How does the drainage and the little pipe at the bottom of the unit work i.e. how do you get rid of the water which results from using the air con ?

⛔️9/3/23 Drain this outlet carefully twisting rubber plug out. Have a flat pyrex dish beside to drain water in -cupful usually. Tilt machine back carefullly 20degrees only till drained. Do at 8hr intervals to prevent mold etc.? This is recommended practice Some moisture is required to operate so max cooling will be a bit less till water builds up again. Dont forget clean rear pullout filter frame often fortnightly & service Unit annually to remove gunge off rear condenser fins (see with torch) Always transport UPRIGHT on back seat seat belted in tight. Hope that gives you 5+ yrs service as mine is SupershopperNZ/ROD

⛔Let's not get into sweat about loosing the drain rubber bung, ,(I did as well but found later). Use a medium rolled piece of bluetak to plug hole like snake. Hardens + can be teased out later to drain if req. Tip 2 Don't forget to get cleaned rear pull out frame filter weekly you do + annually the condenser behind it professionally cleaned by serviceman - means transporting unit must be upright on car back seat buckled in. About $100 to do will restore full cool should be 7-10 degrees at grille with thermometer after.

See base rear for rubber bung to drain if gets full twist gently out + drain. You DON'T put water in IT makes it in the cooling process

Why is it blowing cool air for a couple of minutes the makes a clunky noise then it blows hotter air than outside !!!!

SupershopperNz

Incorrect setting Reset temp to 22 + run MAX cooling as instructions 10mins. Cool air now should be 7 degrees at grille off thermometer resting on grille Increase temp 1 degree at time till condenser switch off (clunk) then back up 1_2 degrees in adjust mode max speed use. Unit blows warmer air until condenser switches back on " to cool. Room Windows to be shut and doors Blowing continued hot air basically means temp setting set to high on unit. SupershopperNz / ROD

The water tank keeps filling up and will not drain via exhaust hose. Any suggestions?

Sorry Jane,

Mine didn't last long enough to worry about that before I took it back.

The water tank on ARLEC PA1500 does not drain via exhaust pipe There is a rubber bung at base of unit. Put a cloth down + shallow pyrex dish to gently wriggle detach bung catch water about 2 small cups or less + replace bung same way. Make sure you carefully lean machine back wards

50mm to assist draining
