Absolute failure – I bought eve aqua on amazon it worked when I tried it at home then went out tried it remotely it didn’t work I then went out and bought an apple home pod it worked for a while went on holidays to Queensland and it worked for 2 weeks then it just stopped responding so I sent it back to Amazon and got a refund so I thought I’ll buy it from apple directly it should work received it the next day tried it not responding when away from home so I gave up took it back to apple got a refund Don’t bother with this gadget it’s a failure

Purchased in at Apple Australia for $250.

This worked great until it didn’t and flooded my balcony – Worked great for about 6 months then malfunctioned one morning and stayed on, I awoke to the balcony flooded as the timer didn’t switch off. Water timers need to be reliable and unfortunately this one is not. Ended up in the trash as I couldn’t take the risk

Simple to use, now appears to work in Home app – I have had one of these for just over 18 months and found it to be a great product for those who are interested in home automation (and gardening). I have it connected to a 6 outlet Gardena water distributor and have set up custom programs for each of the distributor outlets. Support for this water distributor was one of the key reasons for selecting this model.

It does appear in the Apple Home app from where you can see the status, set default run time, link with automations and check battery life. For all other settings ie schedules, you will need to use the Eve app.

The Eve App does support more features such as scheduling and providing trends ie estimated water consumption, though remembering how to get to some of these settings can be tricky (from the main screen by holding down on the Eve Aqua then selecting Show in <room name>).

Battery life is good (~12 months).

I am pretty sure the device uses Bluetooth instead of Wifi so while you can access it remotely, if the Apple device you are using as a home hub is too far away then the Home App may report that the device is not responding.

Purchased in at Apple Online Store.

You can’t operate this device with Apple HomeKit! Apple allude you can, but you can only operate it with Eve App – The product itself is good, the issue is it’s marketed by Eve and Apple in particular that it’s HomeKit compatible. That’s a real stretch of the imagination. You CANNOT operate this device with the HomeKit App! You can only operate it either manually or vi the Eve App DOH! Integration forget it. Certainly misrepresenting it’s comparability at best. I would not have bought this product for my HomeKit apartment if o had known this fact.
