Audio Technica ATH-AD700

Best headphones for the price at time of purchase – Bought these open headphones about a decade ago, and they were easily the best value-for-money cans you could buy at the time. Awesome highs/mids, really great soundstage, etc. Only minor fault I could pick with them was the slightly underpowered bass, but otherwise they are incredible. Very durable as well, as they still work 100% today.

Great Value and great sound for the cost! – I bought this because it is great for music and gaming. I also have the Philips Fidelio which costs 2-3x more but also highly recommended. For the cost, the AD700 is unbeatable. It sounds great, it's comfortable and it's relatively inexpensive.
Excellent value – Wow. I found them incredibly comfortable and could be worn for hours. Also they are very affordable, easy to drive and they sound great with decent source material? They will reveal that your 64kbs MP3 files sound like trash. I've read reviews saying they are bass shy but they have heaps of bass. Added bonus they're a good looking headphone. There are headphones that sound better but not this side of $250. You got it!
