brand new company and the level of support I was getting meant I must be one of the first clients to sign up (perhaps the first). That’s the way it felt. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything went seamlessly. The speed of the site and emails is amazing. And great value for money (much, much better than CD). It turns out they’ve been going for more than 10 years. That made it more amazing. I was so impressed a promised this review. A month later and I’m still impressed and decided I had to make good on that promise.
If like me you’re an Australian who went overseas for their web hosting, do yourself a favour and come home. I don’t know what the future holds, but my bet is that it’ll be better onshore. I am getting a higher quality better value for money service from DreamIT and you will to.
And yes this review is so glowing it might even look suspicious but I am genuinely that impressed.

pressured into signing up for a new service 12 months before the changeover period that was set by Crazy Domain (always the default with them) to auto-renew. I changed providers just before the changeover. I missed the renewal notices amongst all their other spammy emails. Have been charged $400 for a service I will not be using and their attitude is, oh well. The ACCC were right to fine this company in 2025 for misleading practices and they should keep a close eye on them as their business conduct remains suspect.

requested the EPP code to transfer everything away (domain and hosting and emails), making it clear I intended to move off the service.
After confirming that my domain and hosting were being transferred, I was not informed at any point via the support chat that I also needed to separately cancel the account. I assumed that transferring everything would effectively end the service. While I accept that this assumption was incorrect, there was no guidance from support indicating that an additional cancellation step was required.
On 31 March, I was billed again for hosting covering the period 5 April 2026 to April 2027. This charge was applied before the new billing period began. I disputed the charge prior to 5 April and requested a refund for the unused period, but this was declined.
Despite clearly indicating my intention to cancel and no longer use the service, I have been charged over $2,000 for hosting I did not use.

has completely collapsed. My website has been down since mid-December. Every call or email references a case number, yet each time I contact support, they have no record of prior conversations and force me to start from square one. When it finally feels like progress is being made, the case is closed, a new support agent takes over, and the entire process resets. I currently have 7+ case numbers for the same unresolved issue. No follow-through. No accountability. Nothing is ever actually done. My site is a static site. No changes were made. In mid-December, every ProPhoto site hosted with Bluehost went down, while ProPhoto sites hosted elsewhere remained unaffected. Bluehost has still failed to identify or resolve the issue. I asked how to report the complete breakdown of their case management and was told there is no one to escalate to. I paid for a full year of hosting and will lose at least six months due to their inability—or unwillingness—to provide basic technical support. Every single page of my site is down. If you need any real support, avoid Bluehost like the plague. Their service is a joke.
