Have had the dishwasher for 5 years. While it has been good, the heater stopped working and therefore dishes were not coming out clean or dry. Asko refused to repair, regardless of their brand being of “premium quality”. Over $500 for a new pump and heater, I would have been better off buying a cheaper brand if it was only going to last 5 years. Show details
Based on my experience, Asko manufacture dishwashers which are of terrible quality and offer shocking customer service. My rating would be 0 stars if that was possible. I purchased an Asko dishwasher on the 15/12/2022. This dishwasher displayed an F11 error on the 04/04/2026. It then ceased working completely. Asko stated that it is unable to… Read more
be assessed as it is no longer installed. As dishwasher manufacturers, Asko should understand how important a dishwasher is to a family with young children. Therefore, I had to have the dishwasher removed so a new one could be installed.
I offered for it to be taken away and tested, to confirm the fault. However, to expect a customer to keep a faulty product installed, at a great inconvenience to their daily life, is terrible customer service.
Asko also told me that a refund cannot be offered as it is out of warranty. Under AustralianConsumer Law products are required to last for a reasonable amount of time, regardless of the warranty offered by the manufacturer. Three and a half years is not a reasonable period of time for a dishwasher worth $1499.00.
I have forwarded my complaint to WA Consumer Protection and the ACCC.
Dishwasher is rusted inside and outside after three months. Rang ASKO and they won't do anything about it. The worst customer service. The appliances from ASKO are not high quality despite the high price. Paid $1699. This is a disgrace and I cannot believe this is allowed to happen in Australia. NEVER BUY ASKO. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I HAVE TO THROW THIS DISHWASHER OUT.
As a dishwasher it works great. It is quiet and cleans very well with little fuss. The buttons are quirky (won’t operate unless the door is open) but otherwise it’s good to use. But… Just under 2 years old and the heater shorted out. This was fixed under warranty. Then 9 months later the heater has gone again. Asko advise me the part they… Read more
replaced under warranty only has a 3 month warranty and I’m on my own.
I tried to engage with them on a goodwill basis to get the part provided free of charge and just got barrier after barrier, they have no interest in doing the right thing.
I would and will stay clear of Asko from now on.
I’m obviously a jaded customer so don’t base everything on what I say. I recommend you search “Bosch dishwasher” on product review and then search “Asko dishwasher” and compare the average ratings, that’s what I wish I did 2.5 years ago.
Rust not covered under warranty?!!!!! – I bought this dishwasher 18 months ago and have been very happy with it until I noticed the door bottom corner was starting to rust and the hinge of the door on the inside also showing signs of corrosion. I contacted Asko as the dishwasher was still within warranty and they replied quite rudely and informed me that rust was not covered in their… Read more
warranty. How can an appliance that deals mainly with water and humidity not be covered for rust?!!!! And also how bad is the actual product if it’s already rusting after 18 months????!!! This was $1,650 and I expected it to last a minimum of 10 years! This is simply not good enough!
Constantly going unto F54 Error – Purchased in October 2020, 2 months ago started to get error code, contacted Asko and operator informed me to turn off power and wait 10 mins, yes cleared error, however came back after using it twice more, contacted Asko and asked for Asko technician to get a service done, first guy I called said he is no longer doing Asko repairs as to… Read more
expensive for customers for parts, so I contacted a local guy he came started to work on it then said he needed to take it to workshop as a major component had failed. Estimated cost of repair $490 - $550. We have learnt a lesson here expensive is NOT always the best
Great Dishwasher, so much better than my old AEG – This is a great dishwasher. I replaced an 8 year old AEG that had failed for the second time. This dishwasher cleans great running on Eco dishwashiong powder.. Better than my old AEG on a hot wash, It is quiet enough and has been reliable for around 18 months now. I was cautious buying this on the salesmans advice after reading negative reviews here but we couldnt be happier with it. Show details
So great, will take it with me when I move.! – I have NEVER been happier with a white goods product, and I have had many over the past 2-3 years. It is of the highest quality and does a fabulous job. I can fit very large items, and constantly recommend it to anyone who wants to listen. There is no issue with it AT ALL, only to say it is noisier than my previous dishwashers, but that is of little consequence. Show details
Brand new faulty & Asko don’t care – We purchased this a few months ago and the water inlet valve is faulty causing the pan to overfill and throwing and F54 error - a critical error. We have spent the past 2 months TRYING through MULTIPLE phonecalls to get ASKO to provide some customer service due to the fact that there is a fault which means that daily we have to manually empty the… Read more
pan to get the dishwasher to operate.- ASKO have been atrocious - when we call they repeatedly say that they will call back - never have - said there was no local repairer and asked could we repair it oursleves or find someone handy?!! We then went back to HN and said we were about to escalate the issue - amazingly ASKO found a local repairer - we are waiting for this and will see what happens.
Important to note is Asko sent me a review request, I gave a factual but negative review and received a standardised response email that my review had been moderated and didn’t fit the criteria - no details of why so I’m guessing they only publish positive reviews s- that’s a good heads up if you’re seeing Askos own ratings from reviews I can’t see they’d be accurate.
Expensive dishwasher not built to last – Our warranty is out of date by 10 days. Asko would not honor it. Just had repair man as the dishwasher is not cleaning. $165 just to have someone look at it. Motor has completely died. For the amount of money this dishwasher has cost it’s not worth it and does not last. Show details
Okay dishwasher but not the best customer service process – The machine is probably quite okay and well built but the customer service left much to be desired. It's 5 weeks now and still not repaired. I couldn't make contact with ASKO for 2 weeks and the email I sent was never responded to. The company they sent the job to has still not contacted me & it's been over 2 weeks. All the ASKO staff have… Read more
been lovely but it's been a terrible process and hopefully they take more care with who they refer jobs to. They have sent my job to another group who will hopefully make contact.
Its ok, not a bad unit – We recently had this unit installed. It works quite well but not enough to justify the price tag.

Purchased ASKO products FULL PRICE but received as “SECONDS” . ASKO refused full refund but charging 15% Restocking Fees – I gave up Miele and Bosch under the sales persuasion of Harvey Norman and bought whole house appliances ASKO Dishwasher. Washer, Dryer, Oven and Hob total of 5 units. All items were delivered on 14/04/2022 after the installation of all units we started to discovering problems with the dishwasher (Frame out of shape not stand straight) and washing… Read more
machine (Letters imprints disappearing). started to contact/wrangling with ASKO services team via email and calling 1300 002 756 every second day for over a month trying to resolve the issues, but no email replies and poor customer services with no updates. First Dishwasher DBI243IB.S.AU not being straight out of shaped frame could not sit straight on the floor (seal protector partially removed) and been advised by the technician that's the characteristic of the machine but ended up offering an exchange. Was advised by it would take up to 4-6 weeks for replacement of current machine, however only less than 5 business days the new unit came 20/06/2022. This time the unit stand straight (again seal protector partially removed), but worse than the first machine. The unit smelt mouldy and had water stain, ridiculously it had a random moulded yellow strainer inside the dishwasher. Also, the Letters on the washing machine W4086C started to disappearing with a single finger wipe and been contacting services team for a spare-part since 24/05/2022 no updates on the spare-part until now. After doing some research I found on the ASKO website that they have a lot of clearance used stock. If you are looking into buying ASKO products, be wary of them selling second-hand products. I discovered both units of dishwasher we had being "SECOND-HANDED" products. The seal protector on the upper left corner of the dishwasher, If the triangle is torn to reveal the ASKO logo, it is remarked as “SECONDHAND” second-hand. It is exactly the same look as the units currently selling as CLEARNCE items on ASKO.COM.AU. I felt SICK this is Australia, paid full price on top premium brand worth of $10,000.00AUD and receiving not just faulty but "SECOND" products (SALES FRAUD). I am contacting my lawyer to start legal action with ASKO for fraudulent sales crimes.

Know better, choose better.
Would’ve rated lower – This dishwasher has been the worst kitchen appliance I have ever purchased. It took 3 months to arrive and then another 2 for them to install it. On top of that it has leaked and cause flooding within the kitchen cabinets not once but twice and this was after the first time when the ASKO technicians “repaired” it. In total ASKO has been the worst… Read more
company I’ve shopped with and the products are obviously awful on top of their already pathetic customer service.
Absolutely love this machine – sleak design, simple controls, steel washing jet points. The baskets pull out a long way giving access to all areas for loading dishes. Easy access to the filter basket for emptying Show details
Perfect appliance in a large household – love it the only draw back is the cutlery caddy would have preferred if it has a cutlery tray so that the cutlery could be washed clean Do not need to rinse the dishes unless it is very heavily soiled Show details
Perfect dishwasher for a big family – We love this dishwasher, we’ve had a bosh in the past but a salesmen convinced me without reading reviews which aren’t great. But yes its amazing size and design fits everything, 5 yr warrentee. Perfect
Extremely poor product, will not recommend anyone to buy Asko Products – Bought Asko Dishwasher on 11th June 2021 and it arrived on 16th June 2021. 15 minutes after delivery, I called Asko Customer Service and lodged the first complaint. Seems dishwasher was already opened and was missing foot, without this it couldn't be installed. Took them 3 weeks to deliver the part and then finally the unit was running. on 18th… Read more
July Called Asko second time as Dishwasher was throwing F54 error. Technician came in few days and advised the dispenser is broken and needs to be fixed. Till then use dishwasher without rinse aid and on intense setting. without rinse aid every single utensil was wet and in around 6 weeks the fault part was replaced. Other issue is this machine uses tremendous amount of rinse aid.
I bought this from Harvey Norman and had to ask those guys to assist. After they helped me, some Team Manager called me and ensured they will fix this and if any issues arises in future they will refund or exchange the unit.
Now on 25/10/2021 Dishwasher is down again with another error code. Called Asko and now have to wait at least until 28/10 for technician to come inspect and fix the unit.
Not sure where to go, Asko is not helpful. There is no escalation here. They should have replaced the unit on the very first call when a brand new unit was missing part.
Asko if you are reading this and want to assist then you have my number, call me. Rather than me waiting to go through customer service.
I wouldn't buy this for free – Bought it with big hopes for best cleaning and drying abilities of this machine. It doesn't clean any stain on the plates. Even after rinsing the spaghetti plate it failed to wash it and I had to wash the plates manually. It's good to use as a shelving cabinet and that's about it. So disappointed Show details
very poor customer service they don't care – Disappointed by Asko , I bought an expensive dishwasher and it arrived with the front door smashed, I keep calling and there is a new excuse all the time , now the new one is their delivery person cannot install because of COVID, I told them I don’t want it installed and the broken one will be ready to pickup at the front door so no physical contact, very poor customer service from Asko I will let people know about this brand Show details
Great, quiet and easy to use – I was a bit suspicious to buy it as most of the reviews seems to be towards negative for this machine, but I went ahead as it looks a lot better than the competition and I could have bigger items such as wine glasses or side plates in the top rack and still wash big plates and saucepan on the bottom (the design is great). It’s 3 months now and I’m… Read more
very happy with the dishwasher. Got installed by their lovely team that adjusted perfectly in my kitchen, show how to check blocks when potential error F11 could come up in the machine when food residues are stuck on the pipe/filters before I call their customer service team. Had a Bosh before and always had to hand wash and soak before or after the bits of dry weetbix from the bowl (nuisance). With this machine, I don’t prewash anything and always been using the heavy and super dry program (recommended by the installer from Asko to stick with that on all the washes) and never had to hand wash anything. Dry sauce, dry cereal, everything comes out shiny and plastic containers are dry (no more drying on the dish rack afterwards) it’s super quiet too. I think the majority that buys Asko can’t be bother writing good review (human nature to complain when unhappy).
One of our most disappointing purchases – We had this dishwasher for 6 months before it unexpectantly died!. Almost 4 months later the part to repair the issue is still not available even though parts have arrived in Australia. How many other dishwashers have the same problem?
Product Good but Damage BAD – The dishwasher is working well. It's quiter than my 21 year old Asko. However, the delivery damaged my security door. I've followed up several times (phone calls and emails) with promises of help given and I'm still waiting two months later for a resolution. NOT HAPPY! Show details
ASKO DBI243IB.S.AU - one week in - so far so good! – I thought I'd write an honest summary of my one weeks’ worth of living with this dishwasher, as there is nothing in Choice reviews, and hardly any mention in product review for this model. I got bored of reading of people mentioning that they bought a Bosch to replace the world’s worst Miele, or someone buying a Miele because they've chewed… Read more
through 3 Bosch's.
I just wanted something decent to replace a 12 year old Blanco (freestanding model but slid in under bench) and one week down and this ASKO has only about 3 or 4 washes through it; and so far, so good. Admittedly, I was leaning towards a Bosch Serie 6, however every store (HN, BL, TGG) all independently steered me towards the ASKO or Miele products. The more reviews of all brand I read the harder it was to make a decision. so in steps my wife who wasn't stretching the budget to get the Miele ($1600), so she (we) opted for the ASKO (it also was $200 off until Jan 31st so that helped steer us too)
Also important to note, that we are a family of three and are rinsers, and I'd rather wash a frypan or saucepan that I know has baked on crud, rather than sticking it into a dishwasher and expecting it to scrub it for me, and be disappointed when you take it out and it’s still not 'clean'. I am also not a princess about having plastics dry in a dishwasher - plastics do not retain heat, and therefore will never dry as well as a metal or china item. We used to pop open the door on the old one when it finished, or take the plastics out and place them on the drying rack to air dry.
So what I am liking: - The large capacity. The Blanco's top basket was on highest setting, and while this ASKO's top basket doesn't adjust, I found that you don't really need to, and still have more available height in both the bottom and tops racks. - Build quality seems good
So what is different: - while it is quiet, I can hear water sloshing around it and hitting the door more than I could in the Blanco - perhaps the Blanco is more insulated, and the water inlet and emptying cycles seems to be a bit louder too. - layout - it is similar but different and small plastics on the top basket tend to get thrown around a bit more and end up turning over to collect water. Perhaps this has stronger sprays, or maybe not so much small storage racks to tuck the small containers in - I guess this is not a dislike, but just accepting that it’s different. - items come out after ECO wash cool to touch due to the fan dry system. Not a bad thing I guess if you do empty straight away, however plastics defiantly were not as dry as my old unit - again it's no drama for me to take them out and give them a shake and put them in the drying rack to dry overnight - I put in the cooktop trivets and selected heavy wash and left it overnight and was pleasantly surprised that the plastics in there were all dry the next morning. So I don't know if it was the additional heat from the hotter rinse cycle or just the extended time that it was left, but plastics did come out dry despite reading a lot of reviews that ASKO don't dry plastics.
So what I am not liking: - No real dislikes about the machine - just an air of doubt or have I made the right decision in buying this over a Bosch. I did call ASKO asking about extended warranty - I have another three weeks to decide to buy it (you can get 3 yrs. Ext Warr. up to 4 weeks after purchase for $199). And seeing as though I saved $199, on the purchase price, I could re-invest that amount and at least sleep at night knowing that I have another 4 years and 51 weeks of Warranty instead of the standard 2 years. Moreover, if fails after that there is always the ACL to fall back on!
Should anything go wrong or if I encounter any issues with it, it will update this review and may adjust the score.
Finally, everyone out there don't be too harsh on your expectations for a dishwasher - there isn't a person inside with a brush or a scourer scrubbing caked on gunk off your knives & forks, and certainly no tea towels in sight whenever I have opened one. If you want a 100% clean item 100% of the time, scrub it by hand, that way you can be your own quality control.
