, nuts (walnuts, almonds), pumpkin seeds. Stick Mixer for pumpkin soup, mushroom soup Whisk: cream, ice cream making, Potato masher - hasn't used it.

RECOMMENDATION: We consider it excellent value for money and far better than buying a cheap stick mixer.

Can’t live without it – This hand blender is all I need in the kitchen for a making a fabulous dishes, all pastry, and even pavlova. Total crap! – On Christmas went to whip cream & stick mixer worked for all of 2 mins & then stopped. Re-Checked it had been assembled properly, power points working etc. Never started again. Read little note: “The stick mixer should not be used for more than 1 minute intervals. Ensure to allow a 2 minute rest interval for every 1 minute cycle” - if I had know that, I never would have purchased.

Do not buy this product – Used max of 10 times times in the period June 2019-November 2020 to chop onion, fresh and dried herbs, when it suddenly dies. new parts returned for any kind of reuse-recycling, so it will have to go in landfill. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Thumbs down – Bought it from local Aldi as there were heaps in stock, should have read the review first, no wonder there were 20 of them. the annoying thing is, it left a stain and it wouldn’t go. Now the dish is soaking for few hours in vinegar bath. Second use, used to blend up quick smoothie (banana and avo), as I mentioned it took its time but left lumps of the fruits.

Worked Fine for 18 months – This stick mixer is a little more robust than Aldi's cheaper version which I had also bought. Unfortunately the cheaper version just stopped after a couple months of light use, then I upgraded to the the more expensive model priced at $60 & thought this will last longer....it did, but it just died mid bananna blend. it, I just wish Aldi would stop getting this type of product built in China. Clearly, they are creating inferior products.....why cant they be built in Germany? I would definitely have more confidence in the product!

It was good ... until it wasn't – I had been regularly making fruit smoothies for about a year. Used the bowl attachment to make pesto one time and the motor just went pffft and that was that! Stopped working after 1 yearish – Bought this stick blender from Aldi in 2018. I don't use it much, mainly to blend butter into flour for scones. checked the plug, the power point and the fuse box. Nothing. Maybe it was only supposed to last one year and a bit. But now I have all the plastic junk that came in the box that I will need to chuck out so I can buy and store a better stick blender :( Unfortunately I have not kept the receipt. Very disappointed. I do not recommend this product.

absolute rubbish – bought this in July 2019 with 12 months warranty. Didn't use it until my old one finally packed up in december. I'd have been lucky to use it more than 6 times, and today it went dead in the middle of chopping 90 grams of vegetables in the chopper to add to the dogs mince. Money down the drain. Show details

Very poor quality, broke on first use beating egg white. Hopeless – Very poor quality, the whisk beater broke on the first use. The motor housing looks good and feels good, but the attachment are poor quality. Not worth the time or money. Show details

Terrible quality, immediate refund – Broke within months of purchase ($60). Whizzing up a smoothie, pop and burning electrical smell. Took the unit back to an Aldi store and they refunded the purchase price on the spot. Show details

Absolute Rubbish – I bought this item on the 13th October 2019. I used it 4 times. On the fourth time it buzzed once and released smoke and never worked again. It is not fit for purpose. I returned it for a full refund on the 6th November 2019. Show details

I rung up Aldi customer service ( AMBIANO) and they promised me a return satchel in the mail. weeks and months went past up and nothing. CUSTOMER SERVICE ! forget it!

Broken after only 1use – Used it once only 2nd time it wouldn't work. Crap product, don't buy as your wasting your money. Whoever made this product should give us our money back. Shame Shame

Poor quality – Again It stopped working for the second time after picking up a new one, the same way i couldn't enjoy my juice. i reckon it’s a failed product. Something goes wrong with the stick

It did not last 12 months – It was only $20, so I was not expecting it to be powerful and it did a reasonable job until it stopped working but it should last a lot longer than 12 months. It was only used approximately 50 times to make banana milk shakes, which is not a difficult task.

blew fuse – Unit has very little use, using it to blend a shake today with no solid food. Flash from where electrical lead goes into handle and set off the electric safe switch in the meter box.  Show details

Was good until – had no problems with it and cherished the fact that the stick was detachable - until.... I read someone's review who mentioned the food gets trapped inside the stick. I checked, gave it a shake and sure enough - it had something sloshing around inside...eeew. That one is for the bin now.

Good for the price! – This was a good buy for me. Use it for making hamburger mix and recipes when I'm just cooking for myself. Have had for about 3 years. Still working, no smoke issues. Only thing is the whisker attachment broke after about a year and a half. Not brilliant but does the job if it's just a small job.

Excellent for simple things – I use this for making my baby's food and also for chopping veggies and making smoothies. I can't fault this product yet and it's easy to clean. It also stores relatively compactly. Product is really good value for money. Not tried any recipes yet but satisfied so far. Well done Aldi.

Useless, don't waste your time – Bought as part of the Aldi specials buy on Wednesday 9th September. Followed the hummus recipe in the supplied instruction book. Motor started to smoke and get hot, was unable to blend soft chick peas. Returned the same day for a full refund.

This is a dangerous device – This mixer caught on fire during the night and nearly burnt down our house. Show details
