  Fair Incentive iPhone 17

I would love an iPhone 17. It is my dream come true. I would be the happiest person in the world and I’ve had two houses burned out by my ex partner and I haven’t had too much like in my life. Show details

The issue Personal Hotspot For over 4 months we have been trying to get adequate streaming through Personal Hotspot between Sony TVs and the iPhone 17. Image loss and freeze up make these phones useless as a streaming device. Hours speaking with JB HiFi, the streaming provider 2 Degrees (NZ) and Apple themselves, hours spent searching the… Read more

internet has not resolved the issue.

Apple themselves admitted that there is an issue with these phones.

The iPhone 17 is not fit for purpose.

In comparison an iPhone 16 works perfectly.

Extremely frustrating.

Decided to upgrade from my iphone 14 Pro (traded in via Apple) to the new iphone 17. Received my new device Dec 12th. And this has been the worst Apple experience. Transferring everything over is a breeze. Until you start to check things, such as Apple music library and realise half of your music is either missing or blocked from your region (this… Read more

is your own music purchased via itunes in my region that Apple controls). Most of my music was purchased via itunes. And the rest copied from disc. Have spent the last 5 days on phone call with Apple support (5 different senior advisors) and today, Dec 26th, was told (rather abruptly) that due to licensing changes with third parties such as itunes, spotify, shazam, etc, i have lost old purchased music. That's what the Apple engineering guys have come up with. So my question, that can't be answered by Apple, is this change must have occurred between Dec 12-26th. Therefore please provide me with the public notice or updated agreements for Apple customers visibitly before upgrading to a new 17 series phones. So now i have to re purchase any old music i no longer have access to. Take your money twice and blame third party licensing laws. Amongst all this my album art is a complete mess. And we haven't even got to that with Apple support yet. Worst aApple experience i have ever had. I wish i could just go back my iphone 14 Pro. Never again.

Apple Pay not working on brand‑new iPhone 17 — disappointing start Model: iPhone 17 (256GB) Purchased: November 2025 | Location: Melbourne I upgraded to the iPhone 17 and expected a seamless setup, but Apple Pay hasn’t worked since day one. Wallet keeps returning “Apple Pay not available. Try again later” whenever I try to add my everyday debit… Read more

and credit cards.

Troubleshooting I tried: • Updated to the latest iOS and restarted the phone • Signed out/in of Apple ID and checked region settings (Australia) • Removed/re‑added cards via my bank app • Reset network settings and tried Wi‑Fi/mobile data • Added a different card from a second bank

My banks confirm Apple Pay should work on their side, but setup still fails. Apple Support ran through the basics and suggested waiting 24–48 hours; no change. For a flagship at this price, core features should work out of the box.

What’s not working: • Apple Pay setup fails repeatedly • Too much back‑and‑forth between Apple and the bank • Way more friction than expected for a basic feature

Verdict: Keeping the phone for the hardware, but I can’t recommend it until Apple Pay reliability is fixed. Would recommend: No

Genuinely good value base phone for once. Worth the upgrade, call screening is a winner.
