For the price, I think it is a great tent. Haven't tested it in heavy rain or wind as yet, but life in most cheap tents isn't much fun in such conditions. Probably more ideal for fair weather conditions I suspect. It's light to carry and easy to erect and pack once you get the hang of it. Show details

This tent was amazing I ride a motorcycle and I used this tent for about 5 years as I traveled around Australia but just recently it gave up its journey in strong winds and I would love to buy another one. Please let me know if I can get one in Australia thank you. Show details ·  1

Very poor stability in a breeze – We bought this pop-up beach shelter from our local ALDI and it worked great on a day with no wind but try it on a windy day, then it collapses in a heap! The frame just comes undone and is quite pathetic. The fabric and storage bag is fine. The pegs seemed ok initially but soon showed they are hopeless by not staying in the tie down holes. I think it only cost $29.99 so will get a better one. Buy it cheap but it twice!

Fantastic, easy up and down – Bought after having surgery as a lightweight option. So easy to put up and down - not sure why other reviewers had problems - I had none. Camped in the Snowy mountains several times - tent was exposed to storms and really strong wind. Tent flexed beautifully and was totally waterproof. Show details

DISAPPIONTED – We purchased this tent some time ago and didn't take it out of the box until after the year warranty had run out. What a mistake, when we finally opened the tent and set it up it had holes all through the tent, the cover and the bag. I contacted Aldi and let them know of the faults, to which I received the reply we can't do anything about it. No… Read more

wonder it is discontinued... If you buy a tent from Aldi my advice is check immediately to see if there are any issues.

Great 6 man tent – Aldi 6 man tent. Easy to set up no issues, no leaks, not sure how functional the front shade section is. Pretty sure this is a knock off oztrail fast frame tent but at a third the price Would recommend Show details

Easy to pitch, and did not leak in very heavy rain – We used this tent in heavy rain on several times before we travelled from Healesville to Broken Hill and back over 3 weeks. During this particular trip the tent went through some hundreds of mls of rain and really strong winds. On the last night of the of the trip in extremely heavy rain and very strong wind it finally started to leak a bit but we were still warm and dry. It has been a good value for money. Show details

Terrible waste of money – My family tried to set the tent on a windy day. The tent was missing steel rods to hold up the tent. You would think after purchasing the item that you’ll never have a problem with this things. The qualifier tent and colour was terrible. It’s not even the same as the picture. Never again would I be scammed this way!!!! Show details

Not worth it – Tent Body 4/5 Tent Fly 0/5 Easy up 5/5 Used once in WA and probably never again because it wasn't suitable with the weather. We used it at end of September, so spring here. The weather conditions: no rain but damp misty air at night, with temperatures getting down to 4 degrees and up to 18 degrees during the day. This is how we found each part:… Read more

The tent fly (cover): -is not water proof. Wets your back as you enter the veranda part while unzipping to get into the main body of the tent. It was actually drenched, just from the moisture of the mist. -is not long enough, so lets the damp misty air in up through the sides and through the mesh only covered windows in the body of the tent and this not only caused the top layer of our bedding to be wet but also the pillows, pyjamas left out on the bed, as well as jumpers, other items of clothing all damp and unusable. The mesh windows were also wet. - not long enough and hangs straight onto the body of the tent at the sides near the windows so by 8am with the sun out the tent temperature is already becoming uncomfortable inside the tent and by 9am the windows need to be opened to let the freezing cold air in to counteract the sun heating the tent up. The sun wasn't even strong enough to dry out the fly at this time of the morning. There's nothing to hold the fly out and away from the body. By 9am we were sweating inside the tent while trying to get ready a we needed the windows zipped up for privacy. The Tent Body -good quality, -I didn't enjoy the psycholdelic subtle swirly pattern in the fabric because when looking at it, particularly looking out through the mesh windows up at the sky while lying in bed it's not easy on your eyes. -The stitches in the fabric at the top pulled with just mild breeze making them wider looking towards hole like -a few little holes in the fabric here n there. Easy up Function -Brilliant, so easy to get up and pull down. -Also very easy to clip fly onto the body.

So easy, so good, from novice to experienced. Love it in all weather – It takes about 10 minutes to set up, so easy and the same to put it down. Even fits back in the bag. Stood strong and dry in wild windy drenching weather when other tents around us failed. Size is good, can stand in it. Show details

It’s a shame it’s been discontinued – I won’t admit to being an experienced camper because each time I’ve gone camping I’ve learned something new. This tent has been amazing for me. For $60 from Aldi, I think it’s been one of my best camping investments. I have taken it on several camping trips now and not once have I had an issue with it. Admittedly, the flat top of the tent posed… Read more

a challenges when it rained the other day as a pool of water formed on top of the tent. And also I wouldn’t qualify it as a 4 persons tent because anything more than 3 it would feel cluster phobic, but maybe that’s just me.

But other than that, it’s an easy set up. I love the colours and the material looks great, water proof and all. When I use this tent the impression I get is, it was well thought out, except for the top part. The design for the airflow, the little ties that hold the “window”flaps, or those that hold the “door”. I feel for $60 I truely got more than my monies worth.

I actually came on this page looking to see if Adventureridge had other tents because of how impressed I was with this one. So its a shame to see that they have discontinued the “4 person tent”.

Anyway, I intend to keep using this tent for a very long time. It’s simply good.

6 man Instant Up - Sept 2021 - strong frame, weak clips, fabric could be better – Great size, easy to set up. Very strong - camping on the beach - strong wind and rain - perfectly held up due to full fly and sturdy construction. You need to be particular with set up and ensure it is square and properly tensioned. The guy ropes are a must. Only 2 faults: 1) the Fly CLIPS into the frame with plastic buckle clips - ours was… Read more

broken & will be returned. Had I known the fly clipped in, I would not have bought it. Too expensive & too hard to repair/replace with stronger material. We MacGyver'ed it on set up. still held strong due to the overall great construction 2) the fabric is under too much tension along the welted seams - for the sturdy construction, the fabric needs to be stronger - it would rip under normal camping conditions.

Easy to setup, pack-up and kept us dry in rainy weather – I needed a cheap tent for a short camping trip, and this tent was perfect. It’s similar to the Coleman silver series instant up, but has a better water rating and lower price point. It was easy to setup and take down. Our 6-person version accommodated two (2) adults and two (2) teenagers, with ample room for storage. It was comfortable and kept us dry through a storm and sporadic rain (5-10mm / day). Show details

The roof is flat – The roof has a flat spot. Not a peak so the water pools on the roof. There should be an outer fly. That goes over the frame I used it once wouldn't use it again Show details

Camping nightmare – Tents is kinda not all that bad BUT the legs don't stay locked in place and bend the tent pegs bend easy if you hit hard spots in the ground and the guide rope things just make it a bigger pain hammering 4 more pegs into the ground AND BY FAR the MOST ANNOYING thing ever on this tent is the STUPID yellow rubbish around the door to protect the zip… Read more

or something gets caught up in the zip either way you zip and EXTREMELY annoying if you wake up need to go to the toilet at night and you try undoing it. I ended up having to cut the rubbish off to free my kids out of it since it got totally jammed up sooo bad in the zip!!!

Very low quality - do not buy – This tent tore on the first night of use (thankfully just testing in the back yard, not on an actual camping trip). The materials and seams are incredibly low quality. Aldi provided a refund per their normal conditions, however it is a shame that they are straining the environment and adding to the landfill by producing and selling such low… Read more

quality camping gear. We tried a second item of Aldi camping gear (a gazebo inner tent), and the exact same thing happened.

We do not recommend their tents at all.

Very easy to assemble – I bought this 4 person pop up tent, literary took less than 5 minutes to put up. Took a little longer to take it down and put in the bag it came with. Has 2 doors for easy access. Not sure if its waterproof but its going to be good in summer for my daughters first camping trip to the local caravan park and test it out. It's well worth $60 for a 4 person tent. Show details
