Great portable cot – Great well made portable cot but a little tricky to fold down.. Once you get used to it then OK .. We used it for the grandchildren when they came over for baby sitting until our grandson worked out how to climb out then sold it on Gumtree for the same as we paid for it three years previous which shows how they keep their value ..

Does Everything It Should – Mine is the later edition with the webbing all the way to the base. We found it very easy to set up and take down the cot, but the comments on the terrible instructions are warranted for the bassinet and change table features. The biggest problem is the lack of clarity and detail in what purport to be pictures of where rods go. I gave up on the… Read more ·  1

instructions and put those bits together by discovery. The base handle in the middle of the base is not intrusive when folded down when assembled. The mat is not a full cot mattress but more comfy to an adult hand than many other porta cots we checked in stores. Some might find it a bit heavy. It is sturdy. Quite pleased overall.

Shocking design – It is quite impossible to open and fold this cot safely by following the instructions supplied. You should put up the photos of the men on your website (yes, I am sure it must have been men) who designed this cot and especially the one who wrote the instructions. I would like to put their faces on my dartboard for practice.

Dreamtime cot a dream to use – We bought this portacot mainly for the spacesaving it offered. Because we had a small room and wanted baby in with us, the 3 in 1 options were perfect. The storage space under the bassinet worked awesome for toys, blankets and too big clothes while also providing extra support for the bassinet when baby was in it. The change table part was easy to… Read more

fit in place and lift out of the way when not needed. The brakes were also an added bonus! And while traveling it was perfect! Great value for the price.

Worst portacot ever! – Once you have set this portacot up a few times it does get easier, although our safety lock doesn't actually lock in causing the cot to semi collapse! The so called mattress is hard and uneven once in the cot and has a huge lump in it due to the safety lock. Was given this as a present, would never buy it and unfortunately my l.o despite many… Read more

attempts won't sleep in it and to be honest I don't blame her. Don't know how this met our safety standards! Nothing! Everything!

How can this meet. Australian standards? – The locking mechanism creates a hard lump in the middle of the cot, so baby is not on a flat surface. This cannot meet Aussie safety standards surely, or SIDS safe sleeping recommendations. The change mat and bassinet are fine but once babe can sit and these additions are no longer needed this cot is dangerous. I have stopped using it.

Terrible Design!! – This a terribly designed portacot! It is a 3 in1 cot but once the extremely hard to put together change table is assembled it is impossible to get apart. It is supposed to be portable but if you want to take all the pieces (ie the bassinette & changetable) you would have to take the box it came in because all the parts don't fit in with the… Read more

portacot when mattress is folded up around it! The mattress is extremely hard and the locking mechanism in the base creates a hill in the middle so extremely uncomfortable!

Pain to pull apart, hill in mattress & mattress very hard

Pleased with product for price – I paid $89 for this cot on sale at Target and am very pleased with the bassinette insert (I find bending down very uncomfortable on my back) so having the extra height is fantastic. It was easy to assemble, feels quality yet light weight for moving around. I would recommend this portacot to anyone starting out, it seems as good as any of the others out there. Practability Instructions were a little here and there

Does the job – This cot is fine but I wouldn't rave about it. I really like the bassinet and change table features; I think they work well and I like that you can flip the change table out of the way. The bassinet has been very handy for one grandparent who is unable to bend down low enough to pick up a young baby from the bottom of the cot. As others have… Read more

stated, the base is very thin and I personally wouldn't want to sleep on it. Having said that, neither of my kids have ever seemed bothered by its thinness. I find this cot easy enough to set up and take down, I think it is just like any other we've tried at hotels etc (i.e. tricky until you figure it out).

Given my time over, I wouldn't buy this cot - I'd choose a different cot with a thicker mattress, but still with the bassinet and change table. Change table and bassinet very handy in early months, cheap Thin mattress

Safety the reason for firm base – This is in response to other reviews complaining about the mattress being too thin & uncomfortable. Safety is the reason a portacot's mattress is not spongy & deluxe. It's to make sure baby doesn't suffocate or get stuck and struggle to breathe. Adding playmats & extra layers is dangerous. A 5 month old baby called [name removed] died in a… Read more

portacot with an added mattress. It was reported in the paper etc. So to "Secondtimeround", "Pawfect" & "Beausmum" there are sound safety reasons for a flat, firm

bases in portacots. Baby's safety & life is vital. I have not bought this one, but have owned a portacot. I was researching for a friend and found these worrying reviews which suggest people add padding to the base. This is unsafe & that's why there is a warning to that effect on portacots. I have given a mid level star rating because I can't review this model specifically.

Great idea, with horrible instructions – We bought this because of convenience. Who doesn't want a 3-1 that can grow with the baby?? Putting it together however was a nightmare as the instructions are very incomplete and at times can be misleading. As for the locking feature in the base itself? It needed 2 people to work it! Setting up the bassinet part was an excersize in… Read more

frustration as the instructions don't make it clear that the "mattress" was actually the hard base that goes in the bottom.

As for setting up the change table?? Just fitting the frame for the change table nearly made me cry, and then trying to fit it the playpen frame had me ready to call the customer service people and yell.

Once a person knows how to set these up, I'm sure they are great, but for a first time user? The instructions suck! Great 3in1 concept, convenience if space is a premium and travel/portability is a hit. The locking mechanism is a pain and the instructions are worthless. Assembly of the changing table frame is ultra frustrating too.

Perfect for Holidays – We bought this Portacot to take away on holiday's. Its been fantastic as its lights and compact and love the features of change table and bassinet insert as it really does safe your back. It only takes a couple of minutes to set up and I would highly recommened this portacot for anyone looking for one and can be purchased from Target. Light, Compact, Perfect for travel, change table and bassinet insert

Great for travelling - but needs a little more – We've had this portacot since the little one was born as we do travel frequently. Setting up and striking down hasn't been a problem - even our parents can do it! The only issue has been the mattress - we're searching for something we can put on top of the plastic-covered base as it's way too cold where we live and sometimes travel to to have… Read more

the little one lying directly on it.

Apart from that, it's fine for travelling. Reliable, good price, convenient packing. The flimsy and very uncomfortable 'mattress', which is more of a base than anything.

Never again! – I bought this portacot from Target for when my grandson visits. It comes with what they call a mattress but with what I can only describe as a thin board with a plastic cover over it. To make matters worse, there's a warning on it to deter you from placing any kind of padding on it which might actually make it fit to sleep on. I searched for hours… Read more

on the Internet trying to find a solution to the problem and failed. Fortunately, on a trip to Coffs Harbour not long after, I went into a Baby Bella store to look for a high-chair and found, to my surprise, a Babyhood Play Mat, made of foam with a cotton over, which was just the right size for the portacot. When I got home, I placed it on top of the portacot mattress and encased both in a fitted flannelette sheet. Baby can now sleep on a mattress that is comfortable, secure and safe. All up it cost me $148 - $99 for the portacot and $49 for the playmat-come-mattress. I would never buy this portacot again.

The mattress is appalling.

Safety lock nightmare – The only good part about this cot is watching my wife set it up ;) The safety lock was always very difficult to use when setting it up and packing it down, now I believe it has completely failed. Every other facet of this cot is good, however all the good points are rendered useless through the Safety lock nightmare! pockets for extra storage,… Read more

height adjustment option, change table Saftey lock is rubbish. Im not the only one with safety lock issues, read other reviews.

Great for Nans house – Purchased this portacot for my first grandchild. She comes to stay regularly so the cot is up permantly. I have found the bassinet in the cot is very good and convenient. Saves me having to bend to far. The mattress is comfortable and the baby sleeps soundly. I found it a bit tricky to assemble but once I had done it I had no problem doing it… Read more

again. The only real issue is that the locking button is very stiff and hard to lock into place.

Perfect cot for Grandmas house. The bassinet is very convenient as is the change mat. Great to have it all in one. The locking button in the bottom of the cot is very stiff and hard to lock down.

Not worth the trouble – We bought this to use at the holiday house. We liked that it had the change table & bassinet (I have a bad back, so that helps heaps), however we've found the base is quite hard to lock down. I'm so scared that if my baby moves around too much in bed it'll spring up! (Already the handle to grip the base has popped up while she was sleeping and… Read more

caused a 'hill' in the mattress). The mattress is awful too - very hard and the slats just don't fit together nicely on it. We have to put a blanket over it for extra padding, otherwise our bub constantly wakes during the night. Cheap price, plus change table & bassinet are great base is tricky & not safe IMO + mattress is uncomfortable & needs more padding.

Does anyone have a NZ/AUS safety standard cert that comes with the cot when brought? I need one ASAP

So so – Purchased this portacot to use when visiting my parents. Had seen a couple of good reviews. However, I find is portacot heavy to carry (I don't take it with me when we fly to and from my parents for this reason). It takes a fair few times to learn how to put it up and collapse it. However I find the base awful. My son doesn't settle well in it,… Read more

the base where you lock the frame sticks up past the mattress, causing a lump in the base. The mattress is very hard and I would imagine uncomfortable.

Given the chance to pick my portacot again, I would invest in something more lightweight and with a better base and mattress. Sturdy frame Hard mattress, heavy to carry.

Fantastic. We use it all the time – We purchased this porta cot to use when visiting the Grandparents and also for camping. It is fantastic for both! It comes with: a change table that attaches to the top which is quite large and sturdy - plenty of pockets on the sides for storage of nappies, wipes etc - a bassinet for littler ones that hangs inside so the base is raised 2/3 of… Read more ·  1

the way up the cot (great for your back when getting baby out) - mozzie and fly net that fits tightly over the entire cot - great as a playpen when camping as it's raised off the ground and has breathable mesh sides. It's very affordable too. It takes a few gos to master getting it up and down but once you've got it it takes only seconds.
