Don't trust these shysters - they charge for meals not delivered

I put my mum on automatic regular deliveries with YouFoodz, but months later we discovered that they were charging for meals that were not delivered because they were out of stock!

I thought it was a problem with just the latest order. When I called, the lady assured me the problem was a one-off and was not systematic. She provided a refund for the missed meals on that order.

But I subsequently went back through Mum's credit card statements and the YouFoodz order history, and discovered the problem went back months!

We were fleeced. Needless to say I instantly cancelled the regular order and now I'm looking for another supplier. Don't get fleeced by this unethical company.

Yummy and fresh!

These meals have good quality ingredients and are fresh! perfect for someone like me who is too lazy to cook but doesn't want a freezer meal.
They are always coming out with new veggie and fish meals too which are exciting to try.

Food is ok but environmentally unfriendly

My main issue with Youfoodz is that their delivery persons here in NSW refuse to take the boxes or ice packs back for reuse or to be recycled. With the meals all coming in plastic containers it means a lot of plastic that would probably end up in land fill as most Asian countries are no longer taking our recyclable rubbish. A call to the company got me nowhere even though the girl taking the call agreed though said she was unable to remedy the situation. Perhaps my review might help with their apathy.

Under the current system, we are encouraging customers to recycle the cooler boxes and the ice packs by placing these in the recycling bin simply because our old polystyrene boxes were no longer a viable alternative for us. While they were reusable they, unfortunately, weren't recyclable! The best and easiest way to dispose of the bubble wrap lining is to take it to a plastic processing bin, which can be found behind the checkouts at most Coles/Woollies. In saying that, we definitely do take your feedback on board and will do our best to see if we can tweak this system moving forward :) -Youfoodz Customer Care

Great meals, very expensive delivery to Perth!

These meals are really tasty. I would give a 5 star review and sign up in a heartbeat if they didn't charge such an exorbitant delivery fee to WA! This has meant that we only buy them ad hoc in shops, rather than sign up for a plan. They really need to figure out a better logistical strategy, as $20 extra is too much!

Really bad delivery system

Their logistics team needs to really get it together. My order always comes through out of the ETA window that they send through the day before, so organising my day based on that is always a waste. Oh and sometimes it doesn't show up at all. Very poor service.

MORE GRAVY AND SAUCE ON DINNER MEALS!

We are enjoying your dinner meals, they are perfect size for us, but have found the meals require more gravy or sauce! Had the Creamy Chicken Carbonara tonight, and there was not enough sauce, making it quite dry and not enjoyable. I made comment in a questionnaire you sent to me, about all meals needing more gravy/sauce to really enjoy your dinner meals. Can this comment/issue be addressed in future meals, as I am loathe to order more meals, especially the lasagna (which I ordered again to see if there was more liquid sauce) but it was the same as the first meal! Very disappointed. I would appreciate a response regarding the lack of adequate gravy and sauce in the meals. Thank you.

Terrible food.... Not worth the cost. Lite and Easy is much better

Bought a week worth meal.. Portions were very small and the taste was terrible there is no flavor to the food as described in their website. Highly disappointed. Waste of money spent for week worth of food... never buying again.

Poor portion sizes

I am fully educated on macros and calories and the portions do not match the stated amounts. I found protein sources poor quality and very small amounts in comparison to other meal prep companies.i enjoyed the taste of about half of my order.
However it's a good service and there were no issues with the next day delivery

Delicious food and no lock in contract

I've ordered Youfoodz on and off for 2 years. I love the taste, portion sizes, convenience and price. There had been 1 or 2 instances when there were issues with the order but upon advising them of the issue they provided a refund for the missing items. I like receiving a photo upon delivery so I know exactly where they have placed my order and I like that I am not locked into any contracts when purchasing. Youfoodz also allowed me to have food delivered her to my mother who lives interstate which was an added benefit. The one thing I do wish they would bring back would be the 2 pack protein ball packages.

Tasty meals and good sizes!

I find the variety of meals is good and like how they occasionally change the menu to keep it interesting. Food is always tasty and the portion sizes are really good for me. Quite a few meals are freezer friendly too which makes it more convenient.

Perfect everytime

I have been ordering for about 5 weeks, lunches and dinners only. They are the perfect size, fresh as a daisy, and I am never hungry, love the loaded chicken and unbeetable chicken for lunch, I have even had them warm on a cold day. Plse dont take the off the menu.

Small - for dinner time

Small microwave meals for dinner - I thought that was just the lunches and snacks. Otherwise I would have opted to spend my $120 on hellofresh or something. I’m only a 50kg 5ft 5 female and I thought the potions were small, never mind my 6ft 105kg husband. We had to do another food shop on top of this. Great but pricey lunch meals .. not for dinner.. also arrived on the day but at 6pm. Bit late

Great company and lovely food

I am disabled and was looking for a yummy easy and convenient way to control my portions and enjoy food again. I began by getting the meals from Iga, with a support worker before I found out that they deliver to my area for free, just put my first order in and was happy to find it sitting outside my door when I awoke nice and cool. The only issue I had is they changed one of the meals I had for one I didn't like (supply and demand issue) however they refunded me straight away when I called to say I don't like the one they swapped it with. The meals are very yummy and I adore the sauces they arey favourite bits, quite often with weight loss foods they don't do sauces but these guys do they are fantastic!!! Highly recommend to everyone.

Tasty, but small

We buy them for our lunches. They are really convenient and a lot more nutritious than I would make for myself and they are also tasty. On the downside, they are quite small, so if you’re like my husband, and not trying to lose weight than they may not be filling.

So much better then Frozen

Been getting youfoodz since they first became available in qld and I’m a massive fan. Works well for me as I have a husband that works away and stops me from having food waste. It only takes a few minutes to reheat and you have a nutrious meal. The food is so much tastier then the frozen meals!!! I highly recommend them and I must say the customer service I have received has been amazing it’s not very often you see this level of personalised customer service now days.

Love the convenience, but quality has gone down hill

I used to Love Youfoodz and the convenience of not having to worry about lunch for the week as it was already prepared for me. But unsure if the company has changed hands, ever since mid this year when they released new recipes of food which did not need to be changed! Everything has gone down hill. They have changed the cannaloni, the quality of chicken in the schnitzel and fried chicken are also terrible almost like the off cuts of the meat that no one wants to eat. They also changed the recipe of the blondies and brownies making them not very enjoyable to eat as they’re now dry and flavourless. They also never send out any free items anymore either? I’m sure others have noticed that too. It was nice when I first started ordering, I would receive a free snack or cooler bag etc as a surprise. Company has really gone down hill and I’m overall disappointed in quality of food. Also sick of them getting rid of meals or changing the recipe of meals.

Good option for less

Having done Lite n easy for a few weeks i switched to youfoodz and found the food to be better quality and cheaper! The Mac Daddy is my favorite and i have been steadily loosing weight.

Gave me food poisoning..

I have been taking youfoodz on and off for a while this year, price is expensive for what you get. I still almost find myself snacking as I am never full enough from this product, I ordered the lamb and 3 veg a while ago there was no lamb just fatty brisket! I am normally pretty happy with youfoodz but I ate what little lamb I could about 5 hours later I had severe gastro and abdominal pain, I contacted youfoodz and got no reply, I tried their online chat but waiting in line for over 3 hours seemed pointless, I will not be ordering from youfoodz again from lack of customer care, other than that some of the meals were okay but one bad meal has turned me off!

Along with that, we do prepare a large volume of meals at the one time and at this stage, this is an isolated case, though you have certainly done the right thing to bring this to our attention. When opening the esky, were the icepacks still firm and did the meals still feel cool? Were all of the meals sealed tightly and was there any leakage that you could see at the bottom of your esky? I understand you may not have noticed these specifics with your delivery, however, if we're able to gain any clarity on what could have happened here that may assist with our internal investigation. I really do not understand why a food delivery
company would leave food outside a block of
units ! This practice is bizarre, who wants to
eat food handled in this manner, quite discusting .

High delivery cost to WA.

I am enjoying the Youfoodz meals, a great variety, and the portion sizes are great. However, I have gone to several shops and i have not been able to find many of the meals i like, so ordering online is the best option for me. This is an expensive option though, $20 for delivery to WA customers is excessive. Please Youfoodz, bring down the high cost of delivery for those of us in WA.

Alternatively, you are welcome to heat the pizza in the oven if you choose. Can you freeze these meals for use as required?

Some of them you can but most of them have sauce sachet's inside the meal and it would not be ideal to freeze these.Hi Sheila! You certainly can freeze our meals as this will prolong the expiry dates for 3 months. You'll just need to ensure that you place the meals into the fridge about a day before you are looking to eat them to give the meals time to defrost.
