front. For male use with seat up it is guaranteed to splash. The plastic toilet seat is noticeably shorter than the Caroma seat it replaces. Finally the leg adjustment. Curiously only one of the 4 legs has fine adjustment (13 holes vs. 7). This rules out adjusting for a slight forward tilt. An 'Over the Toilet Aid' should make toilet use easier - not introduce new frustrations. Gave it 3 stars but can't recommend it.
