My Experience with the ROG Phone: Fun but Frustrating – -Amazing display quality. -Even better if you are mobile gaming. -lots of features like a mini pc. -Very fast when switching between different apps. -camera is good. -Price is really resonable but make sure you search for the lowest price on online websites as local store have higher price tag. -Value for money. -I charge it only once in the… Read more
morning and never have to worry about charging it again during anytime of the day, still have like 30%-40% battery left till next morning.(my spotify is on non stop and i contantly check my phone). -As i've been a long time iphone user, this is only my 3rd week with this phone and I'm really happy with the overall performance, at the moment, it feels like once you go with ROG phone you'll never go back. -I will be updating this review in a year as a long-term ownership review.
2025 Update:After using this phone for about four years, I recently purchased a Samsung S24 Ultra about six months ago. The ROG was fun to use, but it had several issues, including:
1. If you accidentally called someone on Facebook Messenger, Viber, Instagram, or any other app, you couldn’t cancel the call from your side. The call could only be canceled by the other person, and the only way to stop it was to forcefully restart the phone, which was very annoying. 2. I use GPS navigation a lot while driving in unfamiliar places, but later on, the GPS stopped working. It would display “GPS not found” and stay stuck on “Searching for GPS,” making navigation apps like Google Maps unusable. 3. In its final year of use, the phone started freezing randomly and had to be manually restarted. This happened frequently, making it frustrating to use.
I did change the back panel of the phone 3 times by purchasing the replacement panel from aliexpress for about $30 Aud and it cracked again' so I just taped it. If ASUS had rectified these issues, I would still be using the ROG.
