Too expensive for what it does
It's $500 au on sale $350 after using it I would say it worth not more than $130 music sound is average, at high volume sound quality drops massively, talking sound is horrible, people have difficulty hearing me and there are constant disconnection Bluetooth is an serious issue with it ,overall I would say $130 would be reasonable but original price is way to high for this product Show detailsvery comfortable for people who wear glasses
It is not cheap lest put it this way. But once you have experienced the beauty of this headphone you don't want to try other headphones in the market.I have the momentum 1, 2 and wireless.
This one is the best so far. IT has the best size ear padding (although I am abit worry as the ear paddings are stitched around; it might worn off soon or later) - not sure if this is original leather or not.
you can fold it
it comes with a hard case carrier
the design is so coooooolllll!
This is 'truly' over the ear. it fits my ears perfectly!

no peeling off problem (my momentum 1 ear padding start to peel off) in terms of audio quality with m1. i think this is on par, you won't be able to differentiate if you 'do a blind test' BIGGEST pro: I have been looking for headphones that is comfortable for me to use for hours. and this is the one! I wear glasses so other headphones kill me slowly by pressing my ear area, but this one doesn't give you that problem cons: hefty price tag, it is worth it though only comes with 1 cable (momentum 1 comes with 2 cables, one with microphone and one doesn't have microphone) limited colour choicesLovely!
Great in every way, most importantly they sound great, light and airy with a big sound stage, they're light and comfortable, they are well designed and they are made from quality materials. You can't go wrong with these classic headphones. They were on sale at JB Hi Fi for $149..what a bargain!Show details
Superb, classic Sennheiser sound
I bought these to replace an original pair of Momentum's (model 1) over-ear, so I have been able to compare them back to back.About the only fault with the originals was that they were a little small for over ear headphones, which made them somewhat uncomfortable.
This new model is slightly bigger - just enough to properly fit over you ear, which makes them much more comfortable. They are just as well made and have the added bonus of being foldable.
Although Sennheiser don't quote any changes to the drivers they do seem to sound a little brighter, with slightly more upper-mid and treble response.
Overall the sound is rich and smooth with plenty of bass oomph - typical Sennheiser really.
Thoroughly recommended.

One of the best sub $300 headphones money can buy
For $300 and less if you find them on discount, you won't regret buying the gorgeous Momentum 2.0's.## Design
I got the all black with comfortable cloth ear pieces. The design is unique in that old school kind of way and set's it apart without being ostentatious. The stitched headband combined with the metalic arms that hold the ear cups are gorgeous. These ear cups also fold away for easy packing in the supplied case. The headphones are light and comfortable on the top of your head with the only downside being the on ear cups. Their clo... Read more
th pads don't do a very good job of padding your ears causing quite a bit of discomfort on your ears after a few hours of constant use. They come with a generous cable with 3.5mm headphone connector that you won't be able to use with current iPhones and premium Androids. ## Sound The Momentums have a wide soundstage with a warm sound. The range is phenomenal, easily handling the lowest of bass to high tones. I've used these to listen to a wide varieties of musical genres from classical music, rock, hip-hop, podcasts, games and movies and I've never been disappointed. When comparing to Bose QC, i've found the Momentums much more pleasant sounding and often picking up sound ranges I didn't know were there. The bass isn't overwhelming like some Beats headphones. Noise cancellation isn't the best but sufficient with the right volume. I have no problem using these in noisy enviroments. There is a bit of sound leakage so at louder volumes, people close to you will be able to hear some of what you are listening to. ## Durability The Momentums have held up very well over the last two years. I only have a slight bit of peeling on one side of the headband. My 3.5mm connector also got slightly damaged when my 2 year old tipped over my laptop. I need to fiddle with it to get the full sound output. A replacement from Sennheiser costs $50. ## Conclusion With a gorgeous design, large sound stage and fantastic range, everything from sharp highs to thumping bass gets delivered excellently, these headphones deliver above and beyond and are a great buy.Sound quality is where it’s at
Man I did a lot of research on this one. These phones are the best bang for buck if true sound quality is what you’re after in this space. Tried the bose QC’s and was dissapointed. Base was muddy though admittedly noise cancellation was better, almost eery and disconnected to your environment. The sennheisers are more of a sound-quality-first option. Comfortable, look cool. Do it.Show details
Comfortable for long periods, good quality for portable headphones
Although the price tag is comparable to Bose Quietcomforts, these headphones are great if you’re mainly listening to music in quiet environments. Since I mostly listen to mine in the uni library they’re perfect for the low noise level. The soundstage is quite wide, with a very warm sounding bass making it perfect for jazz or hip hop music. The highs are a tad veiled so it isn’t ideal for orchestral scores, instrumentals or soundtracks, but this is really just nitpicking.
Overall it’s a good pair of headphones and worth it if you can find them on sale.

good sound and good quality
It doesn't need a amplifier and smartphone is able to drive it, and its sound it still good. The frame is made of leather and steel, durable enough. The cable is replaceable. However, there is just one cable in the package, while the previous version has two... anyway, still a good oneShow details
Superb
One of the best sound quality headphones I have ever used, great quality leather. Soft to touch and very comfortable. was scared to take it out where I live. I don't think I could ever live without the quality product. 10/10 for the price and would recommend them to anyoneShow details
Fantastic look and design, good-quality sound
I use these daily on my commute / occasionally at work.Great look and very comfortable; the folding feature is not a gimmick, keeps the headphones compact and protected when traveling in my bag.
The cord/plug got damaged due to my own fault, easy to find a replacement online and install.
Sound quality is above average - I'm not hugely discerning but a little weak on the low-range, though better than any non-studio pair I've ever tried.
Top-quality product overall, including the price point.

Second pair after losing first
Left my first pair on a train (nightmare) so went straight out and got another pair. Really great and not a terrible prive point. Up there as one of the most comfortable headphones I've owned and great sound quality. A must for if you are travelling and need to hear the sound.Show details
Twice a day, 5 days a week
Outstanding comfort and quality in the Sennheiser Momentum 2 over ear headphones. I use mine for an hour a day, 5 days a week while walking to/from work and after 12 months still love them. Sound quality is exceptional - often like the concert is between my ears and the soft leather is extremely comfortable. They've handled the wear really well and remain in as new condition. Pricey but worth the spend.Show details
Nice and comfortable product, the retail price is a bit too high though
The Sennheiser Momentum 2 on ear headphones are the most comfortable on ear headphones I have tried so far, in comparison to Bose, beats, Yamaha, Sony.... And the sound quality is good, but don't expect a wonder sound, as they are just 40mm drivers. Their set IQ is great for casual music listening, though for the retail price, there might be some other options that are better in sound quality, but not in the fashion and compatibility.I bought this pair on the cheap with a factory cashback offer, for which I only paid $84 (after $75 cashbac... k), which was a great offer. And I would say buy it when less than $130, their values are just about that, anything more would purely be brand equity! If however, you don't mind some non-fashion headphone designs, instead, are looking for sound quality on the cheap, then, Kingston HyperX Cloud Core would be a really good choice at $50-60 retail price (MSY) with 50mm drivers, though no in-line controls...Classy and fits my ears!
I naturally have large ears and was disappointed with the 1st generation headphones, so when a second generation had better ear cups I jumped at the opportunity and am very happy I did since these fit my ears perfectly but the only problem is the same as the original the lack of bass is a bit of a downerShow details
