Asus routers: Trouble free networking – Every Asus router has been a great experience and this one is no exception. People don't realise how good Asus routers are until they own one. Pro's Asus continuously update the firmware so if there's a bug it soon gets fixed. -8 LAN ports: ideal for anyone with more than 4 ethernet devices -Wifi 6 (AX) connectivity -Exceptional range: We can… Read more

see the router 72 metres away at a friends place going through multiple walls and 2 other houses -Surprisingly fast wifi 5 speeds close to the router i.e. >350 Mb/s Chromecast/Google streamer -Reasonable speeds when a further away e.g. ~60 Mb/s on Wifi 5 ~20 m away, at the far end of a garage at the far end of the property, going through brick walls, tin roof, filing cabinets, etc... -Lots of features e.g. Mesh & ability to pass through multiple IP addresses (we run 2 VOIP lines Optus & Vonex) -Rock solid reliability: Zero crashes. No need to regularly reboot. -Good longevity (never had a router fail) -Works straight out of the box -Passing through IP addresses is fairly easy -Advanced settings are fairly easy to find, use and access -User friendly graphical interface

Con's -Wifi 6 (Wifi 7 would be nice) -1 Gb/s ethernet: If you have Gigabit internet or move data around at high speeds this may be too slow

Bought this router for $350 (1 year old)... it was $516 new. Overall a great purchase

Powerful and Stable – I have been using this router last two years. NO issues at all. Very powerful and stable router. WiFi-6 (802.11ax) standard. I have used this router with Telstra 5G Modem and NBN. Excellent connection speed. This router supports VPN configuration. "ASUS Router" mobile app is very useful app to set up router and do the other set ups such as WiFI names, VPN....etc I always trust ASUS brand for product quality and firmware updates. Show details

Made a big difference! – I knew this would be a good router as I was upgrading from an older version of it that was 5 years old and turning off on its own. We have fixed Wireless internet and I knew it would make that any better but the stability and range we get with this new router is fantastic. With our old modem down one end of the house where my computer is I… Read more

would get drop outs from the old modem and only 2 bars max of WiFi strength. With this new modem I have full WiFi strength consistently:

My boys who play some games online pn Xbox tell me that the stability is much better snd they can stream their olay to a device with no issues which they couldn’t do before:

Very happy with this router. Now just need better internet from the nbn.

This router is powerful – The Asus AX88U AX6000 is a fantastic router, wifi6, 6 LAN ports and wow distance is brilliant. Though I have not tried all the functions as just being a regular user, its more than capable of meeting a persons needs. I bought this 12mths ago from Harvey Norman - very pricey router but well worth it, as the distance is vast, it also allows you to… Read more

mesh together other asus routers so you can eliminate any spots you fail to get reception, however saying this the distance is great and conclude that unless you have a huge home, I doubt you would need to mesh together - *maybe if you are gaming would be appropriate to get maxi speeds. This is a gigabit router, so the speeds are fantastic especially being WIFI6 To declare speeds over wireless connection - ok, so I am transferring files from 1 pc to another - 1 PC being connected to ethernet and the other is wireless (not WIFI6 though) - the speeds I am getting during transfer is 11MBs which equates to around a 100MBs or just over wireless speed connection (this is not with a wifi6 device). My S10 is WIFI 6 and wow im in the backyard a huge distance from the router and do good speed - would have to go and do it now to refresh my memory

The Asus router comes with multiple plugs - which I though wow, as power plugs for different countries are supplied in the box and the actual router does look stylish - As I stated had it for 12mths and not one single time have I experienced drop out, so its reliable, wish i could say the same about the ISP lol

The display lights are good, they are not over bright - as have this in my room and they do not hinder sleep

There is an app (like everything these days) where you can access the routers configuration, or you have an IP address to access it through a web browser. You can port forward in getting better performance with your games or media streaming and its generally an overall good product - i am rating it as the best router I have had

Top Tier Router, Top Tier Price – Short of it: Expensive Physically Larger than most Routers 10 Ethernet Ports VERY Long Wifi Range 20m through walls User Interface is Friendly and Easy to use Can handle higher than NBN speeds Has a Dedicated "gaming devices" option. Long of it: After attempting to use a D-Link Viper 2600 which resulted in poor signal to the master bedroom… Read more

appox. 10m at the other end of the house i decided to go for one of the highest rated routers on the market.

Wifi range is beyond exceptional, where i was getting 2 bars previously i now get full speed and where i didn't get any signal i now get 2 or 3 bars.

Comes in sexy Matte Black and Gloss Gold Accents, looks as expensive as it costs. 10 Ethernet Ports make sure i don't need to waste money on an extra switch. The User Interface is much easier to understand and use than any of the other routers i've had to deal with in the past and gets an instant reccomend from me.

Support for 160MHz, MU-MIMO were the deciding factors for me. Would recommend for anyone with a large household or one with many devices.

Excellent router but overpriced – My five year old ASUS router was struggling a little with 40+ smart devices, 4 servers and three laptops. The smart devices in the house suffered from intermittent lag and I felt it was time for an upgrade. After much research I decided on the ASUS RT-AX88U, mainly because of it's "wi-fi 6" support which will become the new standard soon and gives… Read more

it a degree of futureproofness. As I was already familiar with ASUS's setup procedure, it was easy to get it up and running. I'm pretty impresssed with the performance so far. The 5GHz band is about 4 times faster despite being 9m from the router through three walls. The great performance does come at a cost though. This is no bargain basement device, but overall I'm pleased with the purchase because it does what is claimed.

Easy Setup and Coverage is great – I live in a full brick house and my old n-router did not have enough strength to get coverage in the whole house. The 2.4 ghz signal strength in the Asus router is quite good to get coverage everywhere in the house. Internet download and upload speed still the same as expected. Like the 8 LAN ports which got rid of a 5 port switch I had. Show details

Easy to use and Fast – Have had this router for about five weeks. It's extremely quick, I get the same internet speed on my WIFI 6 compatible devices as I do when using a wired connection to the router. The built in software is feature rich, allowing me to tailor my bandwidth allocation to all the wireless devices and it seems to have a great range on it. I haven't had… Read more
