Audio Technica dead phones – The Audio Technica ATH M20x are in my opinion an over rated piece of junk. When I first put them on, my ears hurt from pressing on the speakers inside the pads. I must have developed callouses on my ears which stopped hurting after a few weeks. My headphones came with a 3.5 jack input so I could plug them in (which I prefer over Bluetooth) The… Read more
problem with the jack input was that it did not seat the plug properly which kept falling out at the slightest movement. The sound quality was average to say the least and it puzzles me why they got such a glowing review on product review. The only reason I bought them in the first place was that I had a cash flow problem at the time and as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for but in the case of the M20x headphones, you get a lot less than what you pay for. After a few weeks, I noticed the covering on the ear pads started peeling off. I contacted Audio Technica with a photo of the earpads and was told they would not replace them unless I supplied a receipt. Here is a company that does not live up to its reputation asking me for proof of purchase for an inferior quality product. For example another company I supplied a photo of a faulty audio cable to, promptly mailed a replacement of the defective part at their expense without asking for proof of purchase. I will now avoid buying any Audio Technica products in the future. My suggestion is to pay a bit more for headphones like JBL which are very superior quality.
The best budget headphones for recording – I already own 2 high-end bluetooth headphones and AirPods. The problem with the headphones I've got is that the sound is enhanced so when I try to record some songs I'd get a very good quality while using the same headphones for listening only to find out other people hears rubbish! I was looking for a budget-friendly flat-sounding reference… Read more
headphones and this one didn't disappoint! It's also light and a lot comfortable compared to other headphones I use. I bought the 1.2M version so using it on my phone isn't a hassle. If you need a cheap, good-quality headphones, look no further and get the M20x. It's also great for gaming (I plug it in to my Xbox controller). Best of all, if it breaks, I won't feel that bad at all considering the price. Two thumbs up!
Good for its price – Using it with electronic drum kit. The sound is good enough as a monitor headphones. Sound is pretty average when using it to listen to music from e.g. an iPhone. Ear cups get warm pretty quickly.
Awesome! – I just recently bought the headset. The price won me over, as I am rough on head phones I believe the price is idea for me. I had expected for the price was more than I expected! The sound quality is brilliant for my usage. I am a uni student studying from home, I needed a decent headset that is a reasonable price. The best part I like about the… Read more
headphones, is that I cannot hear my daughters weiro ( cockatiel) whom knows when I am about to study and arcs up! A real noise maker! The only issue I have is that headset has a 1 metre cord, I find the cord not long enough. Beggars cannot be choosers. Over all I am happy with what I paid for!
Great headphone in radio studio – I have been using the same set of cans (headphones) for the past 6-7 years and they are excellent. I wouldnt use anything different..... I use them in the station studio and I have used them in past radio station studios. The 6.5mm plug suits 99% of all radio station studios. Why use something else when these headphones are great, they are comfortable and do the job extremely well
Great headphones with some minor downsides – The sound quality that these headphones provides is pretty top notch, I cannot fault them in that regard at all. I use these headphones for hours at a time, and my ears can get a little sore as well as a little hot. Also the cord is way too long (3m) and can get tangled on my chair a little too easily, dont see why anyone would need such a long cord for headphones. Show details
Great value for money - works well – I bought these headphones as I didn't want on-ear headphones and instead wanted something that would envelope my ears. These headphones are wired and are great value for money. I use them every day en route to work and also while I'm at work. As they're over the ear headphones, I wouldn't use them for physical activity, since they get a bit… Read more
sweaty. In fact, as it's summer, they already get a bit hot. However, this is to be expected since they cover your whole ear.
In terms of the volume of the headphones, they're decent quality. I don't really focus on sound quality. As long as I can hear the podcast/music/video that I want to listen to, I'm quite happy.
They're also quite comfortable, they aren't overly tight, nor are they loose. I've had them for about a month now, and they're still working quite well. They're also light weight enough so that I can quickly pack them into my bag if I'm on the go.
If you want a good cheap pair of over the ear headphones, these would be a good option for you.
Brilliant headphones – We just got these this week, They are really comfortable and give excellent noise isolation and a remarkable sound reproduction for such fairly priced headphones. They have been worn every evening since we received them and its rare to be completely happy with a product but I am with these, The only improvement I can think of is a less bulky head strap but overall very impressed. Excellent budget headphones – The sound on these headphones are excellent considering the price point. I use these to listen to music and watch movies on my laptop and clarity on these headphones are superb. It is not too bass heavy like Beats headphones which can give it a bit of a flat sound but that is something I prefer. The only downside is that the cable is rather long and cannot be adjusted to a shorter cable. Show details
Superb sound, comfort, convenience – As the tile goes above. Sound is sufficient, in fact, awesome, for basic to mediocre level use. Comfy to the ear. Plug and go, no issue, even for mac users. Prefer this to wireless one just so i don't have to charge. :P Show details
