Apple Watch Series 11

Since everything at my place is Apple I am hesitant to change. I know there are better battery life for smart watches out there. My Series 7 finally gave me hassle, it time for upgrade. JB HiFi was the one that have the stock for M/L Jet Black in 42mm, and plus I am going away next week so with the GST claim I thought it was good value. No issue with set up, all data was restore from Icloud. Take about 10 mins or so to complete the set up. I noticed a significant upgrade from the early series in term of accessing app and added to the face gallery eg I can monitor my solar battery. The display is crisp and clear that one thing I did noticed. My series 7 survive tough and dusty FIFO environment. So many crashes and crashes bang into machineries and still going. I am hoping this series 11 can do the same. My only problem with Apple Watch is battery level, apart from that I like them.

Just bought one for daughter via Apple Store as it was easy to navigate and provide various option compare to Office Work and JB. Delivery was fast and via DHL. The series 11 came in a nice little rectangular box with minimal packaging and fanfare. Size 42mm is actually quite large, bigger than I expected. The watch came pre charge, enough for me to do set up by paring with my phone.

The battery life is the first thing I noticed a good improvement but still not as good as other companies; we did managed to get 30 hrs of use before recharging, and a brief charging would get you at least 4 hrs of use. The connectivity of series 11 is very good compared to the older series watch; perhaps explained the longer battery life.

Apple claimed the scratch resistance is better, it did not come useful for me, as I like added security so a screen protector.

My little one like the new Liquid Glass displayed and the wrist gesture to go back to Home Screen and even dismissed phone calls. We did test translation function out but it was not as good as I thought.

Overall I thought it would be a massive improvement from my old series watch, but I was disappointed. However I bought it for my daughter and been a teenager she loves the series 11
