Avada

Avada theme for Wordpress website - unregistered purchase code after four years and no assistance on offer – I have had two Wordpress websites using Avada themes since 2016 and 2017. The Avada theme on the 2017 website is now showing as unregistered since 2021!!! I hadn't been checking the theme page as I had no idea this problem could occur. It's only that other functionality has recently become affected that I noticed it (clicking everywhere trying to work out what was going on). It's a very basic website and everything was fully operational only 6 months ago. The Avada theme is supposed to be registered forevermore once you purchase it. I logged a request for assistance through some Avada contact option and am told they cannot help me unless I contact them via the website - which is impossible because the purchase code is now unregistered. I logged into my Avada account to find NEITHER purchase codes and websites were listed. Unbelievable. I uploaded them again but the site is still unregistered. What a unholy mess! I'm seriously upset that no one is assisting me. Their marketing is plain wrong - it seems I will have to pay for another purchase code for the website or some kind of support (not clear what) as the original purchase is an obvious dud. Buyer beware. Avada can go horribly wrong no matter what they promise you and you will have to pay again to get it sorted. The only other option seems to be to rebuild the website using another (hopefully more reliable) theme. Absolutely painful that the older website is fine but this later one has come to grief.
