Overall build and engine performance are ok. The rear wheels have very little grip and just spin when trying to move under self propelled function. I'm using it on second to lowest setting, can't put any lower as the frame of the mower seems to hit the grass almost as if the blades need to be set lower. I'm trying to see if I can get some wheels… Read more

with grip to vercome the issue to some extent, the hard plastic wheels have almost no grip.

I see BAUMR do reply to these reviews so I'm hoping I can get some assitance here.

Happy to change my rating if I can get an improvement.

Cheers.

Awesome mower - Very poor pick up times – Mower is to replace the exact same model. I mow lawns so I use it almost everyday. Last one from 2022 is still serviceable, but needs attention as it keeps stopping. I will fix it and use it as a spare. Great Price. Awesome machine. Only reason not 5 stars is the crappy hours for pickup. 9am-3pm mon-Fri only. Very poor not good enough customer service. Should be at least Sat morning or an early time on one day at least. Show details ·  2

Early problems with self propel function – The mower is less than 12 months old and the self propelled function stopped working on the weekend. Not happy with that, at all. The mower has only been used approximately a dozen times. Also ensure to check the tightness of all bolts/screws prior to inital use. I found multiple loose nuts/bolts. Just to follow on from this: the self… Read more ·  2

propelled belt had come off due to build up of grass under the belt cover. Its not a massive job to do this, but a pain in the backside. I now just hose out under the cover after each use. All ok now

Excellent machine – Starts first time, one press of the prime. First time use put it though heavy grass and worked it hard,so far it has done well and did not falter. The motor is powerful and no effort in self propel mode,Drop the clutch handle, and it handles like a normal mower so it can be handled on the turns and pulled backwards. It looks like the clutch belt… Read more ·  1

can be replaced easily enough,by removing the blade plate. So, so far so good.It would be better with electro start,as the pull rope is difficult to pull as it is impeded by the handle.I also have a 22'' chainsaw which has seen a lot of work which still starts first time.

Can this mower be pulled backwards after mowing under a tree? – can you pull this 840SX backwards. it won't move backwards after taking it out of the carton it arrived in today. there is no phone number to ring up about the mower for help to install it or question on how to run it. Edisons have no contact phone. Pull the cardboard out from underneath Show details ·  3

Mower is unreliable and will not last – Stick to what you know.. My victa lasted 10 years. This mower sold by Edison did not even make 2 years..I started it up, mowed one strip and it stopped..the plate won't turn at all mower is already seized.. Please don't waste your money at all you will regret it...
