Rethinking all my policies after being discriminated against! – I have an extensive history with mental health (anxiety, PTSD, OCD and panic disorder) which I am not afraid to talk about at all! I currently have multiple policies with Allianz and am seriously reconsidering. After commencing work full time and look after my families financial future, I proceeded to amend my life insurance to include permanently unable to work.

I spent well over an hour on the phone awnsering all the questions and was denied based on my mental health history. I have been on medication to manage this for decades, see a psychologist regularly so I would consider myself relatively low risk as it is well managed.

I did some reading after this and Beyond Blue's Mental Health and Life Insurance Fact Sheet states "it is also unlawful under the Disability Discrimination Act for insurers to deny applications for insurance without having reasonable and relevant information and data to support their decision. Today, insurers have access to extensive medical information and very few applicants are turned down. product, its benefits and any limitations."

The decision that was made was based on vague questions that did not at all accurately represent my current mental health situation. I am deeply disappointed that a company we have been with for years has discriminated against me for my mental health.

Extremely bad!! – They were told by a court of law to pay out my workers compensation claim and arrogantly refused to do so!! The worst insurance company that I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with!!

Such A TERRIBLE health insurance! – Need to wait for a long time to claim every time. It took me lots of time to claim and always wait around one month to claim. Hard to cancel the policy, rang them a couple of times to cancel, and have to email them twice, because they rejected to cancel it. Won't use their product any more.

no one here for you – tried to call them, no one pick up the phone, I was literally waited for more than 30 mins still no one there for you, feel helpless.....won't use their product anymore

Immoral and Unethical – Watch the ABC’s Four Corners episode re their Workers’ Compensation scam - or read it in the Sydney Morning Herald. They are a greedy, selfish, heartless company, with unscrupulous, immoral, unethical and downright criminal staff. Typical insurance company really, but Allianz is one of the worst!
