Love it – 12mp camera awesome, live shots. Touch ID security. Clear screen. So easy to use. Great access to apps. Never leave home without it! No longer own a laptop can do everything on iPad Pro. Not to badly priced considering market alternatives. Battery lasts and great size screen options. As with all Apple items though screen cracks easily Show details
Great iPad – This iPad is great. I got one each for my kids who are 6 and 4 years old and they love them. They're quite durable but I still put heavy duty cases on them just in case. The battery lasts so long which is fantastic for when we are out all day and they charge back quite quick too. Lots of storage as my kids take lots of photos and download lots of apps. I can't believe these are discontinued now as they're just perfect. I highly recommend them. Show details
Ios11 is what you need – I made a shocking discovery last week when I brought a iPad 4 after wanting 1 for years! Apple have taken away a lot off the good apps because they have limited updates to get people like me to buy new iPads! It was expensive but now I can utilise all it’s amazing apps! Worth the investment still. Now I need to sell the I pad 4. Show details

Hoped for more but screen is an issue – As a matter of habit, I refreshed my iPad once it hit the 1y mark. What I wanted from the new "Pro" 9.7in model were two things - quality stereo sound, and better screen. I was not interested in the Pen or force-touch / keyboard etc. It is an iPad - I've got computers already. While I can say Apple has delivered something in the audio… Read more
department, the screen was the reason I sold the iPad.
Here's why.
My eyes hurt big time after using the iPad. The condition developed slowly and at first I would not even realize what is going on. With multiple devices being used during the day it is hard to call out which one is the bad sheep.
But I have figured out once I stoped using iPad, wound not even look at it.
This "true color P3" screen was Kryptonite to my eyes - 5 minutes of usage would turn to the next day "outage" - bad eyehurt, migraines that were hard to kill with painkillers.
Audio is better but "not there" compared to hp touchpad (with beats speakers) that was released in 2011 (?)
How come Apple cannot copy Beats' innovation that was 4 year old then? Sounds better, but not there. Thank you for stereo, Apple. Unfortunately there was no fault found by neither JB HiFi nor Apple so I just sold it.
It is good, just causes me strong urge not to look at it.
I am not sure if the new iPad Pro 10.5 is better but I won't be betting $1100 on this.
If you're not sensitive to this then just clock 29 years of computer screen use like me and you may become.
No as expect – I brought this for my mom, she previously use Ipad air, which was brought about 3 or 4 years ago. The battery was not working as good as begin thus I brought a new one for her. She thought the cellular model could use as a phone, but it was not like that. When you put in a sim card, it just use DATA from the sim card, you cannot receive call or message via the sim card. which is not as expected. Show details
Performs great, limited by the OS – Bought it for use on the train to do some study, some apps such as Evernote work great, however it is seriously let down when they are essentially just blown up iPhone apps. I decided to sell it in the end as I just didn't feel I was getting full use out of it. I would suggest having a play around with one after iOS 11 is released which is supposed to feature huge iPad improvements, but as it is now, I just couldn't suffice recommending it. Show details

Very good product in its class of tablets – Went ahead with a choice of having a Apple tablet with a pencil and it is amazing. I have been using it from last few months and the experience has been great. There have been no firmware issues as such and the OTA is great. The screen is ultra clear and represents true colors. Budgeting is a breeze – I initially purchased the Apple iPad to do some budgeting after work. I have my spreadsheet on it and put in my daily expenses. I've been able to do this for about 4 years & have been able to manage my expenses with ease. While everyone is watching TV I sit with them & set up plans for the next month (nerd you say). I've been able to use Email &… Read more

It is the bees knees – The iPad really opens a new world for me. I have been able to write essays on it, do research, all my digital housekeeping, communicate between countries, start programming, shared photos, do all my banking and many more things. I really can't recommend it enough. I am unsure how I functioned without it. Show details

Very handy device – I use this iPad on a daily basis, it is a very handy machine since it is so light, portable and easy to use. I also have an Apple iPhone so they work perfect together allowing me to share photos between the two. The iPad is also very useful for checking emails, browsing the web and playing games. It is very quick and responsive. Highly recommend this model. Show details

Brilliant! – My old model iPad was getting a bit long in the tooth, so I gifted it to a grandchild. The new 9.7" iPad Pro fits the bill perfectly, great speed, great battery life, does everything an iPad should and does it very quickly and well. It's built in GPS is a lot more sensitive than the older model so it's great for mapping whilst driving. (I use… Read more
MetroView, fabulous app for navigation which uses no data, needs no phone signal, or sometimes Waze or Apple Maps, both of which use data, either via sim card or a phone hot spot.
It's basically all I use now, very rarely get out the laptop as the iPad does nearly everything I need. It has an excellent camera built in WITH a flash, really not a lot more to say except that I'd hate to be without it.

I love this thing, never leaves my side :D – I’ve had an ipad for around 5 years now, and 2 years ago had upgraded to the iPad Pro. I LOVE this thing! It’s small enough to fit in my bag and to comfortably hold up, also small enough to sit in front of me while I eat sushi and not bother other people. It’s big enough to be able to comfortably read and write and watch movies. It’s super fast, has plenty of memory, music sounds great, the clarity is great! LOVE IT Show details
Better than a laptop – I bought this to use for work but I’ve ended up using it for everything. I download books, movies, tv shows and love that I can watch my favourite shows in bed with headphones on while hubby is sleeping. I’ve installed the free version of Word and Excel so I can use it for work too. So much more compact to carry around plus the camera is great too! Everything I need in one device. Show details
Great speed & graphics, not a single problem with it – Bought the iPad Pro 9.7 inch, 128 GB wifi plus cellular model from Harvey Norman. Can't rate this device highly enough. It's smooth & sleek & delivers everything that was promised. Great graphics & responsive, quick operating system. Recommend buying a wireless keyboard though if intending to use for documents etc, just easier to have it. Show details
Excellent - Love it – I have never owned an ipad before but am now hooked. I was very reluctant to purchase an apple product but after having an iphone I decided to purchase an ipad. I find that I don't use my laptop hardly at all. I purchased a keyboard and use my ipad daily... Love it! Show details
Best iPad ever! – iPad Pro is the best tablet ever. Amazing screen resolution. I got a pencil for mine also and I love it! Perfect for my business to sign and send documents via email. I chose the 9.7 for portability. So much better than the old iPad. The speakers have great sound. Show details

iPad Pro is a high-performance tablet. remote access to my home automation. So it is a product that continues to serve me well.
6 months ago I bought a second hand 128GB iPad Pro 9.7 inch with the "Cellular" option from eBay. (Before I had my issue with eBay, for those who've read my other reviews). I upgraded my iPad mostly to fly my drone on it. For those who are already Apple iPad/iPhone users, you'll find that the performance and features have been improved, but for the most part, it's the same system you're familiar with. Those of you who've never used an iPad, will find it's much simpler to operate, but the way you use it is limited for one reason or another.
Do I like my iPad? Yes, yes I do! I browse, email, remotely administer systems, organize meetings, listen to music, upload my photos, control my home, read electronic versions of my books and textbooks AND fly my drone on it. In short, it suits me, it has never failed me, and the battery lasts for ages (it also takes half a day to recharge too). Apple often sets the standard in mobile devices, and build both the device and write the operating system "in-house", which few other companies do. I have had fewer issues with Apple products than even the Google made/written offerings like the Google Pixel.. but this just my experience, and your mileage may vary.
The iPad Pro, while good, I still find that like most touch screen systems, it's more a device for information CONSUMPTION, rather than information/content CREATION. No serious typist is going to spend their lives on a somewhat cumbersome touchscreen interface.
My solution: To buy a blue tooth keyboard. Specifically, a Brydge 9.7" blue tooth keyboard which I must say makes the typing on my iPad a LOT closer to the laptop experience. But this of course, does NOT address the restrictive file management the operating system places on all IOS devices, and the USB connectivity issues.
To address this to some extent.... There are some great file management apps that work well with iCloud (and other cloud-based services) but will you be copying and pasting, or dragging from here to there?... unfortunately no. The files for each application are still tied to the app that created/downloaded it.
Now if you're wondering, "should I get the iPad Pro?" then it's a little harder, but I'll tell you what separates the Pro models from the other varieties.
1. Cost. The iPad Pro series is the most expensive. (I got mine second hand for this reason).
2. Performance. If you need to store 128GB of data (or more), and run the apps as fast as you can, then this is the choice for you.
3. The Apple "Pencil" (which is rechargeable, and expensive). If you're the creative type, and you like a fine-tipped stylus, then you might want to use the Apple Pencil. From what I've read, the pencil only works with the iPad Pro models. However, I can say from experience that it's much better than previous iPad stylus pens/pencils with the imprecise rubbery tip. However, it is still short of the Wacom stylus options which only work on Wacom devices. Personally, I like the pencil, it's great for annotations, notes, and even drawing, but I still prefer the tactile sensation of a real pen/pencil and paper.
On a completely separate issue, managing your tablet expectations:
Regardless of whether you've been using iPads for years and are considering an upgrade, or considering buying your first tablet ever, the question I get most is... "Can I replace my old laptop with a new iPad?" Well... that depends on how you intend to use it. I'd say in a select range of circumstances, (light use, and the occasional email, you have wi-fi at home, or you don't want to get a landline internet connection, so you opt for the mobile (or "cellular" broadband option) then sure, it'd probably work for you. If you're creating data, typing lots, and somewhat more of a "file-handler" and don't have a constantly accessible network/internet connection then I'd say you'd be better off with a laptop/notebook/ultrabook (all variations on a theme really) for comfort and versatility.
That being said, the line between the old tablet, and the computer is becoming ever-more blurred. There are tablets that run full computer operating systems, offer similar USB sockets, and even large screens, and at the other end of the scale, there are computers with less performance than a tablet. To make matters more confusing, there are laptops that also double as a tablet... so there's a lot of grey area.
Unfortunately, the iPad (at the time of writing, in 2017) isn't a full replacement for a computer for most people. You should also seriously consider whether the tablet-style interface is ideal for your purposes. Given the variety of sizes and shapes, keyboard size, and screen size, I'd never buy a laptop or tablet without finding how comfortable they are to use (read, type, and carry around) first. Despite the limitations, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the sheer range of apps on Apple iPad, iPhone, and iPod devices is growing every day, and getting more varied as it goes. There are apps for everything from bird-watching apps, to apps that teach foreign languages, apps for health and fitness, and far, far beyond that simply don't exist for computers! So an iPad does give you access to additional software that may not be available on any computer yet. So if you need a certain app... then you will need a tablet (Drone pilots, this probably means you).
The greatest criticism of iPads in general is that without cabled network interfaces, and USB ports, iPad users are ultimately highly reliant on Wi-Fi (Wireless networking), mobile phone-based Internet access, and cloud-based servers. Of course this lack of allegedly old-tech means the devices are ultimately far lighter, smaller, easier to carry, and work in an ever-increasing area of both mobile and wi-fi coverage. So while I think these criticisms are accurate, they're merely indicating where computer technology is heading.
Side note for those who haven't misspent their youth dealing with technology:
For those who don't know what the cloud is, the cloud is a symbol used to depict the Internet at large, but in this case, services like iCloud are merely places you can store your data somewhere on the Internet, and access it from any connected device, anywhere (with the right login details). Naturally there are some security concerns with storing your data in places you cannot locate, run by people you don't know, but if you are just sharing recipes, and random funny pictures, then you may not care about that.
I hope this helps!

GREAT Product – Been using this iPad Pro now for a few months and I am not sure how I lived without if before. Bacause I am always on the run and mobile running my media company, I always needs something thats bigger than my iPhone 6 Plus and something powerful to start to edit my videos. Show details
Great! – Purchased for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. We brought the cellular one so we can use on long car rides to keep her entertained. Battery lasts a while especially if just watching videos on YouTube and not having an apps open. Looking at getting one for myself. Show details
So handy! – Love my new iPad Pro! Coming from an iPad 4 (2013) it's a big difference. The four speakers have made watching video and playing games so much nicer. The reduced weight makes extended use far less strenuous than my previous iPad. The extra speed makes everything nice and snappy. The cameras are way better! Overall it's a great device that I use daily. Show details
GREAT plan with OPTUS – Ipad is always good and easy to use. With incredible design and outstanding performance, no matter doing any graphic design or any entertainment such as gaming and movie is so amazing graphic. Ipad pro gives me better responding while running multiple tasks. Do not feel any stress or tired after long time looking at the retina screen. As a result of protecting the eyes for any ages. Great tablet – Tablet and laptop in one! Compact with good apps and so handy. Plus long battery life. Retina display ans great sounds!!! Thought it takes almost 4 hours to be 100% charge, it's still worth it. If you pair with apple keyboard and pen, you'll get the best out of ipad pro! Show details
The Apple Tree – I purchased the iPad Pro, and it's good, but not excellent, l was disappointed that it was no faster than the iPad Air 2. The extra two speakers don't make a major difference in sound quality. For the extra price and what I use it for, I think that I would have been better off with the iPad Air 2 I would recommend, out of both these great products, the iPad Air 2 for the price difference. Very useful as a reader – Pros: Very good content viewer (magazines, photos), quick, essentially a big iPhone, good screen, pen is useful Cons: iOS limitations, no thumbdrive input, apps do not run like actual desktop applications The iPad was never about content creation, but with the introduction of the Apple pencil, things are gradually changing. not use the iPad as my main content producer / word processor / media creation due to the limitations of iOS.
The Apple pencil is useful for quick sketch, one of the best in the market now. Most natural feeling among other tablets, but will never replace the traditional pen and paper.
The Ipad pro is quick and good to read the thousands of free magazines, and browse heavy graphic based apps like pinterest.
great ipad – I bought this ipad 32 g last month, signed up with optus for a 12 months data plan, it's quite nice, great for the kid learning at school, slim and nice shape, good storage and capacity, the performance is same as my laptop, more easier to carry around when going out. Show details
Light and functional – I was very happy with my previous IPad 4 with retina display, but after four years I really thought I should upgrade - and I am so glad I did. The Apple iPad Pro is so light: the case I bought weighs far more than the iPad itself. Its speed is good, and I have had no problems with its speed or functions. models, as I have already half-filled it, while the 9.7 inch screen is a quite sufficient size. The clarity of the graphics is just amazing compared to my previous model. Quite honestly, I'm even sold on its appearance. It comes in four colours, and I chose the rose gold with a white front - very snazzy.
Our IT specialist recommended I purchase the iPad Pencil, but I can't say I have used it, so don't let anyone talk you into that unless you see a clear need for it.

The camera works reasonably well. The screen resolution is quality.
The most useful thing I find with Apple products is how well they work together. I can copy something on my iPhone and paste it on my iPad Pro. Comes in handy when you are working with multiple machines!
Apps can even be purchased which can turn your iPad into a drawing tablet to use with your PC or Mac. Essentially turning your iPad into a Wacom! Great for artists, designers and the like!
Best iPad so far – Been battling to either get the bigger one or this 9.7 inch one. Luckily we went with this as the size is much more manageable.
