The Asus TUF A15 is a fast machine, the one I got was the Ryzen 7 4800H with GTX 1650 Ti with 16 GB ram, and I'm telling I could play any game with fps going off the charts such as GTA 5, RDDR2, Watch dogs legion and my all time favorite Cyber Punk! The keyboard is to die for, and the spacing is on point on this laptop. The fan noise is incredibly quiet despite what other reviewers say (Even my acer aspire was noisier). I highly love the 144hz display too!!

The only downside I have with this laptop would be that the battery is only 48WH (I can't find any in stock for the 90WH). Normal browsing would do me about 3 hours, and gaming for about 2, however not really that bad as this is supposed to be for gaming so you should already have a power plug nearby.

Overall I give this laptop a 10/10, this laptop is perfect for any gamer! I wouldn't recommend this for normal/light users though, great job Asus!!

Excellent Value – I bought the Asus TUF Gaming A15 FA506II from Harvey Norman. very off putting. But the GTX1650ti can run even AAA games on fairly high settings. It's power consumption is low and even the AMD R7 processor in the Asus features the brilliant inbuilt Vega graphics! I liked the cleaner look of the Nitro 5, but the build quality of the Asus is way better than the Nitro 5. My 21 year old son was with me during the purchase. He's an avid gamer and he persuaded me to get the Asus TUF for the better build quality, better screen and superior processor. He said the GTX1650ti GPU was fine. When I got the Asus home I wasn't too impressed with the pulsating RGB keyboard which was very distracting when I was trying to set it up. But once setup, I quickly found a nice static keyboard colour and now I'm happy. I didn't like the look of the textured palm rest, but now I'm a fan - the textured surface is very hard wearing and it doesn't show fingerprints. In general use the Asus is lightening fast. The screen is excellent and the R7 processor is absolutely awesome. This machine is way faster than the older Alienware it replaced. Asus are giving me a free gift to post this review. I wasn't going to bother. But after getting this beast home, and thinking about how hard it was for me to wade through the negativity, I just had to post this review. I've had the Asus for a few days now. It does everything I want with blinding speed and no issues. I've played SIMS 4, the HD edition of Age of Empires, plus several First Person Shooter titles on high settings. It can do general home computer stuff as well! The screen's response is excellent and I've had no over heating issues. Forget the negative press who just want you to buy a different product. Just buy this machine. You won't be happier.

remove the screws from the bottom of the laptop and allow you to use a third party nvme ssd and also install a 2.5 laptop hdd. I installed 32gb of memory and installed a 1tm nvme ssd along with a 4tb 2.5 hdd before the system was even turned on or setup.

overall impressions I am very happy with the end product I put the laptop through a cinebench R20 test and ran it at the same time of my flatmates ACER NITRO with an intel I7 this being a ryzen 5 I thought it wouldn't live up to the Nitro. The Ryzen 5 blitz the NITRO, I have been a intel boy from the very begining but after the seeing the ability of the Ryzen ability to multi task, I am now an AMD fan boy

Congrats to ASUS for building an entry level laptop with the ease of upgrading you dont even have to be tech savvy ASUS provide you with a step by step guide to do your own upgrade.

I dare anyone to buy one you wont be disappointed.

Excellent value for money – Good value for the price - powerful processor and graphics card - plenty of RAM (16GB) and 512 GB SSD Should be super speedy. Nice Little pocket rocket! – The design of the laptop is modern and sleek, the performance of the laptop is great for the price. A room for improvement for asus, would be to make it more transparent with regards to McCafee antivirus, as I have never wanted that product and had to remove it manually after installation. Desktop like performance in small size – I needed something with power to be usable when away from home & not wanting to break the bank. My last laptop with dedicated graphics weighed about 5kg and went like a jet engine, but this is small, slim and quiet. easy to use, is a good size and very affordable for the amazing offering of the high end Ryzen 7 WITH 8 cores... BOOM! I feel like I'm going to have a very long relationship with this laptop. Bonus is the rainbow backlit keyboard so I can now sit in the dark to work AND binge.

Well equipped, value for money – This Asus laptop is very fast on start-up and maintains its speed with multiple programs running. I found video editing and game play were easily handled by this machine. Even using my HTC Vive VR headset, the Asus did not overheat and remained responsive to the program. Got me back on track! – Got this to replace an old laptop that kept freezing when working from home during lock down and wouldn't run Zwift without dropping out. So far it has made work easier and I've faced no issues running Zwift, so I'm getting fitter. One frustrating thing is I can't seem to figure out how to get the hotkeys (i.e. volume up) to work without holding down the fn key as well. Show details
