washes a day on the hottest pots and pan cycle. We run a cleaning tablet throught it every fortnight or so as the kids are not the best at scraping their plates. At 3 years and 1 month, the rotor shaft magnet on the wash pump cracked in half.... I will update this review pending how well harvey norman/ariston deal with this in warranty.

Follow-up  · Update on warranty repairs: Ariston sent new parts without a fuss, all in all the process took 4 weeks. A long time for not having a dishwasher. The machine worked its little bottom off after initial testing of the new components. With luck, I dont need another warranty call in the 1.75 years remaining. For just under $1000, at 3 years without… Read more

Follow-up  · Further Update: Since repair the machine has run without a hitch. What I forgot to add previously was we purchased thorugh Harvey Norman, And they were also great at helping getting the warranty sorted. I did not have to pay any extra for the 5 year warranty at initial purchase. So that really helps with the wash load math. Best of luck.

charging me $250 for a calll out fee and did not rectify the issue. They are now progressing to replace faulty part but are having significant delays receiving parts and I'm left to negotiate with local plumber who are unsure what Ariston will pay for. I would recommend that people to not purchase this product and next time I will be choosing a company that prioritses good customer service.

Follow-up  · How has your experience been since your original review? Since my original review, my experience improved after finally receiving the correct warranty repair. Replacement parts were installed and my dishwasher is now working as intended. However, the journey to resolution was extremely frustrating and time-consuming, with persistent reliability… Read more

Mouldy dishes – My dishes come out mouldy a lot of the time. It's so annoying, they have to be hand washed after they come out of the dishwasher. I have used dishwasher cleaners, makes no difference. My dishes go in scraped and sometimes rinsed. The dishes don't come out dry. I do not recommend this Ariston dishwasher. :( Show details

Exceptionally good machine (price and warranty) – Whilst the Ariston model listed on our receipt has the suffix '-T1' on it, the machine is also listed as the LFC2C19X AUS and just LFC2C19X. The two (main) things that drew us to this particular machine were the price ($599) and the warranty (5 years). Having previously owned (and being very happy with) an Ariston stove gave us some confidence… Read more

as well.

The machine washes very well. After having put it through all the options that we would use) other than Intensive (pots/pans) we could not be happier. The only thing I could really fault is the washing times.

The best (and default) setting to use is the "Eco" setting which is the most energy efficient (0.86KWh/cycle) and uses 12L per wash. This setting has washed everything to perfection (full loads) and has left the dishes perfectly dry afterwards (including most plastics), but saying that, we have only emptied it a good hour after it has finished. The cycle does take a whopping 2 hours and 40 min.

Another great setting is the "Express 30" setting which as the name implies, does a cycle in 30 min. It uses .50KWH/cycle and 8.5L per cycle. The manual states that this "program be used for lightly soiled dishes with no dried food residues (ideal for 2 place settings)". I would agree with the dried food residues, but we've had no issue with a much fuller load than suggested. This setting does not include a drying element in the cycle, so dishes will be quite wet at the end of the cycle unless you open the door up fairly soon after the end and let it dry that way (which takes less than 5 min).

We also appreciate the flexibility to raise the top rack (to make more room on the bottom for our larger plates) and that the cutlery basket can be placed anywhere at the front. Even with the top rack raised, there is certainly enough room for all cups and glasses (including wine glasses).

There is also an option to use a "half load" option but we haven't tried that on account that we don't have half loads. It is meant to save on water and power, but I don't know about wash length or how effective it would be to select with a full load.

After getting the machine home I was alarmed that (according to the manual) I had to fill a salt reservoir because of hard water issues. A quick phone call to the after sales support people informed me that is only necessary if you are living outside of a major metropolitan center (or in Europe apparently).

The machine is also very quiet. It is listed at 49dB which is higher than most other dishwashers which hover around the 42/43dB mark, but honestly, we find it super quiet with the only noticeable noise being when it fills and drains, and even then, only if we are in the vicinity.

We purchased this from a Harvey Norman factory outlet as a factory second which is why it was so cheap (retails for $799 off the shop floor) but there were no visible marks/scratches etc to detract from the machine which was a bonus as it stands fairly exposed in our kitchen. It came with a 5 year warranty which is just astounding considering that with exception of AEG (also with 5 years, but starting at just over $1200), every other manufacturer gives 2 years (regardless of model or price).

Edit 14/6/19: Have now used the the half load option numerous times and it does a great job too.

Lemon – works well until the faults start to occur. Obviously an electrical fault as the lights flash, pump wont turn off unless you disconnect from the electricity & continues in a loop of filling & emptying. Had a technician say there was nothing wrong with it as on the day it worked with no problems. Will never get another, what a lemon. Show details

Not what we expected – Dishwasher performance was ok, had significant issues getting it reloaded with Salt (won't actually work without Salt) once this had occurred the dishwasher stopped working all together a few months after. Followed up with a warranty claim and the Ariston team just stopped responding when they had all the information required. 0 Stars Show details

Works good until it doesn’t – When it works it’s great but you just keep up the rinse aid. But at 6 years old is having its 4th error. The first error was F12, then F2 twice and now an F3. I’m so tired of it having problems and needing to organise repairs. It tends to build up sludge around the seals which I’ve never had before I owned this machine. This is despite using… Read more

regular dishwasher cleaner. I’ve also had to replace the cutlery basket twice as it develops holes and cutlery falls through.

I’d like to spend no more than $1000 to replace it but most dishwashers seem to have terrible reviews. Is it too hard to have a product that lasts?

Don't Buy – This dishwasher has been nothing but trouble since we first got it. It's already had 3 repairs under warranty. The last one worked for only a few weeks and it's now not working again. The average wait for service has been 2 - 3 weeks, however this time it's been more than 3 weeks already. Absolutely terrible product and service, I would never recommend this brand to anyone.

Problematic early experience, now resolved – Supplied (HN) without salt, book says in bold type 'If salt container not filled water softener and heating element may be damaged'. Book quotes French and German hardness scales, meaningless in Oz. Salt only from HN or web order - HN not conveniently close. First cycle lots of water droplets on dishes, and cant seem to adjust rinse aid setting.… Read more

HN advised dont need salt in Melb! Update - Ariston have clarified need for salt and are sending some, as HN is out of stock. Machine is now working well. The dish trays with 2 different width racks work well, some folding, and the angled top trays make loading cups and glasses easier than earlier machines we have had.

Great, until it wasn't – I was convinced by the salesman at Harvey Norman to buy this machine instead of a Bosch. It was slightly cheaper. I have owned this now 4 years and the bottom shelf won't clean and it now makes loud noises, being in warranty I called customer service to organise assistance and I never get an answer. The one time I got through I explained the issue… Read more

and was asked what I had tried to remedy the issue so far the line then dropped and when I called back I got no answer just a machine.

Having done some research it appears to be an issue with the pump which is around $350 to fix if I don't use the warranty, since I can't get hold of customer service it looks like I am going to be getting a new dishwasher and it won't be Ariston.

Very disappointed and insulted – Not even 1 year Old. Won’t drain. Paid $180 for suggested technician to look at it. not her problem, a cockroach is vermin which cancels the warranty. Explained we live in Queensland where cockroaches can come through drain and fly in. She then stated the dishwasher is made overseas and not to Australian standards and we should have pest control done in house every six months. We do, but the warranty still wouldn’t cover it. Insulted, we do not have a dirty house with vermin.

Terrible dishwasher – I was talked into buying this piece of rubbish (over a Westinghouse) by the lovely sales person at HN, who told me it would be amazing because it has a 5 year warranty. It's now just on 2 years old and the seal keeps coming off. That's the second time it has happened. I'm told seals are a 'consumable' and therefore not covered under warranty... Yet I've never had to replace a seal on any dishwasher of mine. Show details

Doesn’t work, no support – So many struggles with this product. Worked for a while, then needed to get salt refill (hard to find). Worked for one more wash then stopped. Ring for support (1) call back service - no call, (2) emails not returned and (3) 1 hour in the phone queue, no answer, then shit for the day. I wonder if anyone even works at the technical support line? So frustrating, never had so much trouble with a dishwasher! Show details

Problem after problem! – This dishwasher is driving me crazy! We’ve had pump issues, starting issues & cleaning issues. Everytime something is fixed something else goes wrong! My dishwasher recess would be better filled with a rubbish bin! Most days I’m hand washing what’s come out filthy and the other days it won’t even start to attempt a load. Fed up with it! However customer service has been good with our complaints and very accommodating to our regional location. Show details

Do not buy! – This is a very poor performance machine. The 30 minute quick wash is only for a very light load, does not dry and more often than not the dishes will still have residue on completion. Quicker, easier to hand wash than use this cycle. The Eco cycle is not a lot better - a whopping 2 1/2hour cycle and there is still residue left in plates and in… Read more

the pots. I rarely get a 100% from this cycle so there is no "Eco" here, we have to use more water and detergent to clean the mess left after the wash. I have had this machine for 9 months now and can count on one hand a perfect wash outcome, regardless of which cycle we have chosen. I have complained, of course - the technician tells me it's working perfectly and to change the tablets to the same brand as the rinse brand. And to also ignore the tablet box, we should put the tablet on the floor of the washer instead. Not one iota of difference. We have given up and will now buy a very different brand to this one. I could not possibly recommend Ariston dishwashers to anyone.

Don't buy it, last a year and Costumer service is the worse, very rude! – I purchase this dishwasher with 5 year warranty, lasted just a year and stop working, I called Ariston and follow their procedures, they sent a technician and he found the DW had an electrical problem, He said he'll order a part for it and will call me to organise, after that I never received a call, message or email, has pass a month now and… Read more

And I still have no answers and a broken dishwasher I am very upset and tired to deal with Ariston I will never ever buy anything from Ariston, you don't care about your costumers Avoid this product, we are a family of 3 and just did 1 year 1 month of work. Great Dishwasher Quite Happy – Had this dishwasher for about a year now. Washes the dishes well. The choice of cycles is useful, the rinse option is quick and handy if you don't have a full load and it will sit for a bit before washing. Eco wash uses less power but doesn't have a drying cycle so the dishes will still be wet when you open it. Either open the drawers and let… Read more

evaporation do the work for a couple of hours before unloading or use another cycle if you want them dry.

You do have to watch that the top rack doesn't accidentally slide down because if it is too low and the arm can't rotate it won't wash properly. You also need to make sure nothing is hanging over the front of the racks where the soap dispenser is, so it doesn't block it from opening. As long as you do that it's great.

Washes well and good value for money – I always use the eco cycle and I use after a couple of days of accumulation of dishes and it washes the dishes well but if I don’t open the door immediately after the wash the dishes don’t dry fast as there is no heat to dry them off. They are still wet so I have to wipe excess wetness off dishes. This is probably its only fault. The cutlery… Read more

basket is good and versatile. You can use the top grates or remove them. Also the top drawer is adjustable so this is handy. The drawers are plastic and I thought they would get grubby after a while but they look good as new. Sometimes stuck on food that has dried abit before putting in the dishwasher needs to be pre rinsed to help soften it otherwise there may be some residue on the dishes after the wash. It feels sturdy unlike some of the cheaper brands

You get what you pay for – Does a good job cleaning the dishes but the dishes are always wetish in the end especially if you use the eco cycle. But it is only half the price of Miele. I guess I have been spoiled by Miele in the past. I guess the question is do you want to pay $1000 more to get dry dish each time? Had it for almost 1 year and so far so good as I only run it once per week as I hardly cook. Show details

Good buy overall – Love the layout of the racks and how to utensil tray can be moved across to where I want it. I also love the option of lowering or raising the top rack to allow for larger items on the bottom. Only downside is I find the temperature is not really hot enough to air dry the dishes once the cycle is over. A Very Disappointing Dishwasher – WE purchased ours from Harvey Norman in Perth and it is a total disappointment. We never put dirty unrinsed dishes or pots in it. because we had the top tray on its lower setting the plates in the bottom tray might have been preventing the rotor under the top tray rotating. We have subsequently only used it with the top tray in the higher position but the pots in the top are left poorly or not washed at all. Even the pot lids in the bottom tray are left dirty. When we take the pots and lids out after an Eco Wash the dirt in them comes of easily by a quick wipe with a washing cloth - why can't the machine clean them. Over the years we have had quite a number of dishwashers and none of the non Ariston brands gave us a problem. This Ariston is a total waste of money. DO NOT BUY ONE.
