what a piece of s..t – I bought this product from Bing Lee It never worked from day one as the thing was faulty The service from Asko was abysmal and their service providers the worst i have ever encountered - someone called Marion from their parts department deserves a special mention for lack or customer service I have tried to get a replacement or a refund to no avail I would never buy an ASKO product again

Expensive but great when it works – The ASKO drying cabinet is so much better than a tumble dryer. It allows clothes and towles, sheets etc to dry without needing any ironing in most cases. I believe it is much more economical as well. It is an expensive option however and we have had quite a few intermittent issues with the dryer shutting down due to overheating.  Show details

Waste of money – This is an awful product and a huge waste of money. My cabinet stopped working and a technician came around to repair it. He spent a few minutes looking at it, pressed a few buttons and said the control panel needed to be replaced at a cost of over $900. Do not buy this product!  Show details

Asko are a joke – (19/06/2015) I have had the Asko Drying Cabinet for about 12 months. 3 months ago it stopped working. I called Asko and they promptly sent around a technician to fix. I had to block out a 2 hour window when they would arrive which seemed reasonable. It turned out to be a faulty part and he had to order in a new one. A week later we met… Read more

again. He said another part now needs to be replaced. Asko called to set a date for their 3rd visit.

The technician never called on the day and never turned up. I rang a week later. They apologised and we set up the 3rd meeting. This time I was told the new part was faulty. He suggested they would replace the entire cabinet. I waited 2 weeks to hear from them before calling. I was told that Management had reviewed it and the part would be replaced. I suggested this was unreasonable and that the cabinet should be replaced.

I asked for management to give me a call. I waited over a week and no call. I have called again and was was told they will call. Still nothing. 3 months and the cabinet still doesn't work and its the middle of winter. Without doubt the worst after-sales service I have ever encountered. In my view Asko simply do no care about their customers.

(Update 05/07/2015)

This is my second review. See previous review by Michael. I could not get Asko to respond after repeated phone calls so it prompted me to leave the last review. Asko did respond to my last review and now they are not contacting me again. Kylie Boyd does not respond to messages I just wanted this Cabinet to work. The repair guy has been here 3 times. And now they don't care. So many months. It cost $2,000 and it is going on to my hard rubbish in 2 weeks.

Shocking! What a waste of money – 8 hours to dry some shirts!!! Never going to be using it again. And ugly to boot! This is neither energy efficient or practical. The layout inside the cupboard doesn't allow for towels, dresses, pants or anything else except for maybe socks and jocks. I guess I am going back to clothes frames under the heating ducts. The electricity from this thing will bankrupt me.

This terrible – I have had to turn the drier on repeatedly to get the clothes dry. It's hard to hang clothes and it takes forever for clothes to dry. It is very expensive and takes up a lot of room. I would recommend a regular drier rather than this drier. I regret buying this drier.

Great alternative to normal dryers – I've had my cabinet for a month now, and cross fingers, haven't had any problems like the previous reviewer said. It works very very well, as long as you get the trick of hanging the clothes inside so the airflow is not restricted and can flow around all the clothes. I find it's excellent for a normal load of clothes, particularly shirts and… Read more ·  1

t-shirts which stay nice and crease-free. I use the door hangers for my undies and small things and it does a lovely job of those.

It runs into problems when you try and overload it or stick large towels/sheets or heavy jeans in the mix because the wet things then sit and sulk no matter how long you try to dry them. But they explain this in the brochure so I'm not complaining. It's really quiet, and as long as you have good airflow to it (either a vent/exhaust or open a door) then it does the job just fine. Way better than a tumble dryer and much less expensive to run. It's saved my life on rainy weeks when I can't use the line and don't want to use the tumble dryer. Effective, cheaper to run than a tumble dryer, very quiet. nothing yet.

Great appliance but unreliable and terrible service from Asko – The only reason I am giving the drying cabinet any stars at all is because it is a fantastic alternative to a tumble dryer. It doesn't use as much electricity, doesn't crease clothes and is nice to use. This is the second cabinet I have had within warranty. The first lasted 2 months and then died. I probably had 4 visits from the serviceman… Read more

before they agreed to replace it (it intermittently completely failed). This second cabinet has made a grating noise which eventually subsides. I have probably had 5 visits from the serviceman (who did his best). They replaced the motor and it still did it. They finally agreed to replace it a second time - but said it would take 3 months to have one in the country. It was meant to be here January and I am still waiting. No communication. Nothing. Winnings have been great at chasing them on my behalf. But I am very unimpressed with both the quality of the machine and with Asko service. The functionality of the cabinet Multiple faults in 2 cabinets and poor warranty service
