which is understandable due to the large distance being travelled, is that you have to figure out what to do for two weeks without furniture, because despite their best efforts to give you accurate pick up and drop off dates, it’s still doesn’t address your personal need for a place to stay and furniture/bedding in the meantime whilst you wait for your POD to arrive at your destination. Bear in mind, this was for Brisbane to Adelaide, quite a far interstate move. It may be a shorter wait time for short distances. Long story short, I would definitely recommend PODS, The only issue you need to figure out is whether or not you should book an Airbnb/hotel/stay with family/friends in the interim! Oh, almost forgot to mention, the cost saving that you get. I imagine is because they don’t help you load or secure the stuff in the pod at all. So make sure you have some muscle/elbow grease/friends/family ready to help you pack heavy stuff like fridges and couches, etc.
The rip off merchants – They have to be the most arrogant people around to be charged a drop of and then collect the pod not just once but twice and it's almost $500 for them to come and drop off a pod then collect the pod and take it back to there depo and then charge you $315 a mth then charge you to drop off the pod at your new place and then collect a empty pod so… Read more
each time was $130 so 4 times that and then try and ring them was on hold for an hour one time waiting theses people are just rip off merchants was told I would get a refund as I had collected the pod early but to be told that went to pay for them dropping the pod off People don't use them
Currently waiting for resolution – Auspods was smooth to begin with and was very happy with the service Then we had dramas (incorrect funds being taken, incorrect town for redelivery) I am currently waiting for this to resolved
Convenient storage terrible delivery times – Great advantage for storage but ridiculously frustrating with pick up & deliveries. Absolutely no flexibility they make soooo many trips cause they can’t shuffle pick up & deliveries at the same time. Can wait weeks to get your things.
Started off well, drop off has been a horrible experience – At the start it was amazing, booked with [Name Removed] and had no problems, the driver who dropped to the house being packed up was great and really accommodating. it on the 11th at my new property, they didn’t have an availability until the 17th so booked it and collected today (the 21st) they didn’t tell me I’d be charged, they charged me an extra MONTH of hiring fees. When the pod was dropped off they dropped it so the door was facing the FENCE not out towards the door of the property, the pod has not been collected on the date expected to be collected so I am not inconveniencing the neighbours and have been told I will have to pay half a month of hire because THEY didn’t have a driver available even when given the timeframe….
Really disappointing service, they have their money so they don’t care.
Dangerous to use – We were assured by the sales staff that our pod would fit our 3 bed house needs and a backup plan should it not fit was never discussed. a disaster. The stress we experienced motivates me to write this review and warn off others. For some people these pods may work but be very careful and don't trust the sales staff. They don't care about your situation and did nothing to help us out after they listened to our recorded phone call (we weren't told it was recorded) and realised they had misled us. They offered $50 off the normal price of $2500 to get a second pod. Are you kidding me?!
Stay in terms or Beware – Unethical company BEWARE Sold goods as we were late to pay fees no communication of intention to sell. Happily took payment of $2000 so we could pick up belongings, once payment approved we were told it had all been sold. No compassion no care factor. Criminals
Fantastic Service – I’m so impressed with the service received , all of the staff I spoke to and dealt with have been great! I’ve used storage facilities in the past and none compare to PODS. The entire contents of my 3bed home was in storage for 3 months, the POD was returned to me last week and everything was just as it was when I packed it away. Thank you! Show reply
Great Service! – Did a home renovation, so needed to clear out the furniture for a couple of months. Easy to have a Pod dropped off at your home, pack it, and then let them take it away for storage. remember, once you've packed it and the container is taken away, you need to understand you're not going to see your items until you get your Pod delivered back to you. Great service!
Perfect Pod Performance – The move went tremendous. It was a case of a large sized pod being used to hold some furniture whilst renovations occurred over a 3 month period. The goods were held at the pod yard during the duration. The guys picked up on time we had constraints being in a body corporate situation and that was considered and catered for by PODS Show reply

The POD was ideal for our type of move – The POD was used to move and store the large / heavy items of furniture. The move was short term (one week), the POD allowed us to be prepared for settlement on our old property and to be ready to move the furniture into the new property on its settlement - both properties settled on the same day. for us was reduced. The POD staff were excellent, the POD arrived at both properties as arranged and was picked up as arranged. We were aware that we packed the POD, however the POD were professional in their duties and appeared to treat the POD as if it contained their property.
THe POD was very handy – The POD was handy to move all the big and heavy furniture into. I found it saved me time as I did not need to keep on moving the furniture back and forth. It was easy accessible as I had the POD in my driveway all the way through. I strongly recommend getting a POD it is like having a extra space.
