Another great experience with Solar Choice. The 3 options for potential solar installers was very clearly set out, with useful information on each installer - such as the number of years trading, and the number of installations. I have chosen one of the installers for a solar and battery system - Paddy was very well informed and helpful.

good quick summary of responses and providers all followed up well but none has gone in line with the quote but rather are trying to upsize or upsell alternates which gets confusing quickly

Fast response with what appears to be to great offers and very reasonable for what I would need, whether the company does it at the price here we will see. I would be very happy if it was and will have to review again if it it and I take one up.

Solar Choice gave me two options for battery installation in my locality (ACT). I was a little apprehensive that I would not be able to have the installation completed before the goverment subsidy expired. I chose Select Electrical and Solar Solutions. After contacting them the project proceeded very efficiently by very friendly staff and was… Read more

completed well before the subsidy expiry date. I cannot fault the quality of the installation and the battery is performing perfectly. Many thanks to Solar Choice for suggesting SESS for an efficient and painless installation.

My aging solar panels are needing a boost. 14 years ago, I called upon Solar Choice to assist me in separating the sheep from the goats. They were successful in finding me a quality installer, that didn't rip me off. As testament, my system is still going strong, so now I want to add more solar, incorporate a home battery, and take advantage of… Read more

the generous Gov rebates (STC's). But the internet is flooded with shonks, trying to get your money. What to do? I made the mistake of clicking a few ads on FB, YT and Insta....and was bombarded with a myriad of options that had a 24 to 48 hr deal expiry and all the cons under the sun. Don't do it!! It confused the hell out of me. I watched endless YT videos and used them to decide what I exactly wanted. Solar Quotes with Finn was very informative. I called the trusted Solar Choice in Manly, and presto, a choice of many installers, all pre-vetted, along with glowing reviews were offered to me. They asked me to define the task, and choose three installers from their list, and they would soon be in contact with me. Sure enough, within an hour of making my 3 choices, I received a lengthy quotation from each. A budget quote, a premium materials quote, and a latest tech (future-proof) quote...that's nine quotations. Each contacted me later, and requested a meeting to view the property, and see if there were any additional ad-ons required....Their quotes did not change materially. I've engaged one now, that gave me what I thought was the best combination of quality workmanship, materials, and after-sales service. Quick commissioning is also a factor. So far, so good. The market is really hotting up with the Gov offering increased battery rebates STC's), and the market telling prospective buyers to lock-in the rebate.....Whilst this is nonsense, you can trust somethings....Solar Choice is one of them.

The website is very informative. I learned a lot about solar batteries, which made me more confident about the product that I was looking for. Filling out the request form was easy, and the response was quick. I was linked with three suppliers and I am now comparing the quotes to decide which product will best suit me.

Follow-up  · After learning the basics about solar and batteries, I was confident that I could make an informed decision. I have just paid a deposit with a solar battery provider and I look forward to seeing the finished product.

We found G7 electrical who were very quick and thorough. Solar Choice helped me reduce potential installers in Hobart from 7 including ones who could not offer what we wanted down to 3 local supply and installers with competitive conditions and prices.

Follow-up  · In the month since installation we have used next to zero peak cost period power and required no further service, except to add a period of topup to the battery from low cost grid power in the early morning. It produced 20% more power than we used overall and that was in a month with more cloud than average and quite cool for an… Read more

The site directed me to 3 companies that gave me quotes. Two out of the 3 made appointments, checked the site, my power bill and provided detailed quotes and information about the product they were going to install. I used Solar Choice to rate my… Read more

battery and check its reliability. The quotes were competitive and similar to what Solar Choice predicted. I have signed an installer to complete my battery installation and feel assured that I have not been duped.

Follow-up  · I read a variety of reviews and solar choices reviews on batteries. I have signed an installer RenewCo Solar. They were the most competitive with their quote and I like the community. I liked having 3 companies compete for my business and then actually attend for a site inspection. After reviewing my bill they actually determined I needed a… Read more

All the solar providers that I chose through the Solar Choice website contacted me back to give accurate quotes. Two parts of the Solar Choice system didn't work. At the beginning of the questions I selected the option to get a price for solar panels and battery. The system only quoted solar panels. Then later i uploaded my power bill to the system but this didn't go through to the business's providing quotes.

Being new to Australia I needed to use a reputable site to compare solar companies who were accredited. I ended up with three quotes from which I was able to choose one that suited me.

Seeking three genuine quotes for replacement of existing solar system. One provider has contacted us and remains working on a quote (hopeful). A second provider made contact earlier today and cannot assist with replacement of solar panels only albeit the current inverter is more than adequate and only three years old. Wants to sell an enrite system. No other contact has been received from any potential third provider. Show details

Be careful about the companies that get recommended. My recent experience about getting a battery for my existing Solar system was horrendous. 2 out of the 3 quotes were very dodgy. Quoting with very little technical knowledge. 1 of which wouldn't do an in person quote, just a quote via phone. The next came and looked, but showed very little… Read more

practical knowledge. Both had only been operating for only 1 - 2 years... The 3rd one has been good, although very pricey. But at least they have been around for over 10 yrs and are fully engaged and have technical knowledge. All in all not a good experience. Looks like Solar quotes don't vet their suppliers. Be warned!!

I was pleased with how easy the site was to use, but I felt spammed/harassed in that all 3 of my shortlisted companies 'chased' me. I would have liked to have given explicit consent in order for these companies to contact me (to give me time to peruse their details) AND I would have preferred emails to phone calls. As it was the phone calls came… Read more

in almost immediately after shortlisting, and the callers were incessant! I wonder if Solar Choice could improve their site to prevent this 'spamming'? What made it even more frustrating was that the information I had entered to get the quotes/shortlist - apart from my phone number - hadn't been passed on! It would have been more useful for the companies trying to contact me to have that information first...

I provided a couple of quotes which included equipment types and detail on Blackout options. One of the quotes and equipment type fell into the "Not Recommended" category. The other quote and equipment type came as "Recommended" and this helped my make my decision too.

I recently used Solar Choice to learn about the pros/cons of heat pump hot water systems. A very informative non-biased site. Once I decided to go for a heat pump HWS (to replace my old gas storage heater), the next step was to decide on the size/brand and the supplier/installer. The exhaustive details available at Solar Choice site helped me to… Read more

Quite handy and helpful, despite 2 out of 3 solar provider/installer only responded. Awaiting quotes at the moment. will provide real life review based on quotation, discussions with installers, install time and quality, as well as overall cost.

Solar Choice provided two solar battery installers. I selected one and they contacted me within 24 hours. After describing my requirements over the phone they judged that my system did not export enough to warrant installing a storage battery.

Took a while to see all the features, solar, battery, size, new install etc. Once mastered it gave me the answer's I needed including explanations for different solar panels. The system showed me that getting a 33% bigger system was cost effective. Only thing missing was financing alternatives. 1 of 3 quotes called and will get the business in due course as they have the brands chosen, once new build ready for pre-wire. Show details

First I'd like to start with both very prompt with contact although neither were successful in winning my business . they were both very friendly and provided a lot of information. I probably would have chosen quality solar as he contacted me within about two hours of me making contact with website. unfortunately was not quite what I was looking for . He was extremely helpful ,friendly and local.ty Show details

Out of the three providers selected, two contacted me. The two contacted were reputable and decent. The feedback on the Solar Choice website is not really reliable. I did further research, and it seems some feedback may not be that genuine. I can't really say. Just buyer beware.

The recommendation of worthy companies produced worthwhile results. The reviews of solar products were helpful and easy to follow. Some suppliers questioned the listings of companies and products by Solar Choice suggesting that these companies paid for inclusion. Not sure how this can be uncovered or controlled.

Quick and easy to use. 2 of the 3 recommended suppliers were in touch on the same day and have given me valuable feedback and quotes. I expect to select one and go ahead with an install in the next few months
