Although I repeatedly mentioned it has never arrived, Joanna believed that she solved the case and closed the support ticket.
I got scammed by Econnex and will not trust these people again.
The offers are a complete scam, they offered a gift card for signing up and stay connected for 90 days, it’s been 5 months and I have been following up but no response in relation to proving gift card, it’s a scam and waste of time.

The company’s handling of this promotion has been misleading, inconsistent, and completely dismissive of legitimate customer circumstances. Emails contradict each other, and they show zero accountability.
If you value honesty, reliability, and actual customer service, avoid this company. Promotions like this are a trap.

I got my gift card for electricity but not for gas 3 days ago. I contacted Econnex, and the girl asked me to give her a gas invoice, which I did. She came back saying I only remained active for 28 days so I'm not eligible for the gift card. This is ridiculous. This is the only bill I've received so far. It's bizarre that she took it I cancelled my connection. Since Econnex was running a promo campaign for agl, shouldn't Econnex contact agl if I'm still connected instead of asking the customer to provide an invoice? I found this girl lacks common sense and extremely unprofessional. Econnex has a bad name on Ozbargain, and she's made it look even worse.

Very hard to actually get the giftcard unless you have a havit to search your spam mail box up side down quite regulary. Signed up a deal in May. The deal was to stay for 45 days with plan to get the giftcard, but there was no date when I was going to receive the giftcard. ish which was well over 2 months with the new plan - I sent an email to customer support to ask when would I receive the reward. They stil could not tell me when but just told me that I have to wait. I completely forgot about it afterwards. When I was searching the spam folder for something else in December, I found the giftcard email sitting in the spam folder from September. It was from a very suspicious looking email address. I would have been more concerned if the email had not been filtered as a spam. Tried to activate it with the link included which did not work because 30 day activation period passed. Contacted customer support again, and only was told that I cannot get the gift card any more because 30 day activation period was passed. I will never deal with these guys again.
Edit : After 2 support tickets - because the first ticket was already closed, customer support team had to open the second ticket - I received the giftcard in the end took more than 6 months. Everything worked out OK in the end, at the least for me.

I would very strongly NOT RECOMMEND Econnex and any associated promotions. I am in the process of moving to better plans thanks to the Energy Made Easy government website and some modelling courtesy of AI. A very easy process and saving me over $800 per year compared to the plan marketed by Econnex.
Steer clear - use the government's comparison website for gas and electricity.

They called back the next day. Actually I think I have clocked up six phone calls in two days and don't believe I am off the list yet. After informing them that I'd found a better option and which company I would be going with they then said "Well this is why we were calling today. That is exactly the offer we were going to tell you about".
While their recommendations were better than the option we currently had, quite obviously there are significant sales targets and I suspect they also have providers that are preferred due to kickbacks rather than the actual best offer for the customer.
Would highly recommend you consider whether you want to leave your details with this website. In my experience you get better outcomes without being added to some kind of sales list. Even though I had determined the best company for us I would still have been happy to let the rep get a "kickback" but it's all just way too pushy so I'll be blocking the number going forward.

Econnex appears to be a ghost company in Australia which operates via a Filipino call centre. From my experience, the call centre staff are ignorant / arrogant / untrained / unhelpful / unaware of Australian conditions. You are making money by deliberately designing a system where people miss out on vouchers through misleading sales tactics.
I don’t care if you hide behind “terms and conditions.” A one-month expiry link is nothing more than a trap as fraudulent as taking money straight from people’s pockets.
I assume most customers who use your service end up receiving nothing, because that’s exactly how your system is built — to fill your pockets while pretending to offer value. I contacted the support team and didn’t get anywhere Your customer support won’t resolve this, and I know this message will never reach the executives behind this exploitative model. But you should be ashamed of running a business built on deception.
