Apple iPhone 17 Pro (2025)

I found that the iPhone 17 Pro is not as good as my old iPhone 13. It feels very slippery and is much easier to drop. Sometimes it makes me wonder whether Apple prioritizes design over practicality. In my opinion, it wasn't worth the upgrade, and I regret buying it.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I recently received from Apple. As a long-time customer, I expected much higher standard of support, professionalism, and communication. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating from start to finish. I felt that my concerns were not properly listened to, and the assistance provided did not resolve the issue. Communication was unclear, and I was left feeling dismissed rather than valued as a customer. Apple products are known for their quality and premium reputation, which is why this experience was even more disappointing. Good customer service is just as important as the product itself, and in this case, the service fell well bellow expectations. I hope Apple takes customer feedback seriously and improves the way support issues are handled in the future. Steve Doulgeris

When I bought an iPhone 12 pro, I had no issues at all. My iPhone 17 Pro that I bought to travel with with a great camera has cost me literally 30 hours minimum and reporting an escalating problems and visiting the genius bar three or four times. Do not disturb was turning on and it seemed to be an issue when I was at home. It thinks I’m still at home when I’m 300 met away and this is with engineering that they haven’t fixed. The camera was not focusing, but it only needed a swipe to close the app to fix it. There are multiple issues going on with all the releases and updates at 26.4.1. I’ve just hit another one we’re just touching the bottom of my phone dismisses an alarm. They had made it difficult to turn off an alarm at 26.3 requiring a swipe, but now that’s been overridden with a super sensitive swipe to dismiss from any touch of the bottom of the screen, throwing the alarm for my medication‘s away. I have just got too smart for themselves and the AI features and Siri intelligence seems to cause such master index legs that at Times my files “ on my phone ““ is missing and then 10 minutes later it’s back again. I’ve also recently found silent being turned on, and I’ve moved the position of the icon to eliminate some possibilities, but it’s a bit similar to when they were turning on, do not disturb. Apart from the camera and the extra battery life I wish I’d never changed from my iPhone iPhone 12. Someone at Apple said that I’m not using my phone in a simple way so I’m introducing issues. What a joke. Buy an iPhone 16 or 15 and pray that that IOS 26 and it’s multiple updates don’t cause the same problems on those phones. By the way when they wouldn’t replace my phone when I couldn’t receive phone calls, I went and bought another one $2400 just to diagnose the problem myself. They were right it wasn’t the hardware it was the software. I do like the camera, but as I said to the Support team, if I can’t use the phone as a phone, it’s not a very good product. At least that part has been fixed to a degree but I can’t rely on the phone.
Follow-up · It gets worse. It lost 25 minutes over night when on a cruise with the phones time/ date in manual. It seems after consulting Gemini, there is far too much AI activity going on distracting the phone from basics. This is exactly what I found with screen jitters and file indexing being temporarily inaccurate. Camera is still out of focus at times and photo review in the camera still has an occasional bunching of the review photo into one corner showing only part of the photo. AND that problem is now on the iPhone 12 because Apple’s 26.2 to 26.4 is full of bugs. I have turned off all AI to improve performance, especially AI IN photo where it does a lot in the background and obviously over night explaining my clock losing time ( when not near a mobile tower for time sync). I am going to ask for a refund when I get back to Australia.

Overall a welcomed upgrade to my Iphone 12. The major upgrades here is the camera, and speed. I transferred over my files and have noticed the phone is able to better handle all my needs as expected. The camera is great upgrade both front and rear. The battery is now lasting a full day or more again. The Pro is to me the sweet spot for those wishing to have a great multi lens option.
