My partner purchased this item either 2 years ago, or maybe 3 years ago? It has not had much use, and has been stationary and hardly moved (despite being on the retailers DJ section). I went to play a record on it 2 days ago, and it was dead. The PSU is okay, as it registers 12.2V on my multimeter. If this was a $99 turntable, I would expect this to only last 2 years, maybe 5? I contacted Musos Corner, who I have been dealing with for 39 years, and they said it only has a 12 month warranty, and to contact a repairer. Very disappointing, so now I will need to exercise Consumer Gurantee under ACL/ACCC to have this sorted. Now I just might buy an Aldi turntable, when it comes on special, instead of us spending $600 on a reputable turntable.

Purchased in at Musos Corner for $560.

Update - Musos Corner said the matter is outside their control, and the distributor TAG is responsible for any solution, which is understandable. Response from TAG is they will evaluate at no charge, but we have to pay for repair as well as transit cost. This is unacceptable, and is now an ACCC matter.

Please note the unit has been moved slightly, as I was evaluating the PSU connection to the turntable.

The item is now a Fair Trading matter, due to TAG. I have since bought a Denon Turntable.

I don't know why this is rated so well – Firstly audio technica make stylus and that's it, the turntables come out of china and audio technica have nothing to do with them apart from the badge I found it a very Tinny build personally and the stylus that comes with is is bottom of the barrel and that is been generous. You can swap out the cartridge and get a much better sound for example I bought a audio technica VM 540 cartridge and stylus , that then makes it a 900 to 1000 turntable which it is not, I sold mine, there are a lot of other options out there. The USB recording with packaged stylus vs the one I bought is night and day and I think for this price point they could have included better software than audacity, whilst it works, there are a lot more simpler programs out there with basic good features. It will serve you well but you will need upgrades to make it sound like it should, and I personally was not sold on the feet damping

Great value for money turntable – A little difficult to put together but looks and sounds awesome. Compliments the rest of the sound system. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend to anyone wanting to update their turntable.
