Same thing is happening to me ever since they started this OPT number via email. Sometimes it works and I receive the code but most of the time it doesn't and it is starting to get annoying. I rang someone at Card Services 3 weeks ago and they were going to look into it but it hasn't been fixed.

I had a few payments declined at Amazon a month or two back so what I did was delete the card from my Amazon account and then put it back again and I've had no declined payments since. Might have had something to with the card provider changing from Heritage Bank to EML Payment Solutions a couple of years back, not sure?

The OTP that is supposed to be sent to my email address is STILL not working. I tried about 10 times at different times over the weekend and I didn't receive the 6 digit code even once. It is now 4 weeks since I spoke to someone at Card Services about this (as I'm sure MANY people have) and it was supposed to be looked into.

I think it's about time they turned this OPT thing off until they can find someone to get it to work properly.

Agreed, this has been happening to me. I have only once received the OTP (guys, one-time password, not OPT) and that was from a different browser, so I thought it could at least be fixed by using a different browser. However, that was probably just luck (hasn't worked since), so there is no way around this. The usual failing is that they drag you on their picnic, but you have to take an umbrella. When it rains, they just use the wet weather to wash their hands of the whole fiasco.

Follow up - I sent an email about this yesterday and I've had an email reply and a phone call from a helpful lady who checked and told me they know about all the issues with the 6 digit code and the technical department (or whatever they're called) is working on it. I actually managed to log in to my account 3 times during the day yesterday, the third time while I was talking to the lady on the phone so hopefully this has been fixed or close to it.

As I said in my last post - the OTP arrived 3 times on Sunday but I tried twice yesterday and again this morning and - no code sent to my email. *sigh*. I see they've turned off that 'jiggling' letters thingy which you have to type in before the OTP is supposed to be sent but that doesn't help if the OTP never arrives.

Thanks for your updates Carl D. And others. I too have had some success but random. Most times no email!! I’d rather the jiggly letters and forget the phantom email!!!!

This is now happening to me. The card has completely disappeared off the Amazon system. I went to check it as i had a declined purchase email after years of no issues. Im cutting the debit card in half. No foreign cash option for travelling and now charging an account fee. I'll find another option.

I can't do anything. I can't even login, and cannot speak to support to close the card or do anything.Basically my personal details,ID and banking details are now held hostage by nameless faces in a foreign country. Good luck. It is a disaster manifest. AVOID!

I’m experiencing the same thing,, I loaded $315 to my auspost mastercard last week Thursday and my card account is yet to be replenished. I went to the post to lodge a complaint and they told me the system is down!! For how long is this going to take is beyond my imagination. Has anyone ever experienced this??

I never used one..I only had $150 on it at a time for emergency or if left wallet at home it was always in the car,,I dont know if you can put in a pin or not,,but you can ask them...cant you?

Hi Richard, Sorry to say that the whole Post Mastercard system is broken!!! They are totally useless since the Heritage Bank backing was removed. I have tried at many different outlets to pay with the card, unsuccessfully!!! This morning I went to the post-office to try my luck there, buying stamps and taking out money. It was declined!!! EVEN AT THE POST OFFICE! I was advised to contact the customer service at 131318. I won't hold my breath.

Hi Zdena if you are talking about the security code it is found at the back but if you give the 1800 number at the back of card they are very helpful

Marian if I have an issue I ring the number at the back of the card , check the balance , then listen to commands till I can speak to an operator. They are usually pretty good. I wish you the best
