Bad experience trying to get help with errors – I initially chose ASM because they explained to us at the time as well as stated on their website that "Many customers were left stranded with warranty claims as the solar companies they hired didn't support them post-installation. These companies either went out of business or simply neglected their customers once they were paid. We received numerous calls from dissatisfied customers facing issues with their solar systems, unable to reach their original providers. To counter this, we, as installers, decided to step in and offer a solution. Our goal is to protect customers from unscrupulous solar companies and uphold the reputation of the solar industry."
I had my system installed in October 2014, it worked well beside having to replace the inverter once. However in October 2024 I started to get frequent Low Riso errors. Errors after 10 years are to be expected so this did not bother me, I contacted ASM solar by email explaining the issue and asked if I could get someone out to take a look at the system (I was more than happy to pay to have them come out and fix the issue if that was needed, was not expecting them to do anything for free). After a few days they said to send my address which I did. I never heard back from them despite following up again via email.
I then decided to call the number on the website, someone answered and said this isn't something they can help with as they had just started with the company, they gave me a phone number for someone else to call. I then had to call this other number, they answered and I explained the situation, they said it sounds like I need a new system and to text my details, I then never heard back from them.
The customer service was extremely poor, I was doing all the work trying to follow up and calling them and no-one seemed interested in helping me. I would have liked to try and get the error fixed with my original installer but now I am left in the position they said they were trying prevent, back at square one trying to find an alternate installer to help me fix this problem.

Glad I chose ASM – just like most people, i did my research. called up multiple companies, etc etc. I did this over the course of 18 months and each time i came close to making a decision something would turn me off and I’d stop. Enter Yavar and ASM Solar. These guys were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I just wish all trades people were as professional and courteous as there were. For each question that I had, they found an answer and for each issue that i had, they found a solution. Yes, you can go with the big companies with large advertising costs and "ambassadors" who will provide you with the cheap/generic brands or you can support someone that owns their own business and takes pride in what they do. My system has only been commissioned for a few days now and even in winter, I’m seeing the savings comes through.
Really happy with this company – From the first time I spoke to Pedro and Yaver on the phone, they were always lovely to deal with, came up with a great way of getting us the best possible system for what is a quite complex roof that made far from a simple, straight-forward installation. Had the system installed a week after agreeing to the quote. Did everything they said they would do. Followed up with our electricity company to help out with getting all the connection done quickly. Always friendly to deal with, and is a local small business (in Blacktown), and we are always fans of supporting small local businesses, so that was an extra bonus. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.
Very happy customer – I had Yav and the boys install my 6.6 kw system 6 months ago and was very impressed by there service. Great after service communicationas well and what got us over the line to invest with these guys was there 2 year Service and clean promotion, plus there lifetime warranty on labour . I recommend ASM to anyone who wants a great price good products which was the Solax / Canadian panel system . We have already seen a huge reduction in our power bills Very happy Ronald Campbelltown NSW
