the 16E. Yeah, it works but it’s annoying to use. Why? Because Apple wants a new phone out every year so s#ckers can upgrade when the previous model works just fine. I just want a phone to be a phone, yeah, accessing media and Google, maybe AI, and other relevant stuff that will enhance our experience and knowledge. Great tool. But iPhone just complicates stuff with their constant money grabbing upgrades making it difficult for users to navigate around the stuff that really matters.

notifications from “messenger” app. Apple just says it’s a third party app, don’t know don’t care. It’s rubbish, don’t buy it.
Follow-up · I’ve now been to the Apple Store 4 times. They basically replaced the guts of the phone. It’s still happening. So we have again gone to settings but it still doesn’t help. I wish I’d bought the iPhone 15. The messenger app is now notifying me.

Smooth transformation of apps when you switch apps like the weather app to Facebook or Tik-Tok app that I use often. Although I only had it for 5 months, it acts like it can last for 10 years or so. connecting audio cable accessory called Ugreen to Sennheiser studio headphones to get that clear deep bass and treble sound without noisy voice or music vibration loud noise sound. Game puzzle apps with game ads that appear so often can have no sound problem glitches and you have to restart the game app by closing it and opening it to make the sound heard from these annoying app game ads. Google mail is the most popular email app used even though there are so many thousands of emails that include junk mail, I do not bother to delete them because the I-phone is capable of updating the email app in seconds. I do not use the camera much compared to social media and game puzzle apps because I am not working when I am sick of cold weather giving me weak legs as I am self-employed.

is great to use for Visual Ai. It's the cheapest iPhone you can buy and the screen size is perfect, visuals are bright and calls are crystal clear, the speakers are very good and the phone has great reception. AND the 16e is quite lite in my pocket, which is another bonus. Overall an excellent experience.
Bought a new iPhone 16e on Friday afternoon, used it for about 1 hour, phone was warm, thought nothing of it. hours, phone was warm, not hot. Used the same international newspaper app for about 1 hour, charged the phone to 100% , disconnected the charger and placed it face up on a hard surface, app was open. Noticed some time later than the screen was still lit, ignored it. 5 hours later screen was black and found the battery was completely flat. Returned the phone to J b hifi same day asked for refund. Was refused told they would send the phone away for evaluation. Looked up other reviews and saw that this overheating is common.
Phone is not fit for purpose, avoid like the plague!

dollars more I could have just bought the Apple iPhone 16 and be done with it.
I wouldn't say I'm regretting my purchase but my feelings for this phone is (meh) I could probably have stayed with current phone a bit longer or bought something else.
Positives of this phone....I am liking the bigger screen which is an bonus for me given my old iPhone se 2020 has a smaller screen.
the 16e is all screen with no bezel at the top or bottom.
It's easy to use just like other apple iPhones and for me who is not a tech wizard the ease of setting up and using was a bonus.
Negatives......When I have my phone connected to my computer with USB cord for hotspotting I'm finding the battery charging up is slower than my previous iphone and I dont understand why its slow to charge, its a brand new phone so I would think it should be better.
Battery life is supposed to be up to 26 hours, pretty poor when I find i'm needing to still charge my phone everyday which means I'm getting just over 12 hours but certainly not 26 as they claim and I am not a heavy user of gaming apps because I have none and I'm not even a heavy user of the phone in general.
The phone only comes with a basic cable and NO wall plug, plus no cable for computer hookup so I had to buy those separately and this isn't a big deal but NO apple stickers in the box either compared to every other apple iPhone I have bought which had at least 2 apple stickers.
NO fingerprint ID you have to either remember a pin number to open phone OR Face ID, I accepted Face ID for one of my apps and it didn't even scan my face and it then said Face ID has been set, I liked the fingerprint as I didn't have to remember a pin.
Overall my new iPhone to set up cost me $1,120 to me that is NOT what I call a BUDGET phone, because I was expecting to pay no more than $800 for a BUDGET phone, was that to much expectation on my part ? because when I bought my Iphone SE 2020 back in June 2020 it cost me no more than $700 and to me at the time that WAS a budget iPhone.
