short cycle only. After the service man left I tried the long cycle. The machine cuts out at 1.5 hours with only 21 minutes to go. The Water filter symbol is showing. I have tried to trouble shoot with no luck and will need the service of a repair person again. I am thinking the electric board may have a fault. Very expensive servicing for another repair man visit.
I would never buy this brand again after paying just over $1,000 for it 3 years ago. Also there are only 3 adults using the machine about twice a week so they are not a very durable item. After owning the Miele for 14.5 years we will buy another Miele.
Follow-up · Ariston has still not responded to service agent after 3 weeks and numerouse efforts to see why the machine works on exxpresscycle but cuts out three quarters of the way on long cycle.

they advised they would replace the machine. Then they would not supply a ETA for the replacement until I went to Harvey Norman and complained. It doesn’t end there!! I finally received the replacement Whirlpool machine, which on first use violently jumped around, so much so that the water hose ripped off the machine flooding the laundry and smashing into a wall. Very dangerous!! Hopefully I will get a working machine in the near future

Ariston front loader non-existent quality assurance, even worse after sales support – Don’t buy this product. If i could give this machine zero stars i would. later we got a reply to say the service would be arranged through a local agent. Weeks after that (end of April) someone finally came to look at it. I don’t see how it could even pass inspection – half of the numbers on the front of the machine are missing – which anyone with eyes can see is a fault. Worse, the machine didn’t have all the required stabilisers! It is missing key parts! In August 2024 after pushing them, they finally sent confirmation the machine would be replaced. We asked who will deliver it and who will install the machine because we do not have the capability to install a heavy washing machine. Further, given there are core parts missing from the brand new machine we purchased we thought it wise to have someone confirm the replacement machine does not have the same problem. Of course they said no so basically if we couldn’t do it we would have to shell out more money to pay someone – really great service. It’s now January 2025 and no sign of the promised replacement. Frankly we’d rather have our money back because there’s clearly no quality assurance and we don’t want to go through this again. Don’t buy Ariston products!

Expensive Rust bucket Ariston Washing Machine – Rust bulge below detergent dispenser and another rust bulge mid center below door. Spring around seal of drum rusted completely also. Ariston appliance. I have owned many other brand of washing machine and never had a rust problem. Company's response was excess detergent used WOW unbelievable!!!! Save your money and don't ever buy this brand!!!!
Never again – Leaked within first year - the rubber around door had to be replaced, at my installation cost. Still intermittently leaks. Water pools in the rubber quite deeply and requires mopping up with a towel to remove every wash or it becomes dirty and odorous. clothes come out dripping wet. Yet if you try and use the rapid cycle it doesn’t even get all the clothes wet. Numbers all came off the front dial within the first year. After 3 years it now leaves stains on all the light coloured clothes, I undertake a cleaning cycle the machine regularly plus the above cleaning after each use so can’t explain stains. We now have to hand wash our whites.

Great machine until the door seal goes – Have had this machine just on two years. The front door seal has perished. Called Ariston no warranty as it’s a consumable. Has been over 6 weeks now there is no replacement door seal anywhere for this. Door seal that should fit this model number doesn’t actually fit it. Husband liked the 5 year warranty.
From day 1 we have had in erroring intermittently. The two main errors were it wasn't receiving water or it wasn't draining. These would usually resolve themselves if we changed the cycle. Sometimes it would happen every load (and I was doing loads almost every day) other times would go 2+ weeks without erroring. Was annoying but with a newborn we did not overly have the time to follow up. After about 3 months it started saying it was not draining almost every cycle (but would still drain) and then eventually actually started not draining.
We put in a warranty claim with Ariston, they referred us to their third party repair company who had a disclaimer saying that if they could not find fault with the machine the customer would be charged. Booked the soonest available appointment for 2 weeks out, machine did not error in the time. Called the day before to explain situation to the company, they said we would be charged if it did not error when the tech came out, cancelled appointment. Washing machine errored again 2 days later.
Called Harvey Norman directly, they assured me that I would not be charged for the tech coming out (had to be inspected for a return), was through the same company, another week and a half wait. During that time washing machine would not drain, and we could not manually drain it. Washing washing was stuck in the machine for a week.
Tech came out and "fixed" the machine, said it should work, run as normal, and if it errored again they would know what parts to order. After he left I put my weeks worth of baby clothes in the wash, washing machine errored and would not drain, it was Friday afternoon, Tech could not come out again until Monday. Parts ordered. On Monday Tech showed us how to crawl under the machine to manually force it to drain.
3 weeks later called to follow up, they said all the parts should be here for next week, book in repair. around 3.30 the afternoon before they were supposed to come out they called saying parts still had not arrived, it would be another 2 weeks at least.
Called Harvey Norman as it had been 7 weeks since I started the process (5 since I started with Harvey Norman). They have provided full store credit and we will be swapping it with an LG.
Would NOT recommend this brand!

year warranty is not what it appears, our machine is only 14 months old and started leaking from the door seal, which is not covered by warranty. We have tried other spare parts companies but they have not been able to find the part either. One contacted Arisit on the 9th of February and they are still waiting for a reply. The customer service and care is appalling. Also I believe the parts are extremely expensive, one spare parts repairer quoted $500 and the machine only cost $999. We are unable to afford that cost. I have tried the phone numbers recommended by a representative on product review with the same result, no answer. We are sadly stuck with this machine and so disappointed and upset by the whole experience. Never would I buy from this brand again. There motto of peace of mind and care is false and misleading.
Why I chose Ariston – The 8Kg Ariston N84WAU has a generous 5 year warranty. The design of the more compact spring loaded "Swing Out" style of detergent dispenser, rather than the somewhat clunky, elongated, pull out drawer, featured in other brands, which does not appear to be very stable. machine (my first with a cold water only connection) performs well despite our hard water, and requires minimal detergent. I use the very accurate 30 minute "Rapid Cycle" which has the 800rpm spin cycle, and if needed follow up with the 10 minute "Spin & Drain" cycle with 1400rpm.
This machine is easy to use, and produces a quality wash in a timely manner.
Best washing machine ever – The fast wash is great, I paid under $900 for a European built machine with steam which is great for a refresh if I leave the load in for a bit too long after the cycle ends. excellent machine – excellent washing machine, this was to replace a 10 year old Samsung front loader The Ariston 8kg front loader is easy with simple controls just turn the dial to select the washing function and press start all the programs have been pre selected and programmed for simple use. its also very quite and looks good to, this appliance is made in Italy and is well built and comes with a 5 year warranty so no need to buy the extended warranty
