Very impressed for the price. Very easy to put up, genuinely lightweight, and has a decent sized mattress (in terms of depth) compared to others I looked at. Tested for 1 weekend and baby who isn’t the best sleeper anyway did very well! due to the height. But it’s fine for us. Love the zip that opens at the side - we will use that feature when we go camping and have the portacot in the tent! I’ve tried a few portacots in the past and this one ticks most boxes.

requires feeds through the night…I purchased the Star Kids Amico Portacot as I loved the side opening feature which means feeding my daughter through her feeding port is so much easier when I’m not bent over a cot trying to reach down to connect her feeding tube and having to stay hunched over for 30-60 mins each feed!
Cot was super easy to assemble and pack down and comes in a great little travel bag. My daughter loved it and it’s the perfect size for her ☺️ Very sturdy and secure. Online shopping experience on the website was very easy. Shipping was super fast and I was kept updated every step of the way.

Very happy with the Star Kidz Amico portacot. It was one of the only ones where the child lays on the floor and there's a door on the side. This makes it so much easier for my partner to lay beside our son until he's asleep, without having to lower him down into the cot (which often wakes him up). A waste of time and money - it is going into the bin – I purchased two of these for my (expected) twin grandchildren. The first portacot was faulty: the legs did not fit into the socket and I received a refund for this one. only used three times. I was offered a replacement skin for this one, if I paid the postage. I declined this offer as I would never trust a Star Kids product again, and I would certainly not endanger the babies in one of these portacots. It seems that the plastics in this cot are not fit for purpose, and thee manufacturing process is substandard. I subsequently bought a second-hand Baby Bjorn portacot to replace the first faulty cot. It is simpler to assemble and much more sturdy.
Great affordable and easy to use – Bought this 2nd hand. Otherwise it's still really affordable full price as a travel cot/playpen. It's the same dimensions as the Baby Bjorn, assembled and then folded. Ended up purchasing this over the Baby Bjorn because it opens on the side and easier on the back. Great value for money – Great value for money! Only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because I find the poles for the legs to be tricky to get in and out of high is not the best when you’ve got a toddler running round as you’re trying to do it. Best safe place for baby to sleep – I really LOVE this portacot as its one of the safest place for little one to sleep. Its very easy to assemble especially for a pettite like me. Such a great portacot!! – This portacot is so great! Well worth the cost! The mattress is a great thickness, so nice and comfortable for baby, easy to setup/pack down, good size packed up and nice and light. The zipper on the front feature has been so useful while camping, for putting Bub in for a sleep after a feed. This is perfect for my Grandson’s sleepovers – Easy to put together. Very compact for travelling I mostly use it for when I take care of my gorgeous grandson. He loves it! can also be compactly packed away is another benefit. It’s supposed to closely resemble the Baby Bjorn travelcot but for a fraction of the price! We’ll be using this cot when on holidays overseas soon and test it out whilst travelling but so far, so good! Can’t recommend this cot enough. also added a mattress protector. I love the safety feature of attaching the mattress to the bottom of the cot. It is a really good tight secure fit. He loves it! He settles easily and quickly in it. Good value, delivery was quick from the Nanny-Annie website. I keep it in a spare room so don’t regularly put it away but the bag that it comes with looks sturdy. It was very easy and quick to put up. I highly recommend it.

Cons - the base needs some extra support under the middle of the mattress as it tends to bow in the middle therefore not being completely flat. - smaller than a lot of portacots so might not suit a tall toddler. - failed Choice safety tests but it seems like 99% of portacots fail. Despite this, I feel confident that my toddler is safe in this cot.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this cot if you're looking for something that is comfortable, lightweight and folds away a lot smaller than other portacots on the market.

Star kidz amico portacot – I love this portacot mostly because of the side access point. It’s so much easier on my back not having to bend over to pick or put down my baby.
