Wonderful as a watch and calendar, as well as tracker for steps, heart rate & calories burned – My Garmin goes with me everywhere. I download the information each evening via WiFi onto my Tablet App. My health has improved and my weight has dropped considerably. Very happy. Show details

Nearly perfect – This watch is very user friendly, water proof, and has a customisable interface. It's easy to charge and has a long battery life. It displays your resting heart rate, time, KMs walked, calories burned. If you keep the Bluetooth setting on all the time the battery will drain much faster. I love this watch and wear it everyday to track my heart rate using the app but the strap it starting to break now after a year and a half. Show details

Crape watch band – The watch is good but the watch band does not last more than a year. So I have got a replacement of a new watch a year ago. But the second band broken again from the watch. I contacted them but I have been told that I have to pay $96 for the replacement. The watch costed me over $220. it becomes so ridiculous to have a now watch band every year. Show details

Seriously I can't believe the ratings are so high – I got one of these for Xmas and after 2 weeks took it back to store as the band was small and box said large, they couldn't exchange as no stock so I swapped for the Fitbit charge 2, glad I did, One of the main reasons I selected this one was the VO2 Max option and I only got this 2 work once, it never measured stairs at work, it measured average… Read more

of 2000 steps when driving 300km and heart rate was always different to my Blood Pressure Monitor and you can't change bands, my replacement has a identical option to VO2 max that works every time, measure my stairs at work correctly. measures maybe 5 steps when driving the same trip and heart rate is exactly the same as my BPM and I have already purchased 3 different non genuine bands.

Garmin's App and user interface are terrible very hard to navigate and change setting, I originally gave this 2 stars and change to 1 when I remembered the App, I'm glad I got to compare the 2 and for the record I gave my replacement 5 stars

Great value – I have been wearing a Vivofit 2 for the past 2 years on the original battery and as I managed to get a bit of paint on it thought it would be time for a replacement. I noticed the Vivofit 3 was available in my credit card rewards program and the points vs value made it a bit of a steal. It is certainly a lot more comfortable to wear although I… Read more

find the clasp a little more awkward. Love that you don't have to take the device off to charge and the proper button for changing settings makes much easier to use.

On the downside, the numbers are a little small and I now need glasses to read the display while the Vivofit had such large numbers could do without. A larger display would have been better. Re-orientating the how the numbers are displayed is more convenient and like the dual display how you can see the time and steps etc at the same time. Very convenient.

Outstanding value for money and if the Vivofit 3's battery lasts 2 years will be very pleased. Recommended.

Happy with it but worried I'll lose it – I got my Garmin Vivofit 3 through Flybuys and my first one had to be replaced 3 months later as it died. Don't know whether it was just a dead battery or a bigger problem, but since the battery is meant to last at least a year, I sent it back and they replaced it pretty quickly. I particularly like it because I'm allergic to nickel and found most… Read more

watch bands irritated my wrist, even if it was just the buckle touching my skin, and the Vivofit is the only one that doesn't have a metal catch I believe (could be wrong). So, I love the fact that it has a plastic buckle, and that it doesn't have to be recharged, and that it's waterproof, so I can just leave it on and forget all about it, BUT it's fallen off quite a number of times and it's a miracle I haven't lost it already (touch wood). The catch is twisted 90° in a clockwise direction to secure it, but over time, I've found that it often undoes itself, which is how it has fallen off a number of times (and most times I didn't even notice until I went to check the time later). I've had to develop the habit of regularly twisting it to ensure it's done up properly.

As far the the functions go, I honestly haven't looked at my steps more than a few times, though I hear it beep every now and then and it tells me I have reached some goal (no idea what the goal is, but never mind), but I really like the sleep tracker. I've had a few sleep problems but it's hard to track one's own sleep except when you do sleep studies. It's quite reliable and I've rarely had to edit the results and it's great to be able to track my sleep and see if I've had restless periods or slept soundly.

Great buy – Very easy to use, comfy and the app is very handy. The only complaint I have is the settings for taking the stairs, I can be turning my steering wheel and it registers that I have just climbed a flight of stairs. Other than that, great watch, and easy to use  Show details

Recommend this product – I'm very pleased with this Garmin. I like not having to plug it in to charge it and being able to wear it 12/7. It connects nicely with My Fitness Pal. I like it much better than my old Fitbit. It's so comfortable I forget I have it on!Works well.  Show details

No charging and great app – I can wear my Vivofit all the time, even in the shower, because the battery lasts for a year so there's no need to take it off to charge it. This means that I never miss out on a single step. It connects with an app that shows the steps, calculates the number of days you have reached your goals and awards badges and levels to motivate users. The… Read more

app also gives insights into your behaviour. For example, it tells you which days you are least active or tend to get less sleep. This is my second Vivofit. I was impressed that I didn't lose my data in transferring from an older model. Will definitely be staying with this brand.

Do not waste your money – First unit replaced under warranty due to it’s brain frying for no reason. Second unit replaced under warranty due to band breaking for no apparent reason. On my third unit, I asked them for something else, cheaper mind you, but got the same product! You can not read the screen in the day light, and it’s blurry even when you can see it. This… Read more

is a major fail IMO.

The battery lasts about a week and takes about an hour to charge which is good. Be aware charging via anything but say your PC USB port may void your warranty.

I do like the heart rate monitor, but seriously the “warnings” to move get annoying and I turned them off. I found the Bluetooth messages to be painful, and was often just easier to get my phone. It was a good alert that you had a msg if on say silent etc.

I would avoid this unit. I have reverted to my Vivofit 2 which has an easy to read display and battery lasts well over 12 months.

2 band broken!!! – I got this watch because its price is reasonable and it's waterproof! I got it 11/17 and band has snapped and it's not a replaceable band so they replaced it with a new one. My husband has the same one as me and he got it 3/18 and his has snapped from the top as well. What a joke. Never again!!!  Show details

Useless battery life – Received as a Xmas present 2017, and I am happy with its functions. But sorry 3 batteries in 6mths , not happening any more. The original battery lasted 4 mths, so I thought ok , you don't know how long the battery has been in there so I replaced it. This battery lasted 2 weeks, replaced it again, this battery lasted 3 weeks. Only used in normal life, no rough handling or hard situations, so back to my $20 Big W digital watch.  Show details

Super handy for the gym! – I hate wearing my everyday watch to the gym, so I invested in the Garmin Vivofit and I love it! It's waterproof and you can also control your music through it. It counts calories, steps and floors you climb which are all handy to keep track of throughout the day and when working out. It's easy to use and I like the little touch screen. I haven't had any problems so far and it works perfectly, I've had it for well over a year now!  Show details

Great and light – I wear mine everyday, does not catch on things and fall off like the original vivofit. It also has extra features and can help find your phone when you have missplaced it. Picks up alot more steps then the original also. I highly recommend this product. I love the fact it does not need charging compared to others on the market  Show details

Best thing ive bought gor myself in years! – This watch is great, I really looked into all The fitness watchers and this one was the one for me , easy to use and understand, and water proof full water proof not like the others so beware, the price was as good as the others too, I wasn't sure of the band but it's held up great.  Show details

Great product – Pairs up with the Apple phone with out a problem. All the counters seem to be accurate as far as i can tell. It is pretty comfortable to wear. Works better than some of the cheaper no name brands I've had before in terms of heart rate which is questionable with some others.  Show details

Simple to use and so far no hassle! – Was recommended this brand by a work friend - Very comfy to wear and has a stylish look! It goes well with formal and informal outfits. So far I really enjoy using it because its easy to syncs with app and shows me my daily steps and heart rates and stuff like that. Great Job - Garmin with a good price too !  Show details

Had it for 2 years and the battery just ran out! – Pros: Accurate, waterproof, great battery life and great software to go with it. I love how it says the actual time so it can be coupled as a watch, wrist band is very comfortable and light weight. Cons: The display cover is plastic, I knocked my hand somewhere and it cracked! Which is sad as I know now I have to be careful with water. A little bit on the expensive side when it first got released.  Show details

Affordable and simple – Had this for two years and find it easy to use. Also quite narrow so does not feel like I'm wearing another watch. Easily syncs with app. Shows steps, heart rate and cal burned. Simple device and probably good for those interested as their first device. The latch is easy to lock.  Show details

Loving my Garmin – Love, love my Garmin after a terrible experience with another well known brand that broke three times. Band on the Garmin doesn’t seem to irritate my skin as much as another brand. The only thing I would say is that the connection to the charger could be a little better.  Show details

Rubbish – Counts steps while I am sitting perfectly still, doesn’t sync with ANT+ Garmin heart rate monitor, used it for a week and just laughed at how many steps it thought I was doing, when you make changes in the app it doesn’t change on the Vivofit, ie display, overall really poor product. i would not recommend this product to anyone  Show details

A tracker you don't have to charge – Low on style and a little low on substance, but year-long battery life and a highly customizable interface make the Garmin Vivofit 3 a good low-maintenance tracker. Super-long battery life Always-on display Functions as a watch Software not as fun as Fitbit/Jawbone No phone notifications Not as pretty as alternatives  Show details

Great to use without recharging – I've owned this for up to 2 months now and the battery life is great if you're the type that doesn't like recharging their fitness device all the time. You are able to download an app that lets you customise the interface on your device. The only thing I marked it down for was the lack of vibrating wake up calls.  Show details

a value for money device – I bought this for my daughter to encourage her to be more active. She had the same device before this new one also. It became a part of her body. Easy to use and quite a good estimate of the activities she has done over a day. The display from one of the digits got erased so it got confusing sometimes.  Show details

Garmin Vivofit 3 - a great little companion – I've had this fitness tracking watch for a number of years as it was a hand-me-down, and I wonder how I've gone without it for so long. It's an awesome little watch, the battery lasts for months on end, the only downside to this watch is the screen is somewhat delicate. I used this watch while building quite a number of months ago and… Read more

unfortunately the screen scratched up quite bad, the screen developed some dead pixels and the overall usability has gone down.

Having said this though, it's a very accurate activity tracker, it's very light and comfortable, even when sweaty.

Would recommend purchasing if you're in the market for a fitness watch.

not perfect – have used this for a month now, issues include: - driving car to work incorrectly records every bump in the road as a step - regardless of wearing on right or left wrist, incorrectly records many daily tasks as steps - my phone and vivofit often will not connect to download activity  Show details

Broke after 12 months exactly – This product was bought for my daughter who looked after it meticulously. After 1 year it just stopped working. It was a few days out of warrantee so of course the store would not replace it for us. I would have thought it would be far more durable and am disappointed at it not lasting for longer.  Show details

Works well, takes a while to get used to controls – As a step counter, it works fabulous. MoveIQ doesn't seem to work correctly for me. I rode my bike twice for at least 20 minutes this last week and it didn't count any of them as riding my bike. It did recognize when I walked fast for intensity minutes. I haven't yet tried swimming or running with it. But I really wanted this upgrade for it to… Read more

Not recommended – Has suddenly stopped working exactly after warranty finished and I had no choice. Customer care says can't help. Not a reliable product. Please spend money on something else. Get something better for your money – We have been through 4 of these, which Garmin have had to replace under warranty. The pixels dissipate after not long, and you can’t read the watch. When it’s actually working, it’s great! It counts your steps and tells the time, but for my money, I’d rather spend the extra and get something better,  Show details

Great Fitness Watch – Had the watch for about 2 months. Awesome data that the watch is collecting. It has helped my fitness greatly. I wear it 24/7 and it’s so light I don’t even notice it!
