Easy to use, perfect clean everytime – Easy and practical to use. Hasn't let us down after 5 years of use with a perfect clean every time. Water tight and no problem with the door seals and control panel like some of the previous reviews. Just needs the filter for the waste outlet regularly cleaned and it will keep performing.  Show details

Happy with the dishwasher – Quiet and reliable. Cleans well. Used 4-5 times per week with few issues. I have owned several other dishwashers - these appliances work very hard and need to be looked after properly. Occasional cleaning of filters and seals is a good idea! We are surprised at the negative reviews on this site. Maybe the silent majority aren't represented?  Show details

Asko robbers! Money down the drain! – Control panel failed conveniently just after warranty period $440 to replace it! Only use one a week! Now again 2years after replacing the dishwasher isn't powering on again! So I'm not wanting to pay the same again for the same issue! After reading above posts looks like two common problems the leaking water from the door and the failing control panel. Come on ASKO time to recall you faulty products.  Show details

Good until now,as others have mentioned leaking from door vent – As other users have had the same issue of the leak from the vent at the bottom of the door. Does anyone have any idea how to rectify this. Currently building a new house and was all set to buy another Asko, but now not sure. Have been happy with this unit other than the top dish rack having a break in it.

Works very well but now front door leaks – I have had a Asko d5131 for a few years. Previously I have had other Askos including the previous Asko brands Asea and New World. It has worked very well, easy to use and keeps plates etc clean. It has been excellent until now! Now, like some other have reported it is now leaking from from left of the door. It is not the seal as I have… Read more

checked it and cleaned it. A small amount of water either comes when I open the door at the end of the cycle or about 20 to 30 minutes into the cycle.

Good appliance – I have had an ASKO 5131 washer for about 4 years now and have never had an issue with mine. Cleans beautifully only issue is very rare occasions seems to leak a little from left front cannot find anything wrong with the seal. Would happily purchase another ASKO appliance in the future.  Show reply

Really pleased with it! – Bought one 5 years ago, only ever had to call out a tradesman once due to a food (pea) blockage. He commented that the waste outlet was a bit narrow and made it bigger. No problems ever since. Have just bought another for my next home. I think regular descale and Dishwasher cleaner help to keep them clean, and working!  Show reply

Asko useless! – Bought an asko D5131 around 3 years ago. had an F2 problem come up so rang for service. guy turns up(at a cost) says needs a seal on the door but that shouldn't be causing F2 problem. Guy comes back, replaces a door seal dries out the unit, it works twice and F2 again, only now it threw the power out on the house. guy comes back finally takes… Read more

unit out, begrudgingly, and finds a large split in the waste hose that has now been spraying water up into the machine and caused the heating element to blow. had he fixed the pipe the first time, we would have a working dishwasher without the aggravation. I would like to sort it out with Adelaide service dept. but they have washed there hands of me and refused to let me speak to anyone higher than the woman who answers the phone. NEVER BUY ASKO AGAIN!!!!

3 Repairs in 4 years – First repair was not done under warranty and cost around $800, which was more than a major car service I was getting done on the same day. Second repair, about 18 months later replaced the control unit. ASKO did it for free in lieu of having charged me for the earlier repair. 15 months later, the control unit seems to have blown again. ASKO… Read more

guarantees repairs for 6 months, so have gone with another company for the third repair as they give 12 month guarantee on repairs, if the next repair is costly, I'll never do a 4th repair and instead by a cheap dishwasher and replace it often. From the reviews seen here, this particular model seems to be a sick dog and should be recalled. Fixed spray arm at the top. Keeps breaking down.

ASKO 5131WH – I have an Akso D5131 as well on the first week the door seal had to be repaired as it was leaking, have had them out again as it does not clean the dishes properly, i clean the dishwasher once a month with a cleaner, the filter gets cleaned once a week, so its not an issue with cleanliness. Again today have had them out just finished a dishwasher… Read more

cycle a small load only and still 3 dishes come out dirty and still the guys says it works ok. Ok to me is when I empty the dishwasher and everything is cleaned without me having to reclean them again. I am not happy with this dishwasher. We had an ASKO before and never had any problems that's the reason we bough another. NEVER AGAIN

Cleaning - it doesnt clean the dishes properely and never had

ASKO DISHWASHER D5131SS – Never again. This diswasher has had problem after problem since purchased about two and half years ago. First time we have had a dishwaher, so nothing to compare it with. The main problem is the electronic digital control panel which has been replaced twice and is now in need of replacing again as it just goes dead. We have looked after the… Read more

machine and even put a surge arrester on the power point to make sure it isn't an electrical current problem. The whole door panel had to be replaced at one stage and it still did not fix the problem. When it does work, it cleans well. unreliable

Worst machine I've ever owned – I bought our Asko 5131 about two and a half years ago and have never been happy with it. Tablets don't dissolve in it, so I started using the gel which was effective for a while but left a film of slime over the filter, which meant it had to be cleaned a lot. Now using the tablets again it is worse than when we first bought it, not only do the… Read more

tablets not dissolve and end up half disintegrated over the cutlery in the holder and the plates at the front but none of the dishes end up clean and mugs in the top rack end up with sediment in them and glasses end up with grit all over them. It is very frustrating. I would never recommend an Asko dishwasher to a potential buyer.

Doesn't clean!

Clean dishes, great capacity, easy controls – Highly recommended for it's cleaning and excellent loading capacity. Simple operation and simple, no frills compartment. Takes tall glasses and has great variation of loading options. Have had Bosch and other good brands but none clean as good as this. Cleaning ability is exceptional.

Great dishwasher – Purchased an Dishlex having had them in the past as Vulcan Dishlex. Couldn't believe how awful it was. Nothing would stand up in it. Every time you closed the door the plates would all fall out. Would have to rate a Zero for design. Found out it was now Electrolux. Rang them up and said I wanted my money back. To their credit they responded… Read more ·  2

quickly and I had a cheque within two months. Paid a bit more for the Asko but very happy with the machine. It is head and shoulders above the above model. Everything comes out so clean it squeaks. Reliable. Good back up.
