Thinking we would lash out and purchase a more expensive and reliable dishwasher, we opted for an asko . From the very beginning there were issues. It took 2wks for a service person to attend . Then 2hrs later, and a technical modification by the service person seemed to remedy the problem. Less than 12mths later , a burning smell started to come… Read more

from the appliance. Another two weeks later and the same service person declares that the main power lead has burnt through its protective cover and he would recommend a replacement. Forward 9weeks later, it is about to be repaired. During the 9 week wait I contacted the so called ‘customer service team ‘ , no less than 5 times, each without response , until this day arriving. Here’s fingers crossed. Oh and don’t buy an asko

I had an ASKO dishwasher for 10 years which I was never happy with. The blades would get clogged with debris and dishes were always coming out dirty. So when the pump died, I went to Good Guys and said to the sales lady that I am open to anything but ASKO. She was very surprised and said she has an ASKO and has never had any feedback from unhappy… Read more

customers either. She then showed me the inside of an ASKO compared to other brands. It turns out, ASKO is one of the few that is really spacious inside and just fits more dishes. Given I was always filling up my ASKO to the brim, having less space wasn’t an option. So I reluctantly ordered the ASKO. And I couldn’t be happier. After a few weeks im pleasantly surprised….no debris in the blades and dishes that are sparkling every time. Maybe the pump on my old unit was never quite pushing the water out?? Who knows. But I’m happy with my latest purchase! I kept the old basket from my previous unit. Not a fan of the tray for my cutlery, it’s too time consuming. But loving the extra space for large knives and wooden spoons etc. Also the extra wash blade and zones are great.

Mostly good so far. We were replacing a Miele that stopped working after 15 years of hard labour (used most days on pots and pans setting). It came down to the Miele vs the equivalent Asko. Reviews were pretty unanimous on the really bad service from both. We would have bought from neither but other brands did not have the features we wanted. We… Read more

chose the Asko.

The good: - wash efficiency. We always used pots and pans wash on Miele to make sure everything was cleaned. On the Asko I tested the Intense speed wash which is 1.5 hrs. It cleaned everything perfectly. - dryiing effiency. Everything was completely dry including the plastics. Our Miele never dried everything: glasses, plastics, cuttlery handles and inside pots were always wet. The baskets pull out beyond the edg of the machine, the cutlery tray can be lifted out to load it

The annoying but we will get used to it: - smaller cutlery tray - the height of the prongs on the top shelf need to be shorter and narrow distances between them need to be a bit longer, there is less flexibility in use of the tray than for miele The bad You guessed it: the service. Bing Lee were fantastic but Asko's delivery was abominable. Booked in for a friday, given a delivery window the day before - all good. In the middle of that delivery window we get a call saying they wouldn't be delivering and said they would bring it on Monday. On the Monday, we have not heard from them, no delivery window, no confirmation it would be delivered. We chsed it up and they said they would deliver it, they gave us the window of time. They did not call half an hour prior to delivery, they just turned up. Will update when we have used the machine for a few months.

A defect out of the box, calls not returned – Harvey Norman recommended as No 2 brand. Obviously I should have read ASKO reviews. Minor defect blocking mounting screw hole. Why didn't QA pick it up? ASCO phone was initially busy. Called Harvey Norman who was to get the ASCO salesman to call me but no call back. Called ASCO and asked for escalation, then asked for CEO (denied). Promised… Read more

a call back instead of waiting on the phone but of course no call back. I expect a brand new item not to be defective out of the box and if it is I think it is reasonable to expect it to be fixed or replaced same day. Their on hold recording says "we pride ourselves on our service, we have 300 service agents ready to go". Maybe 300 is not enough to support their level of quality to even be able to return calls?

Good and bad features – Purchased this Asko model 3 months ago now. My rating is, some good features (quiet, lots of program cycles) and not so good features (post wash drying is non existent, cutlery shelf is a pain in the neck). Show details

Brand New Dishwasher Door Won't Close After Less Than 2 Weeks & Frustrating Customer Service – Had an ASKO dishwasher for 11 years and since it is getting old, I decided to buy this dishwasher as a replacement 2 weeks ago, but now its door has stopped locking, which means it is unusable. I thought ASKO, being a premium service provider, would have customer-friendly and straightforward repair services, but I couldn't have been more WRONG. … Read more

- called the service department, and they logged a job with their outsourced service technician. When I asked for an ETA, they told me they couldn't provide one and referred me to the technician. - called the service technician, who asked for the job number. I sent the job number and called again, only to be told to wait 24-48 hours for an ETA. - called ASKO again to request expedited service. They said the best they could do was switch to another service agent. This is for a dishwasher that is only two weeks old! - asked if they had a customer feedback department and was told I'd be referred to the service department. Even if you email their feedback inbox, it gets redirected to the service department. In other words, ASKO, despite being a premium brand, does not have a dedicated customer feedback department to improve their service.

Now, I'm left with a non-functional two-week-old dishwasher and am planning to lodge a complaint with Fair Trading.

Update: just received a text from the technician saying the job is booked in next Tuesday (in 6 days).

A brilliant dishwasher that is user-friendly! – I have used this dishwasher for nearly 3 weeks and love the purchase so far! I do acknowledge that I have that the duration of time of use is little. This dishwasher is silent as you do not hear it running except for when water is being drained. I love the dishwasher rack trays where it comes with 3. The topmost rack (adjustable depth) is for… Read more

cutlery and has grooves for knives. The middle rack (adjustable in depth) is for glasses and small saucers and other containers. It has space for the larger utensils and had additional grooves to hold knives. The bottom rack allows for dishes and pots to be placed. I love how the rack comes out all the way to edge of the dishwasher and can be rolled further to allow for easier reach with substances at the back. The bottom rack also comes with an optional tea spoon holder which can be fitted anywhere on the bottom rack. The bottom rack can be maneuvered to allow for pots to fit fully where the rear end of the rack can be flattened. I decided to get the model without the cutlery basket in addition to the cutlery tray. It is great that you can adjust the water level for pots to three settings. The water dispersing blades are all made of stainless steel and can be taken off if you want to have wash them making them more user friendly! It has various settings that you can adjust. I love the auto door open setting. You can also adjust the height of the dishwasher if you are tight on space to a certain extent and the dishwasher support legs are hidden behind the removable stainless steel panel.

Excellent Dishwasher – Bought this dishwasher based on recommendations from multiple sources. Was delivered on time and quickly by Asko. Is quiet & cleans dishes well. Has a great function which automatically opens when the cycle is over.
