Piece of garbage that stopped working after three tries and only lasted six months. Even when it did work it was so hard to start and hard to cut grass and push it on the lawn

Purchased at Amazon for $260.

I've been using the Baumer AG720SX since 2020 on my 800 m² Gippsland property with kikuyu grass and a decent roadside nature strip. The mower has been extremely reliable. Three pushes of the primer and it starts on the first pull every time. Maintenance has been minimal—oil changes only every couple of years, sometimes using leftover 5W-30 oil, and regular 91 unleaded fuel. The only parts now showing wear are the blades, which I've sharpened many times with an angle grinder, and the starter rope, which is beginning to wear after years of use. Other than that, everything still works as it should. I initially thought the nylon cloth fabric catcher would be the first thing to fail, but it remains in excellent condition. The plastic wheels have also held up surprisingly well. It spends its life in a garden shed that occasionally gets water on the floor, yet there is still no sign of corrosion on the steel deck. Overall, it has proven to be a tough and dependable mower that asks for very little in return. Based on my experience, this mower has already delivered outstanding value and I can easily see it lasting several more years. With proper maintenance, I wouldn't be surprised if it reaches the 10-year mark without major issues. A well deserved 5 stars to Baumer Ag 720SX.

Purchased in at Edisons for $247.

Hi Sandra, Thank you for taking my call earlier and explaining the situation you are in. I understand pull start mowers can sometimes be frustrating, especially if it's brand new, you expect it works with no dramas.

As discussed, please check your inbox, I have sent you the email we agreed upon and we'll go from there. Rest assured, I will personally handle this case myself.

No PARTS! Do not buy – Purchased this from edisons mid 2019. Ran fine until the catch clips broke soon after. Poorly designed. There are 2x small plastic built in protrusions which act as holding clips. If they break, the catch is unusable.could have been easily designed as separate screw on pieces which can be replaced. Secondly the recoil starter became faulty. Had to open it myself and fix it after much pain and greasy hands. Again after a few months the recoil broke again. Asked a few mower shops on GC about replacement parts and they said being a Chinese brand, no parts available. Went to edisons website and navigated to the mower page and ordered the starter recoil. Came to know that it got delivered as the wrong type. Asked Edisons about why so- they said the model 720sx has had a change (but retained the name) so parts for earlier version are no longer available. Mower is now useless with more than $100spent on catch and blades. Stay away from Baumr Ag until they can guarantee parts!

Purchased in at Edisons for $249.

Hi OZ Buyer, I do apologise for the inconvenience you have experienced! We do usually provide parts for our items and can usually source them from the supplier regardless of if you've run out of warranty.

Could you provide me with your order number so I can check your model lawn mower and get back to you via email?

We would love to assist you with this and get the issue resolved for you!

Thank you

BAUMR-AG 720sx purchased July 2019. After I purchased the catch, blade and recoil starter and realizing the recoil starter is incorrect. Made contact with EDISONS CUSTOMER SERVIDE. A rep from your Edisons team sent me the below. I can't even use the lawn mower now as I can't start it! Pls advise if you can source the recoil starter as per photo. The brown one is mine and the black one is the one you sent.

"Hi, Based on the photos, what you have is an early version of the mower. The new model is now this:

Unfortunately, the part you purchased would only fit to the new version of this mower. We don't have parts for the old motors anymore

Cheap & Get what you pay for – On the hunt for a cheap mower & come across this & figured for $280 delivered if it last a couple of years or 3 or 4 then what the hell. Come with in the week. 1st it's a tad smaller then I actually imagined but with a large yard (1/4 acre) that has a lot of garden beds it turned out to be good due to narrow grassways. While it looks good like a lot of cheaper mowers I dare say will have to make sure I treat it right unlike the last mower that still goes but one blade flew off so 15 year later a newer mower.

It does have low revs so makes it ultra quiet tho I reckon if your yard grows fast & thick may be will struggle, having said that the back yard had a very thick section. That was 2 foot high & while it struggles with that it still done the job.

I keep my lawn low & cut every week so the low revs won't bother me.

It has a small fuel tank BUT so far I get the whole yard 1/4 acre done & still has plenty left in the tank so & do the yard half way through until I need more fuel so it's great on fuel.

I have used it a few times & while it looks a tad delicate It is doing the job.

Would I recommend? Hard one really, for me it will do the job as I love mowing & do it every week just about. If I had a yard that grew like the proverbial then no would pay a lot more for a lot more power.
