Best ever – OMG the steak on New Years Eve was the best I’ve ever had. The staff were super friendly. We couldn’t believe how friendly everyone was. We will be back. The best food and service.

Keep clear of the crack heads – Absolutely great people majority of staff the food atmosphere but once karoke starts the under influence of drug use people come in and are very abusive to you and will interfere and block doorways to toilets thinking they're funny but are just a disgrace. It's a family oriented business and u allow that in? The only disappointing thing about this place. And what makes matters worse is wen u see bar staff leave with them in their car. As they hurl abusive insults. Very childish... all on camera bud.

Poor experience – We recently had our gender reveal at Angle Vale Tavern and had delt with [Name Removed] (manager) on multiple occasions. [Name Removed] was lovely and extremely helpful/accommodating at all times. My disappointment doesn't lie with food - I thought it was quite reasonable and people seemed to enjoy it. However on the day, we arrived with only 20 minutes until the beginning of our event (we had organised a backdrop to be delivered which was already done) and our closest friends had brought a gender reveal balloon to “pop”. [Name Removed] (manager) had said prior to the day (we had visited the venue multiple times and submitted our paperwork/signed agreement for the event with all the details on it) that this was fine, as long as no glitter or really fine confetti, and as long as we cleaned this up completely after the event (to which we were 100% on board with). On the day however, our friends walked in with the balloon and the staff were quite abrupt/rude and informed her that we will not be popping this today and that we would only be allowed to do this in the carpark or across the road in the paddock which was close to a bin. Our friend mentioned that this was not what we were told all along, and that she’d even place $300 behind the bar as a deposit if it meant we could proceed with the gender reveal (and on the unlikely chance we didn’t clean it up - as security for the pub) despite already paying $200 to hire the area and $100 bond. The staff were very stern and continued to say no, we are not to do this. After I arrived, I had multiple conversations with the front counter who were not understanding at all and refused while being quite rude about it. I went to the counter 3-4 times (I was so stressed and upset – we had everything organised and guests arriving literally in 10 minutes.. I could have cried) until asking that they call [Name Removed] specifically as we have been nothing but open/honest about our intentions and with 10 minutes until our 50+ guests arrive – what were we meant to do? A gender reveal where we can’t reveal the gender? I was sooo disappointed. Eventually, they agreed but this was so stressful and upsetting as it wasn’t until the last minute they agreed to accommodate. This was not our fault. We did not lie or hide behind anything – we were completely honest and ensured what we used would be easily managable (to which it was). If we had of known the reception we were going to receive from the staff – we would have never have booked here. It was appalling. Not to mention, we had booked for 50+ guests on a Sunday – now I am almost positive you would not have filled this area with almost 60 guests, ordering lots of food, beverages – you could only imagine the turnover from our event.. We were doing them a favour in hindsight.. There was no compassion or empathy with something that was not our fault and could visually see how important this was to us. We were still made to pay $200 for the event hire (and at no surprise received our bond back as we were respectful of the venue). I know better now, but a memory that’s supposed to be so memorable with family and loved ones – was just nothing but stressful and almost didn’t happen. Very disappointed and would suggest looking elsewhere for any personal events that mean a lot to you to avoid disappointment like this was :-(
