Top user display interface poorly designed - allows water ingress into control board – 4 yr old DBI654IBXXLS $2299 09/2020 - like other users above the top display user interface board has failed. The seven buttons on the top edge of the door allow ingress of water into the contol board. With time the board and its components corrode and the system fails. Obviously if you are serious about the design of a dishwasher and provide… Read more

horizontal surface on the top of the door that has 7 penetrations then any ingress of moisture into an electrical control board would make these units not fit for purpose. For a dishwasher costing over $2000 it would be reasonable to expect it to last longer than 4 years. The replacement part is $400. Fitting takes about 10 mins but here in Australia thats going to cost $200+ for a call out. Asko if you are serious about being a provider of high quality goods then something active need to be done.

Terrible machine, constantly giving faults – When we bought our house, it had an old Asko dishwasher which worked perfectly. So when we redid our kitchen, we bought a new Asko dishwasher which was supposed to be latest. Unfortunately, it started giving issues in the first week or two itself. The local retailer E&S helped us organise a visit from the Asko technician to repair it a couple of… Read more

times. It worked okay for a few months and it died on us. We once again called the technician (this time directly) and he said the whole switch board has died and that it needed to be replaced. After that it gave a few errors every now and then F52, F54 (the codes could be incorrect, essentially the water couldn’t go through) and we had to call for the technician a few more times. This time around, it died again. We called Asko and they organised the visit and have now slapped us with the bill of 400 bucks. The issue is the same, the switch board died. It’s not fair to pay so much of money just to repair when the new dishwasher costs just north of 1000 bucks. The money needs to be refunded.

They then ordered a box full of parts and through these in and said there it is it's going again It has lasted 2 weeks and the screen has failed again!!!! Not happy Jan!!!!

Short story don't waste your money buying what use to be a good product which is now crap with useless back up service and an inflated price tag!!!!!!!

Avoid at all Costs Totally Faulty Model – Do not buy this model as it is totally faulty. Only just 4 years old and on 3rd repair. Not to mention it obviously has not been in use for that time as cannot use it for months at a time, each time this fault happens, and part needs to be ordered from ASKO as it’s Control Panel stops working. Repair person recommended by Asko says it is a common… Read more

issue. 1st repair for same fault was within the warranty period of 2 years. Same fault 12 months after that and we paid out of pocket for part and to fix and now faulty again 12 months later. This model is top of the line and worth over $2000 and ASKO now refuses to help and we actually bought this directly from them at one of their warehouse sales. We Now need to purchase a new machine. Will never buy ASKO again.

Avoid this model of Asko Dishwasher at all costs – We purchased this dishwasher in the belief that it would be as good as previous Asko dishwashers we have owned. We were wrong! New computer panel required, washer arm fell apart, rubber seals have come away from the door, numerous error codes that could only be re-set by an Asko Technician. Zero response from Asko following numerous complaints made . Save yourself the money, time and grief and buy something else.  Show details

Waste of money. Terrible quality and even worse service – I reported a fault in our dishwasher on 18 May. It is now the 14 August and I still don't have a dishwasher. It is inside the warranty period but that only makes me more cranky. I paid around $2200 for this machine and I have now been without a dishwasher for 13 weeks so far, and for 3 weeks earlier this year. A very nice man listened to my… Read more

complaints 3 weeks ago (after waiting over an hour on the phone) but I have had no follow up contact. Will be contacting the ACCC. Wish I'd bought a Miele.

Disappointed – We had them fix our control panel as the lettering all started coming off within a few months. They repaired the power button under warranty, but already we could see other buttons coming off. The repairman said this is normal when he repaired. The power button is coming off again a few months later, but we haven’t bothered repairing again as… Read more

we’ve concluded it’s just cheap garbage and spent the $40k or so for the rest of the kitchen appliances on Miele instead. Disappointing for a product which otherwise seems good. When you spend $2000 on a dishwasher you expect the text and icons on the buttons might rub off in a few years, but not in a few months.

Look no further!! – I am SO happy with my ASKO dishwasher! Its wash cycles are pristine! So good in fact that I started washing everything in my cupboards just so it all came up sparking too. The install was a bit tricky and took quite a while to get it right but the finish product is so neat and sturdy. I love that there is no buttons on the front with 4 kids in the house, its easy to keep clean and looks great! I really hope it lasts a long time. Show details

why did I buy it? – From purchase to delivery aindinstallationm was less than 36 hours, (whereas to have the old Asko Professional services was more than a week and who know how long to get a quote for the repairs)..So I purchased a new one, installation was painless, quick and friendly and on time (unusual for tradies but well done) and then we ran it to wash the… Read more
