clear. Would have preferred a touch screen. I paid $100 less than the RRP. I don’t think it’s worth the full price. Other than that it automatically detects night vision so you can see clearly. The screen is good quality. The volume and sound is good. It switches off if no sound is detected. You can take the screen with you and the battery lasts a few days. I took it outside and it was still working. The range is really good.
Absolutely useless – The picture on this monitor is absolutely terrible. It's hard to make out that it's a baby on the screen sometimes. feature, I have woken my son up on multiple occasions because I have accidentally touched the 'talk' button. Don't waste your money. The image included is from one of the monitors 'better days'.

only need the monitor, everything else is working. My friend didn't give me the receipt so I couldn't register for warranty. I won't buy again as for the same price I could try another brand that wouldn't stop working for no reason.
Good product – Happy with the product, but it took some getting use to with the monitor screen. found if there is a fan on in the room the sensor mats take that as movement and won’t alarm. I realised when I took my son out of the cot and the mats didn’t alarm. Once you get to know the product it’s pretty good.

During the last half of the 3rd month, we had to get our daughter to get use to sleeping in her own room without our presence. This is where AngelCares baby monitoring comes in.
We purchased the model with the screen monitor, pressure plate and camera. We could’ve went upmarket and got the touch screen version instead but that’s pretty much the only difference and it was no point spending another $100 or thereabouts on top of this model.
Set up is quite easy. Everything is connected via your usual power point except the pressure plate. The pressure plate uses 1x C2450 battery.
The pressure plate is placed dead centre underneath of the bassinet mattress or your cot mattress. This plate detects any non existing movements of your newborn, most of the time if they stopped breathing. It’s very sensitive. In the worst case scenario, if this does happen, the camera and monitor will start beeping very loudly. This usually happens if it doesn’t detect movement for 20 seconds.
Sometimes (well, for us most of the time) forget to pause the detection mode when we take our newborn out for a bit of feeding time and therefore the alarm starts. You can quickly remedy this by pressing a button on the top of the camera. This can also be done via the baby monitor. It’s been 4 months since we owned this device and there are still moments when we forget to “pause” the sensor and get startled by the alarm.
The monitor be a little bit of getting use to. Most of the buttons says what it does. You got your up and down arrows which control the volume, zoom, settings, microphone and back button. The zoom setting is pretty useless. You may as well move the camera a bit closer.
The stand that comes with the camera is pretty much useless if you need want angle it. For example, our nightstand was close to the bassinet. I needed to stack 4 reasonable sized boxes just to get the angle in the right position. It’s best to nail the camera to the wall for this kind of situation.
Other features include temperature warnings. It’s suggested that a newborns room should not exceed 23 degrees Celsius or below 16. You may set the temperatures to your desired Celsius and a couple of beeps will perform if these temperatures pass your set numbers. The temperature alarm could get annoying especially when the temperature won’t drop and it will be go off every 5 minutes or so until you turn the feature off or press the “setting” button to turn it off temporarily.
I really like AngelCares baby monitoring system. The battery lasts for almost the whole day without electricity. Usually my wife disconnects the power source at 8am till when I come home from work which is usually around 6pm with the battery indicator still at approximately 1/4 left.
It’s something that you shouldn’t think twice about purchasing. It will save a lot of stress. Although the alarm system can do a little work, otherwise it’s a flawless system.
Best on the market – Very clear and very reliable. Wireless sense pad so no wires exposed or can be seen. Great range and battery life. can control sense pads from camera and handset awesome feature. Having had both oricom and Angelcare I have not had an issues with my ac327 you get what you pay for quality!!! Wish I bought ac327 from the start and saved the headache. No other brand comes close.
