Not worth it – Pretty much always pixelated, image is not very clear. Audio is pretty delayed. Can’t see anything when outside, tried turning brightness up and down but no luck. Mounting is a pain. Show details

Sound does not work in two separate rooms – I purchased the Ac527 additional camera & sensor which has been set up in two separate rooms. The sound gets stuck on in one room and have found that one child is crying loudly but the sound is not coming through the parents monitor as the sound is stuck on in the other room. I contacted Angelcare and their customer service team advised “ Our… Read more

range of Angelcare monitors are able to have multiple cameras added to the nursery unit, however yes, the screen will split into 2 enabling you to view both nurseries, however sound will only be heard from the 1 nursery unit.“

I think that is really poor, I wish I had known this prior the product is advertised as a dual unit video and sound monitor. Whats the point of a parental unit if you can not hear if a baby/child is crying!

A very expensive product which is pointless if a new born baby is screaming but yet can not be heard.

Also the video quality and sound is poor even if being used as a single room monitor. I wish I had gone with oricom as their movement sensor is backed by medical boards.

Useless for 2 rooms – I purchased this monitor to use with my newborn and toddler So I could monitor both rooms. Set it up and you can only choose to have sound coming from ONE room. What is the point of having a monitor for 2 that can only monitor 1? Show details

Perfect – I bought this monitor because the oricom one I had was terrible and would always lose reception. This is amazing, it has never dropped out and there hasn't been any false alarms. My son is 8 months so it is very important to us that we have the best monitor to be able to see and monitor him. Show details ·  1

So so disappointing! – We had an ac517-2 & it became faulty in the first year. We replaced it with the ac527 and although we werent entirely happy with the ac517 we are even more disappointed by the ac527. We thought it was an upgrade but find the Image quality is so poor In night mode (so blurry). The monitor is fixed safely to the ceiling (all wires are securely… Read more

tacked & out of reach) & still doesnt capture all of the cot so if my daughter moves there are blind spots in the cot. There arent as many functions on this model either (time setting is one example). Will be returning this unit for a refund & looking for a different brand.

I really can’t live without it – When I discovered that I was expecting twins I thought would be great to have a monitor so I could at least have a nap ( with twins you don’t sleep properly) but I got quite surprise when I started using the angel care monitor. The image was so clear, I could see if they were breathing and the volume was perfect, that now I can sleep very well,… Read more

knowing that if anything happen the monitor will show me. Majority of the time that the baby moves they don’t wake up, and because I can see even if their eyes are open in the dark, I can monitor the behave from my room, and even when they wake a little I can sing through the microfone without going to their room, it is amazing! From everything I got for my nursery the angel care monitor was definitely a must have!! Love it and I don’t know when I’ll stop using, because it is good for day and night. Thank you for crating something that give us peace of mind

Would reconsider – I had to place the camera so high & far from babies cot I still cannot get a full view and its well & truely 2.5 meters away. The temperature light on the camera Is so bright I had to cover it with black tape because it was shining right on her face. The monitor has very poor picture quality especially in night mode. The sound is terrible &… Read more

murmured. You cannot digitally pan & tilt like I was told. I will be taking it back for a refund. I expected SO much more from a product that costs $500, seems to be seriously lacking in the tech dept.

Best purchase for our baby – We owned an Angelcare monitor with our first baby and were really happy with it so decided to buy the 527 (as it also has video) for bub no.2. We love it! Video quality is amazing (especially at night time). The breathing pad lets us know that she's okay which is great for our peace of mind. It cost us a little more than we were wanting to spend but it is well worth it. Show details ·  1

Disappointing – Purchased this unit as a replacement for the AC1100 as we are expecting another child and wanted a second camera. I was very happy with the Angelcare 1100 but needed the second camera and the battery wasn’t keeping a good charge as can be expected with the age of the unit. The AC527 only has 1 breathing mat as opposed to 2 in older units and other… Read more

brands and is a terrible idea. The unit went off numerous times during the night with the sensitivity at maximum. Child is a very active sleeper and at either end of cot it could not sense breathing. The field of view in this newer version is also poor and with the camera as far away as possible in the room we could only just get two thirds the of the cot in view but not entirely. Also the mounting mechanism of a magnetic dome is an awful idea on a device that needs to be manually switched off or paused each night. It resulted in moving the camera direction and view on parent unit every time. Thankfully I didn’t wait too long and got an exchange from within the 14 days since purchase. Much happier with another other brand and store were able to see my frustrations with this unit and offer exchange.
