Then, earlier this month, the dreaded email arrived: a shocking and steep price increase from my provider. Feeling frustrated, my first thought was to go straight back to Automise Energy. This is where the magic happened. I ran the comparison again, and this time it found a significantly cheaper plan with my existing provider, PowerShop! The kicker? This plan wasn't advertised anywhere on PowerShop's public website. There is absolutely no way I would have found this on my own; it was a hidden gem that only Automise Energy could uncover. The process from there was unbelievably simple. The tool offered to generate an email to PowerShop with all the information needed to request the switch to the cheaper plan. I literally just had to click "Yes" and then "Send". No filling out forms, no searching for contact details, no trying to figure out what to say. About a week later, I received a call from PowerShop. They had my email and processed the switch to the new, cheaper plan right there on the phone. It was seamless. In a time of rising living costs, a tool like this is not just helpful, it's essential. It empowers you against sudden price hikes and does all the hard work to find savings you didn't even know existed. Additionally, my current plan includes a controlled load tariff that is well-suited for managing hot water systems efficiently. The new plan lacks this option, making it less adaptable to households that rely on these setups.

In my case, switching to the recommended plan would introduce significant financial risk and could ultimately result in higher electricity costs rather than savings.

Verdict: I advise others to carefully assess their usage patterns and current plan benefits before committing. What appears to be a saving may not deliver real value in the long run.
